Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I thought drop day was supposed to be the 6th? Typical YMMV mess that clearance is. I checked Viking for PS3 at one of my local Sears stores the other day and it was STILL $14.97. Not that it matters anyway, since I picked it and Conan up for $10 total during the Blockbuster B1G1.

Going back tonight for a price adjustment on Blacksite: Area 51 (still ringing up $15 earlier this week).
 
Wait, so I was going to run out this afternoon because I thought stuff was dropping? I'm shocked at the lack of reports... What's up? I don't want to drive 30 miles round trip if nothing has changed! Though I'm kind of committed now because I promised my son we'd swing by Guitar Center after hitting up Sears :lol:. So I guess I'll have a report in a few hours one way or the other.
 
Today I picked up:

(360) Command & Conquer 3 - Tiberium Wars ($4.97)

Not bad for just under $30.
 
Do your local stores stash the clearance games in the back while they re-sticker each month, and then bring them back out to the bin once they've dropped?

I've found 4 games out of all the August drops, and none of the titles were in the glass case, either. It could also be that they dumped them all into the bin on August 1, and they got scooped up quick this week.

I don't think drops hit on the 6th, I think drops hit the first Friday of the month (or it may be the first Friday of the month that also has a Monday in the month that week? - I don't think we have a true confirmation of this, but that is my guess)

Can anyone confirm the price drop was today? (as in, one item was more within the last 4 days or so but went down today) I was at my local sears on Monday, I;m hoping the prices have dropped by now rather then my sears just not activating the new prices.

In the past the drops usually happened on a Friday. It looks like the new prices are in effect as evidenced by the reports today (though a few more confirmations would be nice).
 
Nothing doing at my Sears. I guess they haven't tagged anything yet for August. The Tivo that was there last month was gone though. Associate said it went for $100-something.

Made a big score, got :360: Viking, Bourne, DBZ: Burst Limit, Condemned 2, Turning Point, and Quake Wars x 2, as well as a Nyko dual charger. $50 for the lot. Damn it feels good to be a CAG-ster.

There was a dude browsing, and his eyes just about fell out of his head when he saw the cashier ring me up. Love it when that happens. I told him what was on sale and he only got Bourne. There are still a couple of Turning Points left at Sears Cambridge, MA as well as some Nyko double chargers. Saw a couple of PS3 Vikings, but didn't examine the section closely.

Oh, also :wii: Naruto Ninja Revolution 2 (or whatever) was $5 as well. Got that one for my nephew.

Snagged Viking for ps3 for 4.97. Lost Odyssey for 2.97. Found multiple copies of Folklore at 4.97 as well.

Now they just need to clearance out those God of War edition psps they've got a stack of and still asking $200 for.
 
in Austin saw 360 Viking for 4.97, Condemned 2 for 4.97, Guitar Hero Aerosmith for 9.97. I hate how they put all the 19.99 games in the same place as the clearance games. However, they did have there was a Flip 60 Min Video Camera for 61.97 or something around that, a Nikon Coolpix S550 for 79.97, and an Olympus FE-320 for 51.97. Didn't check too much else but will go to another one tomorrow

Yeah, it's the dual charge kit with two battery packs. I wouldn't buy just a charger base because I know that some of the Nyko stuff is screwy and not interoperable. The two-charger set with two batteries was $15, all the games I got were $5.

Also, for the record, I hit the Sears in Saugus, MA early in the week and many of these games were in stock there but hadn't dropped. Maybe they dropped today?? I got all the stuff I wanted, pretty much (would love Lost Odyssey for cheaps but haven't seen it in Sears in ages-- the bargain hunters around here seem to love JRPGs in particular, I always have a hard time finding them on clearance) so I'm not going out there myself.
 
The 6 pink Flip cameras that were in my store last week are gone now. Hard to believe that they sold all 6 just like that, but whatever.

I bought a Folklore on 8/1 for $9.97. I wish I hadn't because when I went in there today they still had the other and it rang up $4.97 ;). On 8/1 I also got the Formula 1 game for $4.97 - does anyone know if that dropped to $1.97? If that's the case, I'll go back and try to price adjust both of those.

This is the freaky store that had NO PS3 clearance games when Folklore originally hit $9.97. I was looking for a ton of stuff but besides the GH Aero bundles they had nothing and the clerk told me they were all out of PS3 stuff. Well, I'm glad I stopped in the other day because they clearly restocked or got these out of some hidden stash in the back. Much to their own detriment, however, they put them out just in time for the new drop.

I also got, all PS3, all $4.97:

Civilization Revolution (man, it would be nice if this got a trophy patch since I already played it on 360)

Afterwards, on a whim I had them price check NBA Balller Chosen One and it came up $1.97. I still had to think about that one but I decided I better get it. If nothing else it is a new case and trade-in fodder if GS brings back their tiered trade-in (and I need filler to get the higher bonus percentage). Or I could send it to my Dad to put with his PS3 for when his stepsons come to visit. I dunno - it's just very hard to pass up sealed current-gen games for $2 or less :lol:.

