Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Add me to the list of people who got the PS3 Eye of Judgment Bundle for 19.97. Does anyone know where they sell the cards?

Also gonna check the 120 GB HDD. 50 is an awesome price
 
I bought the Eye of Judgment Bundle for $29.97 last week. Went in yesterday to get refunded the difference because it dropped to $19.97. Lets hope I go in next week for a refund on $9.97! BTW, this was downtown Sears in Chicago.

I got a deck of cards from TRU on clearance a couple of weeks ago. You can also get them on Amazon.
 
I just went out and bought an Xbox 360 120GB HD for $70 at one of the Austin stores; where should I be watching for a $50 price point so I can get the $20 difference refunded?

EDIT: They had to go search for one in the 'back', must be old stock because it has a $180 tag :)
 
Sears on Beverley Road in Brooklyn, NY has Eye of Judgement (PS3) for $20. There were 3 left. There were also a whole bunch of Xbox 360 Live Vision Cameras for $20.

I found a 360 Blue Dragon but it scanned at $19.99 so I was SOL.

Also found Eternal Sonata but it was $39.99 - what the heck?!! but I think it was a deluxe version as it had a carboard sleeve over it as well. (Correction, it was Enchanted Arms that was full price - I did not see Eternal Sonata. Also picked up Shadowrunner for $1.97)

Went to Sears few days ago and the Nyko PS3 charger was locked to the stand. @_@ sticker priced said 24.99. Thing is all the games are organized, next time when I go to the mall a list will be handy. ;] Location Saugus, MA

I have a question, do you need the cashier to price check or could you use the machines near by?

Much better haul than yesterday. Went to another Sears, no labels or signs that the games are on clearance, but I asked for a price check anyways.

You can use machines if you'd like. They'll show the clearance price as well as the MSRP.

Weren't people cheating and just printing out the cards for eye of judgement?
 
I also got the Eye of judgment pack for 19.97. I'm thinking pretty soon there'll be another price drop on those and then Ill go price adjust it and get like 10 bucks back. Blue Dragon also scanned at 19.99 for me, though I already have it so I wasnt bothered. May go back to scan Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Other than that, seems the Bay Area stores are pretty much cleaned out.
 
Picked up an Xbox 360 120gb HD for $50 in Danbury,CT The same two have been sitting behind the glass for 2 months now, @ $50 i decided to bite. I almost bought both, but thought I would be nice and leave one for someone else. When it rang up at the register another sears employee saw the price and then ran over to the case to grab the last one.
 
Wen to to my 'secret sears' and someone wiped out all 4 EOJs, 4 Bioshocks, and 6 Folklores, as well as basically everything under $9.97. I did get lucky and found a Crackdown that was not ringing up and was able to convince the manager that it should be .97. When she asked the electronics employee he said "I have seen them go as low as .47", so she went ahead and entered it!
 
I went to two separate Sears to try to get my copy of Civilization adjusted from $10 to $5. I was told at both places that they do not price adjust on clearance and they both refused to let me return/rebuy.

I read here that this is not actually their policy but does anyone know a good way to convince them of this?

I haven't had luck finding any Set 2 or Set 3 cards. I haven't purchased those expansions on PSN, so it's not a huge issue, but WTH, Sony? How can you offer these expansions without providing a means to purchase the cards for them?

You can use the price check machines. I was at the Saugus, MA Sears yesterday-- found the last :360: Iron Man for $4.97 and :360: BlackSite: Area 51 for the same price. There are a few more cheapies, including Crackdown, Viking (it's in the glass case, look carefully) and Turning Point for 360.

That Nyko charger should be $14.97. I believe it was even stickered as such yesterday. Happy hunting!

Set two theme decks are definitely available on Amazon from third party sellers. I wonder if their apparent rarity makes them valuable?

I think it's pretty much YMMV on that. Maybe try an "exchange"? I had luck recently, but I think it may have been because it was a younger female at the register. At first, she said "Oh, I think I have to call a manager over." I got real nervous that I was going to get denied, and suggested a return/rebuy. She ended up "exchanging" the games to give me the difference.

Just be firm about the 30-day return policy (stated on the receipt), and don't take no for an answer.:D
 
My sears is an epic fail. Just stopped by there and managed to grab crackdown, condemned 2 and stranglehold for 4.97 each. But cod2 was $30, Viking $40, and quake wars $60 (???). Had them check price and they all still rang up like that. Might try a different sears some other time, but I lucked out on this one.

ya know I found about 3 blue dragon at my sears yesterday.... haven't seen any in there in a couple months. checked the price cause I remember them on clearance a couple months ago at another sears. 19.99 :bomb:

haha yeah, i remember checking last month at the same sears, and it was also at the $19.99 price.
 
Off topic, but with all the Blue Dragon talk, I thought it should be known it's 9.99 with free shipping on Newegg all the time. Wouldn't pick it up unless you see it at 4.97.

Also, it contains possibly the most annoying character in video game history, you've been warned.

Went last night and saw a 120 gig HDD in the glass case. When I asked the price, the dick weed told me it was $189. When I asked if he could check he said it was the same price everywhere, $189. I again asked to check the price because I've seen it less somewhere else, he repeated it was $189. I again asked, he was pissed and huffed and puffed then went and got a key to open the case.

Sure enough, rang up at $50. He said "it must have just went on clearance." Anyways, xbox 120 gb HDD was $50.

Probably was saving it for himself and just telling you the price to discourage you from getting it.

You're probably right however I wouldn't be surprised if an employee knew the item was on clearance and left it in the case unmarked so they could purchase it at a much lower clearance price in a month or two.
 
Just picked up :ps3: Bioshock for $4.97. The price was labeled on both the shelf and the game, but the game's tag said $14.97 and the shelf said $4.97. I thought the shelf's tag might have been a misprint, but the price scanner confirmed the $5 price. I feel a little dirty for getting such a great game so cheap.
 
So the drops are in effect at a good portion of the Sears stores now it seems. I wonder if my 'third Sears' has them in effect as of yet.

Hmmmm....this is making me wanna take a road trip in a day or three as I'd love to get a couple spare Bioshocks for trade fodder.
 
I guess I'll look check my Sears tomorrow. I'm actually going there for orientation. But I doubt I'll work there long. I'm really not even planning on finishing the training. I just got really bad vibes from my supervisors-to-be. But I'll let them pay me while I sit at a computer for a little while until I find something else.

I'm hitting up my local Sears' tomorrow after work. I got $50 and I need a new HDD. I'll let you guys know what happens.

I'm sure this has been asked already, but I wasn't able to find it, so I apologize.

Anyhow, I went to Sear's the other day, my second time being in that particular store. I found a bunch of items on clearance that hadn't been before. I noticed on the tags that they said Aug. on them, so I thought at first that meant they had been marked down in August. However, I found another clearance item by one of the scanners that said Oct.

So now I'm not sure the date on the tag means. Does that mean that the item was marked down in that month, or is due to be marked down in that month.

The game stuff I hadn't seen, so I was assuming it just meant it had been marked down in August. When I seen the other thing, which was a little kids watch or something it made me question if that means it was due for a price drop in October, or had been dropped last October.

I know you guys are the experts, so I thought I should ask for future reference!
