Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Well I don't know about policy but I had it done for Singstar 80's a few weeks back.

It was. Scanners were on the other end of the floor and I had to carry large stacks of games over to them, all the while employees were watching me like a hawk. Of course, some of the scanners would seemingly malfunction and not work properly so I had to get the help of an employee anyway to scan (and interrupt their shooting the shit with the other 4 employees in Electronics).

ha, this guy that comes in the store i work in always annoys this one other employee to scan stuff to see if it went clearance.

the guy did it to me once and i was like do u have anything better to do then pick and choose random items for me to scan for u for about 30 mins straight. it only annoyed me because there were other customers that were looking to buy and i couldnt help them because this guy was hogging me to wipe his butt

UPC sheets for the win. Before even going to an employee I know what to ask for from the case, and the shock when everything is rung up is priceless.

That sucks, only one? There's usually about 2-3 in all the local stores here (with one always broken in pretty much every store). I like using the scanner in the clothing departments, usually no one using them for a while and no one around.
 
Went back to 2 more Sear's today, all i could find worth getting was
Naruto Ninja Revolution 2 on the Wii.
Also saw Haze for 10, a few more Guitar Aerosmith bundles for assorted consoles, and DBZ Burst Limit/Iron Man for 10 bucks.

Check out the first post in this thread. Generally though, you get the UPC number from a site like Half.com and have the number converted into a barcode using online sites. I just copy that image to a Word document, put the name of the item next to it and repeat.
 
Anyone else have a Sears that will modify the clearance prices to be even lower (Or maybe higher)?

One that I goto every now and then more or less took every $1-$3 PS2 and PSP game and just made the $.93, got a ton of stuff at a slightly lower price, like Crazy Taxi Fair Wars (Was so glad to see it too, since it was normal price everywhere else), the Sing Star games, and some older PS2 titles like Jak X and Ghost Rider.
 
So I was wondering something about the barcode sheets.

Wouldn't it be more good for the community to have a master sheet in the OP? That way everyone would be able to report the prices they find, weeding out the semi YMMV games vs. the ones that every store seems to have marked down properly?

And make it easier for hoarders/lurkers to pick up all the cheap games before CAGs get to them? I don't think so.

I went to the Hicksville, NY Sears and their video game section is stocked and looks like they havent sold a game in months but they had nothing marked for clearance.

Any hints ? Do you ask them to take the game out of the glass case and then it scans on clearance ?

Wow. I've been looking for Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for months. How I wish the Sears in my area had it in stock. Sigh! Any kind CAG could help? ;)
 
I have yet another confirmation of the Guitar Hero drops. Mine had GHIII for 360 for $4.97 and GH Aerosmith for PS3 at $7.97. Both were still marked at MSRP!

i saw every game on the new June clearance list except Monster hunter 2 and Shadowrun in my area but there weren't discounted yet. :( I guess i have to wait til next month.
 
It says the nationwide PCN for Div. 58 activated last Friday (the markdowns) contains 84 items, so I think we are missing quite a few. This includes accessories as well, of which many went down. Unfortunately it does not list them individually.

I think I might check another Sears tonight and update with what I find.
 
Sears in Bayamon PR, had Condemend 9.99, Civ Rev 9.99, Batlefield BC 20.99, Quake Wars 9.99...

No DBZ which is what iwanted. Ill probably wait till next month to pick some of these up.

Im suprised you found a Tetris Ds thats been out of print i think. Wish i could find one too :p
 
I was at Sears today and this is what I checked.

:ps3: GH Aerosmith, $9.97
:ps3: GH Aerosmith Guitar Bundle, $7.97
:ps3: Gundam Crossfire, $19.99 (WTF?)
:ps3: Bioshock, $14.97 (Again, WTF?)

These two I checked just to check.
:ps2: Digimon World Data Squad, $9.99
:psp: Silent Hill Origins, $19.99

I also noticed that the PS3 Optical Audio Cable was marked $9.97 and the HDMI/USB combo was marked $63.97. I didn't price check either since they were on a locked hook.

I noticed those too yesterday at the store I hit, though I already picked up 3 of each from various Kmarts around here. Thing is, two bundles of the cables are already spoken for between myself and a fellow CAG.

Not a bad deal though, getting $110 worth of cables for $11.

Did you actually scan all the titles or were you just going by price tags?
 
Sears at the Florida Mall in Orlando, FL had the $4.97 GH3 bundle (saw around 5-7 still there when I left) and the $7.97 GH:A bundle. Did not check the price for any other versions; does anyone know if the Wii version of GH3 has been put on clearance/for what price? Also found the last copy of $9.97 Ninja Gaiden II and a cool looking blue retro/faded DC Comics heroes t-shirt for $4.98 (was tagged $9.99 so it was quite the pleasant surprize when it rung up lower lol).

Ok, thanks. When I told my friend about the cheap price for the 360 version, he had been wondering if the Wii version was as cheap (since his friend only has a Wii). Oh well, maybe it'll go down in price later.
 
Picked up Singstar Pop and Amped for $1.97 each.

I also saw the Flip 60 min. video recorder for $119.97, and the Flip HD for $159.97. Both are on clearance, so I would keep my eyes peeled for another drop next month. This is a super small, sweet camera with 2gb of internal memory.

Some other dude was there snatching up the GHIII bundles and at least 2 Rock Band 2 bundles.

Division 03 (cameras) is two weeks before games usually. This month it was only one. Was it a printed yellow clearance tag, or handwritten yellow clearance tag? Printed means it's a liquidation of stock of that item (new in box, remaining store stock only), handwritten clearance tag means it's a floor model.

Check on the 25th. I'd imagine $85 and $109 respectively, but that's just a ballpark estimate. That means the prices you listed SHOULD apply to all stores, unless they activated future PCNs early/didn't activate the previous one.

Did I already list PS3 Rock Band 1 bundle for $59.97? If not on the floor ask if they have it out back.

Those are just ballpark estimates based off the "average" discount they do monthly on cameras. It's sickening sometimes, a Sony HDD Camcorder went down from $699.97 (originally $849.99) to $389.97. Less than half price after two months on clearance? Go Sears.

Game clearances are slow sometimes because they already make nothing off the games after taking into account the square footage it takes to store them, our commission, operating costs. So when they clearance them they're losing money and want to squeeze every penny they can out of them.

Cameras and TVs however, they are so limited for space they have to mark them down to move them quick or the new merchandise will have already had price drops/clearance before there is even space to display them on the floor.
 
PM me your price range, I'll run some numbers for clearance 46" sammys tomorrow and see if I can find one in your price range. Unfortunately, there would be no way to find out if it's in stock near you, but I can give you all the information needed to ask stores.
 
Rockband SE for the PS3 appear to be down to 69.97.

I found a RB2 with the sticker on it- and the cashier was more than happy to honor it for me, but it required manager approval and he was a douche.
 
Well I was there I noticed that Some of the Led series 5 & 6 (37-50 in.) where on clearance and playing on them was the comercial for the new series 7