Oh, I also price checked Eye of Judgment because someone said that was pretty cheap. While it was discounted from the marked price of $69.99 or whatever, it was still $50-something (maybe $54.97?).

Gosh, how is everyone getting so many deals. All the Sears around me have been wiped cleared of all of this stuff most of the summer.

Well, yeah, I usually have pretty bad luck at Sears but because they pulled this stash of PS3 clearance games out of nowhere they hadn't been wiped out yet. I think getting Civ Rev and Heavenly Sword at $4.97 is a severe fluke as those would have been bought at $9.97 or $14.97 or higher at this store had they been out for any length of time. The only reason I got them is that they had them hidden away somewhere while they progressed through all the drops.
 
Oh quick question. So yesterday, while I had no luck with video games, my dad had some luck with an iPod speaker. He's been eyeing this used/open box iPod speaker called the iSongBook. So there was no box for it, was just like a display model. It had a used tag on it that said $30 and my dad even went to scan it to see if it was cheaper, but it was not. He finally gave in and decided to buy it and when the cashier rang him up, it came up as $17....using the same tag my dad had used at a price scanner only mere minutes before. Has this happened to anyone else before?

No, but it's probably like Target with the two systems, where a scanner can scan it up at 0.00 and the hand scanners can have all the prices it was at before.
 
I don't usually shop at Sears but I'll check in tomorrow to see if they have any good deals. Does Sears have price checkers or do you have to go to the cashier to get it price checked? TIA! :)
 
Most stores have a few price checker machines on each floor. Employees usually don't like people taking games out of the electronics though.
 
I think I came across my first CAG today in Sears. Went in to get Bourne (they had two) and one was gone. As I was looking at the PS3 & Xbox case a guy comes over and says "you into Xbox games" "Bourne and Turning Point are $5". I saw at least one game in his Sears bag as he was leaving. He could have been an employee, but if not and you are reading this (in Mass) shoot me a PM.
 
Gonna be hitting 3 Sears later today, I got my barcode sheet ready so heres hoping I find some good stuff. Ill try to post any new finds as soon as I hit a wifi spot

30 days from date of receipt. But as I've said, you're a lot better off doing a return & rebuy than a price adjust. A price adjustment requires manager override, meaning the manager gets the chance to say "Sears doesnt price adjust clearance items" (which they do, but most managers love to make up rules). A return/rebuy does not require manager override unless you paid with debit and want it back on the card rather than getting cash back.
 
everytime i go to sears they have nothing, but i may bite on folklore since ive only been hearing great things about it...arggh i have to many places to drive to today
 
Thanks for the tip on price adjust-- I got a copy of :360: DBZ Burst Limit a couple of weeks ago, and got it knocked from $10 to $5 today. Manager didn't even blink, just swiped her card and handed me $5.25 in cash. I also found :360: Ninja Gaiden 2 and :360: Civilization Revolution, thanks for the tips on those.

Cambridge, MA Sears still has a 120 gig hard drive in the glass case. Didn't scan it so I don't know how cheap it is. I don't store a lot of movies/demos/save data on my HD so I don't need a big one, if anyone wants it go and look at it!

I'd definitely grab Folklore for $5, but I didn't see it behind the glass nor in the clearance bin last time I was there. Cool thing is TRU is right next door, so I hope I'll be able to find K&L.
 
Found a Civ Rev and Folklore, but Civ Rev was tagged $10 and Folklore was in the regular case. Was in a rush and this Sears generally is behind on clearance games, so didn't bother checking prices with them since they were both locked up. If I pass by though again, may go xD
 
Prices are still YMMV, at my local store some stuff dropped other stuff didn't
Folklore was $9.97
Viking 360 was $14.97
DBZ Burst Limit 360 was $9.97 (OOS but was on my UPC sheet)
Guitar Hero 3 Bundle PS2 was $14.97 (same as above)

Other stuff like Quake 360 was $4.97 though
 
Picked up Bourne and Crackdown for $4.97 a pop. My stores have been picked relatively clean which sucks since I usually get the first crack on clearance games.
 
Picked up two Bioshock (PS3) and Civilization Revolution (PS3) for $19.96, heck of a deal. I was a little bummed because I had my eyes on 3 Spiderman WoS (PS3) and they were gone since last night when the markdowns hadn't been done.
 
Bioshock for PS3 dropped? To what? It was still $14.97 when I checked last. Unfortunately, the lone copy that was at my one closer Sears got grabbed when they reorganized the PS3/360 cases.

Yet this same store still has a fuckin' 360 HD-DVD drive sitting in the case that STILL rings up $49.97 when you have it price checked.
