Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I noticed a lot of winter jackets were on clearance. Stuff regularly priced $100 to $130 was selling for $25 to $30. I'm wondering if those are going to see another price drop.
 
I am hoping they have another major price drop like they did with the summer stuff.

All stuff on clearance for $4.99 or $5.99 or less was $0.99, I got a ton of shorts for $0.99 each that were originally $28 - $32, then all stuff $6.99 - $12.99 was $1.99 and so on.

I can get the numbers...but no matter what I click on I can't see a pic.

Yeah, I didn't have time to look at the men's section when I breezed through there the other day. I'll have to go back and peruse.

By the way, half.com often lists incorrect UPCs. I've tried to locate them on the UPC lookup website, and I get a lot of errors.

Really? I haven't had a wrong one yet. Although sometimes it won't hyave it listed.

Turok $4.97
NBA Street HC $4.97
Armored Core 4 $4.97

The look on the lady that rung me up was priceless. :cool: She looked at me flabbergasted and told me "How is it that you know about this and I working here don't?" That made me laugh :lol:

Woot... Found a Singstar Country bundle for $15. I didn't think it was on clearance yet, I thought it just recently came out.
 
OK, so who here hits up the Newburgh, Poughkeepsie and Horseheads, NY Sears stores? I've been to three auto auctions this week, with a mall within semi close driving distance and all I've found were a few meh $4.97 games and TONS of copies of Viewtiful Joe and Viewtiful Joe 2 for GC marked $.97.

Everything else of real worth or shit that I'd actually WANT is long gone.

I'm just wondering, since I may be headed back to those areas NEXT week too, but I think I'm going to try for a different mall around by Newburgh area.
 
Went in this eve to get Warhawk and F1 adjusted from just shy of a month ago (no issue)...
found PS3 Armored Core 4 & GBA FF VI (both mismarked).

If the VJ games were marked $0.97, chances are the good $4.97 games were also properly marked and either bought by employees or other customers. I have never done well at stores where stuff is correctly marked.
 
Went to a Sears today where Turok and other games rung up $19.97(?!). F1-PS3 rang up $4.97, so I snagged one for a friend. They had the DDR1 bundle there, but it rang up $59.99! I got DDR2 for $4.97 not even 2 weeks ago.
 
Scanned a few games at Sears in El Cajon, first off, none of the games had discount tags on them, they were all tossed in the 24.99 bin.
Oblivion for 14.99 (picked up last copy)

I go to the Newburgh Sears sometimes, only found 1 game recently. I saw they have their clearance games in bins with updated (sort of) price stickers so I think that made it harder to find good deals.

Clearance games end in .97. It is kind of important so we can know when a game enters the clearance cycle. After that, we can watch it drop. Thanks for the info, just try to be more accurate next time.

Picked up Burnout Paradise 360 for $4.97 today. The one I found was the only one with that sticker price on the game, every other copy of that game had a $59.99 sticker on it. I might have got lucky on that one. :)

More details, please. Did they have to manually adjust the price to give it to you at that? Or did it ring up as such? A manual adjust at the register isn't going to do me any good. But otherwise, I need to go pick this up.

This deal needs proof. Even with the wrong tag on a piece of merch. the cashier would have to question that big of a price difference. If the price is lower in the system than the tag price no big deal, if it's the other way around RED FLAG. If they let that sort of stuff slide customers would be switching tags all day long. By the way, isn't Burnout Paradise a glass case game?

at my sears they have it in a bin labeled 19.99 and under games

At my Sears it's not. It's sitting out openly with the other clearance games, however my store has 3 copies marked with a ratty old white sticker as 19.97 (the only 19.97 game in the 360 bin). Maybe I'll have to go check that out after work to try and get a verification... unless someone else can help us out sooner. :bouncy:

I really don't know if he manually keyed in the price? But he did indeed give it to me for the sticker ed $4.97 . Like I said, The others were priced $59.99 and this one had a pink $4.97 on it. I thought I would pass along the info, maybe this was a mistake by the store? I purchased Tenchu Z 360 for $4.97 as well. I tried to get Mercury Meltdown for the wii but it rang up at 14.xx so I told him to take that off.

Same here. When the local Kmarts began to properly mark clearance games, it became SO hard to get ANYTHING before either the employees cleaned them out or the regular customers did.
 
Ha my sears has had pink label stickers on items also and still had ones on the shelf with a different price. The last one I remember getting were about a year and a half ago some poker games for xbox and ps2 for .97 cents and they still had the m as 19.99 on the shelf. The guy in the store told me they were left over from a sidewalk sale and must have forgot to take the stickers off.

I forgot to mention that all the Burnout Paradise games were in a glass case at $59.99 and this one was in the glass case next to them with a pink stickered $4.97, so the cashier got the game for me, this might be why he did not question the price?
 
The JBL iPod mini radial speaker marked at $39.97 is very nice for those interested!
Works with my IPOD Touch, so will work with IPHONE. Very nice sound for a small unit!

Don't know if this is a company wide thing or just a local thing. Hope it's company-wide so that we can all share in the wealth.
 
I think there are officially no more $4.97 games by me now. I just left a store where there were multiple copies of Pirates of the Carribean, Turok, Armored Core, and the other games previously mentioned as recently as Wednesday. Now all gone. An awesome deal while it lasted.

Final Fantasy IV for the GBA for $9.97
and
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker for the DS for $4.97
 
If anyone lives near the store on Carmel Mountain Rd (San Diego) they had a whole section devoted to the clearance games. All stickered with the pink FEB sticker. A LOT of PS2/GBA Games. Sports games for 360/PS3. Nothing I needed but at least 50 or so games in that section.

My mom and I are wondering the same as she is interested in some of the jackets, the Land's Ends coats are the best deal. BTW they do this sale every year on Land's ends coats so if you want those coats, DEFINITELY wait till the sale happens to get them, for the past 2 years we have gotten coats that cost $16-30. There are some coats here that I am sure will go down in price but the only thing I am eying right now is one pair of pants.

Also of note: If your Sears has any toys left from X-Mas, they ALL ring up 75% off sticker price.
 
Last time i was there which was a week ago. There were only sports titles on sale. I will check it out when i get back from vacation.

Last time i was there were copies of Eternal Sonata,F1,Dynasty Warriors,Fear and others. I saw those FF GBA games there too.

On topic, however...Did anyone confirm anything about this Burnout Paradise clearance? I was unable to get to Sears and check myself today.

Unjust, when you say picked clean, do you mean ALL the copies of Burnout Paradise were gone? Including the ones locked behind the glass?
 
Can't confirm since everything was marked correctly and the ones left were non clearances on a sears I went to. I think that's just luck that op found it for 4.97 :)
 
Stopped by a Sears Grand store this evening and managed to snag FFVI for $9.97.

EDIT: Corrected my post. Sorry about that!
