Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

The ones that come in the bundle with the black and silver door covers? Not that I've ever seen. I keep hoping they will because I'd love to snag a spare.
 
Anyone check clearance prices today? Someone had mentioned the previous drops took place on 1/4 so speculation was new drops would happen 2/4. Couldn't get out to check today...

Yeah, those. They're getting tougher to find...might even be OOP. Haven't seen a PSP-3000 battery iteration yet (or maybe these are compatible.)

I scanned a bunch of clearance games today. Everything was still at the January prices at this particular store.
 
i hardly even see batallion wars 2. but it scanned at $24.97 the last time i was there. i also scanned picross before which scanned at $9.97-$14.97
 
yeah, BW2 is like $19.99 everywhere.

The Battallion Wars series never really caught on. but I guess I'll just throw it in the drawer and forget about it for awhile.


Edit: nope, no stickers.
 
Darn, a $20 price drop in 1 month is huge.

Unfortunately the Sears I was at today that had it was still on January pricing and the store I checked that went to December prices on 12/4, was still on January pricing yesterday. I'm going back tomorrow.

Just for clarification....

If there is no white pricing sticker on the case. The game will ring up for the clearance prices (i.e. Mercury Meltdown Revolution Wii $0.97). Otherwise the game rings up for the price that is on the white pricing sticker on the case?

MMR with sticker over the barcode = clearance price

MMR without sticker over the barcode = 14.99

I scanned Armored Core 4 today and it was still $14.97. Will check back in a couple of days.

you know, kmart does not share the same fate for these stickered upc games.. they actually held on to them for quite some time. i remember the viewtiful joe's at kmarts for $1-$3.50 and they were all front lane games.. they've had them for eternity (well maybe 2 years) i guess sears just like clearancing out stuff. i cant wait for the new front lane stuff..

but it seems to be they've been bundling on wii games. anybody seen those lately? i've seen 3 Wii games bundled together and they had a ton of them..
 
I finally found an MMR with a barcode sticker at an out of the way Sears this past weekend, but it was out of the system, so he could only sell it to me for the $19.99 sticker price (of course, I didn't buy it).

I just looked at completed auctions- final fantasy goes for 50 new. same with the pokemons! mAN i ruled today. Not my best flip session, but it ranks up there. :)
 
There are 2x FFVI at the Sears I frequent, and it always scans $29.97. If that fucker dropped to $9.97, the it's time to start taking the GBA to work with me...

Almost every auction I saw where FFVI was going for $50 BIN didn't sell.
 
Both Joes are $1, right?

Damn, I am going to have to do a sears run tomorrow. At $.97, I can buy the games just for the boxes.

It's too bad those copies of DW:G didn't drop sooner, like when Blockbuster was still giving $33 and $35 for EACH PS3 and 360 copy respectively, since I know I would've been grabbing EVERY DAMN COPY to flip for some REALLY cheap gift cards to Red Lobster/Olive Garden/etc/etc.

I'll check my Sears tomorrow, they always seem to be on top of the drops even if the employees are too lazy to mark them. I thought for sure after I bought two rounds of .97 cent games (about 10 games) that the cashiers would have spread the word around but it's still a gold mine.

I selectively hoard/flip. I don't take 90-95% of stuff and then resell it at a flea market like the other people who hit the local stores do. I also usually only do it with the few games that have a 200%+ return.
 
I went to 2 Sears today, both are at the January pricing. So annoying. I did pick up Bionicle for GCN for $0.97 but it was fusturating to see games that should be cheaper like Armored Core 4

Was just at the one ins Evansville, IN. They had Dynasty Warriors Gundam for both 360 and PS3 for 14.97 and eternal sonata for 16.97. I didn't grab any because I all ready own both.
 
ya, i know...im surprised they all were $2.97. Glad i got there when i did cuz i heard an employee call, i guess a buddy of his and tell him they were all $3.
