Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

thanks for the list riccaboni! Most of the 4.97 and 9.97 games are gone here in Austin,TX but I remember seeing an eye of judgement and a couple of vision camera bundles and alot of the charge stations. Might look at a further Sears to see what kind of stock they have next weekend.

@ riccaboni. Thanks for the list. Yeah, won't worry about those PM guys. They are probably the same guys that kick kittens and puppies.
 
So the sears by me never has clearance prices posted but they do have the regular prices but with those pink clearance stickers. Does sears universally drop the prices through all stores or is it up to the store to make and post the drops?
 
so... if i buy now, and then the price drops next week, does sears policy refund the difference if i go back to the store? i only ask because i know the local sears has 1 copy left of something i want... and i'd like to just grab it now before next week's drop. but only if i don't screw myself.
 
I got so lucky today. Went to a Sears in another state, just passing through by chance, and found a 120GB HDD for the 360. Picked it up for $69.97 I think.

I picked one up at Sears too just in case I couldn't find a $37 at K-mart. Although, I was able to find one at K-mart. So when the new drops hit, the one from Sears is either getting adjusted (if it drops) or getting returned.

about 2% through the transfer, the drive stopped recognizing and now it's making this spinning noise. The transfer failed.

What the fuck should I do here?

Universal drops but the stores can wait, and mine usually does, until the Monday after the Friday drop date. I'm not sure why the stores do this, it might be easier to start? But they will be available to be activated on Friday.

Sears official policy is they won't price adjust clearance and closeout items. Any other item in the store, you have 30 days to price adjust. I would recommend against waiting or trying to price adjust, only because the item might be gone by next Friday. The clearance stuff at my store FLIES off the shelves and usually isn't properly marked for days.

argh. ok. i mentioned this sale to my wife and she reminded me we're also going out of town on wednesday for about a week. so it's either buy tomorrow (sunday) and hope for the price adjustment, or get back well after the sale is underway and not get anything. oh well. i guess i'm sol unless they do the price adjustment. i could always just return stuff, i guess, unless they don't take returns on clearanced games.

Actually, sears official policy is that they wont price adjust clearance and closeout apparel. Video games do not fall under that category.

Honestly, the easiest way to do it is to ask to do a return & re-buy. A price adjustment requires manager override while a return/rebuy doesn't unless you used a debit card and want it put back on the debit card rather than getting cash back (choosing cash doesn't require manager override)

I actually want everyone to have it, as it benefits our store, and Sears as a whole, to move not moving merchandise, and C.) let's face it, there are a ton of members registered to CAG. How many of them actually post? There are just as many "sleazebag", "no good", "straight to eBay" folks roaming CAG who never post. If one single person complains that I posted this list, A.) I will never post a list again and B.) I will post it to Slick Deals myself. This board is accessible via Google, ya know, so it wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to find it. I took a good hour, hour and a half scouring for these, essentially risking my job, and posting them here for everyone to enjoy. Does that include people who will never open the games and immediately resell them? Probably. Does that include people who will buy the games and enjoy them? Absolutely also. Use the list as you see fit.

Thanks for the list, but is it only for items your store has? I notice there is no Bioshock or Civilization Revolution.

Also, do you know which DDR it is? Or if its the 3 month or 12 month live bundle?

Yes, I believe he mentioned those were only titles at his store and that we should check all clearance titles to see if they also dropped in price.
 
I went back to Sear's today because I didn't realize there was one where I was going yesterday and hadn't looked at the list closely to see what was available, or print any UPCs. I figured since they had the Simpson's for $5 they may have some good prices on other games. For the most part prices rang up the same on the items I printed UPCs for, however, all the stuff that was in stock at the store rang up at full price or a little less.

They did have a couple Mercury Meltdown Revolution's for the Wii that I've been wanting to get they had the $15 sticker like I seen on one of the pages in the thread, but it still rang up at $15, I checked the other UPC for the cheaper one and it did ring up $0.99, but I couldn't find anyway.

Hopefully I will be able to snag up a couple of good deals there eventually.
 
It is unlikely to find the $0.97 Mercury for Wii by now. It has been $0.97 for 6 months and most of those value UPC games are long gone.

Not worth it... you have to pay a fee to use the expansion cards, as well as buy all the fricking cards. It's really a horrible marketing ploy with a lousy cardgame behind it. So much wasted potential... but honestly, CHARGING you to use cards you paid for?

Went to my local Sears today and they had plenty of EoJs for $30, since were a usually hella late I bought it. Currently installing it, the game is okay but I obviously didn't buy it for that.

I went to Sears and found EoJ for $30, not the $16 listed on the first post. Is this YMMV on some games?
 
I went to my sears today and got viking for $4.97 and the nyko inner cooler for 2.97 they still have tetris evolution for 18 dollars...

I didn't like my innercooler, if you can't find one I'll mail you it for 2.97 plus shipping...
 
rics list is about 1/3 to 1/2 of all of them, as always theres no printed list.

alot going out of system, i just had to get rid of folklore, cc3 and a few other good ones today. mostly junk but those ones hurt.

dont get on here much anymore, try to be better in the future.

CRAP!!! Had I known Folklore was dropping from $10 to out of the system, I might've grabbed it for trade fodder from a further Sears I saw it at yesterday.

However, $10 is a tad too high of a price for me to just be sitting on a game waiting and hoping someone will make an offer for it. Now if it were $1.97 to $4.97, then I might've picked it up.

I already had one copy from the same store and I ended up using it for the 'trade 3, get Fight Night Round 4' Gamestop deal, since I can't stand most turn based games.

I have no reason to really go back down that way to pick it up either, since the store is about 30-40 minutes from here, unless someone were to make it worth my while. :razz:
 
That's what Ferant insinuated or so I thought. I hate that these clearance drops are very very YMMV and not at all consistent. I mean, why drop one game to .97, another to $1.97 and then have a $9.97 game drop out of the system before reaching either of those two other pricepoints?

It makes no fuckin' sense whatsoever. The store I went to yesterday even had a pack of the HDMI/USB cables from Sony that I picked up from Kmart for $8 for $40 with a MAY sticker still on them.

I figured they had to be cheaper by now. Price checked them.....still $40.....

Either someone at that store doesn't like doing updates or is or was saving these items for themselves till the lowest drop to snap them up.
 
Ever since the employees and some fellow CAG's started hitting both of my two closest stores, it's been near impossible to get many clearance games.

Either I would've had to buy them at the $20 and $30 pricepoints and hope they drop to $5-10 and keep either doing the return & rebuy or just go without them.

Luckily, this further Sears had a bunch of decent games for PS3 when I first hit it(Civ Rev, Quake Wars, etc), but now that one also seems to have been somewhat cleaned out.

The only good thing is, it appears that the stickers are rarely updated, even if the prices are, so hopefully Bioshock will still be there in 2 months or whenever it hopefully drops to $5 a copy.

i am also crossing my fingers for the day that bioshock drops. i haven't gotten a good sears deal in probably 4 months.

i'm just curious - has cag gotten a lot more popular lately? i am rather new here, since february 2009, but it seems as if even the "secret" sears stores that i found in february have been hit hard lately. i used to be able to find all sorts of amazing goodies earlier in the year, but now it has dried up completely. or does this happen each year, during the summer when there are younger people working and snatching all the games before i can get there?
