Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

I usually don't engage in any kind of personal attacks, seeing as how they are immature and pointless like you said, but in my mind I'm equating hoarding video games from children to personal attacks as being on the same level-pointless and immature. It's eye for an eye if you ask me. Plus I never personally attacked anyone by name, did I? If I did, then I apologize, or if someone took it that way, I also apologize.

I did think the poster's claim of dumping a ton of games to BBV this morning was funny because of the context. I wasn't critiquing the fact it would be "silly" if someone flipped games on that level because I know it happens :)

Hey, I just want to make my point clear right here: I'm certainly against hoarding and hoarders as a group, but because it is not technically illegal, then there's nothing I can do. I don't have the moral fortitude to flip games for my personal gain, and trust me my moral fortitude is pretty low lol. It's just my opinion, so take it as it is I guess.

Actually what hoarders are doing is the same as a "pump and dump" in the stock market-buy lots of shares at a small price, then dump the shares for more than they are worth. It is illegal in the eyes of FEC and has numerous fines and penalties including jail time. Plus it's immoral :)
 
Found the last copy of FF:ROTSS at my TRU and it was like finding a $25 blockbuster card. Yes, I flipped that bitch right away because it looks like a terrible game.

I did keep Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

If you are calling stores to verify inventory anyway, why not go the extra step and ask them to hold it for you. I don't think many people consider this a dickhead move. Honestly in a world where gas prices increase and free time decreases, it only makes sense to call ahead when one can. As someone that calls and has games put on hold when they can, I can say my reasoning isn't to fuck over someone else. I'm simply doing it to save time and money. Most of the time I have no idea how many the store has as I don't ask how many copies they have, I just ask them to hold the 1 or occassionally 2 copies that I need.

Let me refine my rant just a tad. Calling 1 store to have them hold their 1 copy is acceptable. Calling all stores in an area and having all the copies held is not, or calling 1 store and having their 5+ copies held is also not cool. I make an effort whenever I find multiple copies of a game in a store to always leave copies behind. I may go back later in the week and rebuy the remainders, but I make an effort to share, knowing that most of the items will be picked up by other board members within 48 hours of a post, as only we know the true value of certain items.
 
So I typically buy maybe 8 games a year tops. In the last two weeks (thanks mainly to this thread) I've purchased a total of 7 games for $63.95 before tax. Some rough math makes that $9.14 per game and some of these games are ones that I wanted to buy at $60 but never got around to it.

Thanks guys. That's pretty cool, though I still couldn't get Overlord or Eternal Sonata which are two of the games on the list that I wanted most.

Yea Eternal Sonata and Overlord are REALLY difficult to find. I got ES when it was brand new so I wasn't looking for it for myself, but for other CAGs, and Overlord has been on my most wanted list for a while now.

Hadn't been to my TRU is awhile, so I thought I would take a look. Picked up:

Magical Starsign (DS)
Children of Mana (DS)
College Hoops 2k7 (X360)
Virtua Tennis 3 (X360)
Ratatouille (X360)
Tiger Woods 07 (X360)

A couple of games for myself and some for my sister. Not too bad to get some achievement points and with Gamestop's trade-in promotion extended I can get the majority of my money back. Some other games I found were a bunch of the MLB 2K series games, Earth Defense Force, some Disney games and a handful of Tamagotchi Wii games. Nothing too exciting.

Thats the problem with quoting another post, even though a reply may be meant in general, the quotee can seem to be singled out as the main culprit. Sometimes that is appropriate and sometimes not.

As long as it doesn't degrade to a comments such as "I hate you", or "You're mother is a !!!", or "You're a hypocrite" (This was added as I was rightly reprimanded for calling someone this in a different thread)

I'm not sure I would agree that 1 person disagreeing with another's behaviour is against the T&C.

Yeah, I know the point of this thread is clearance at TRU, but if you're looking for Overlord your local Micro Center probably has it new for $19.99 or used (usually excellent condition) for $15.99. I have no clue to the current retail price of the game... just passing on friendly information.

I picked up a used copy (didn't look used :)) during the $10 off coupon craze.
 
MY stores are basically cleaned out of clearance games (two in MI). Interesting that some other store got MORE F4 in though....hmmm, should I check again.

Ah how funny it is that I was ranting and raving about hoarders...sigh...I just went to my store to buy one of the two copies of FEAR that my store had left. I go to the glass cabinet and low and behold, they're both gone, as well the last 5-6 copies of Farcry, 3 copies of Prey, and the last copy of Stranglehold. So I wander over to the Wii cabinet to see if the last 3 FF:ROTSS's are gone as well...yep, just as I thought.

My TRU is ringing them up at $5 each ($4.xx with the 20% off), and I'm finding some killer titles. Am I the only one? My TRU is pretty much picked clean. I made out pretty well though, so no complaints. Kind of wishing I'd hopped on some games like Far Cry, FEAR, Stranglehold, etc. while I could. All in all I probably bought close to 20 games for various platforms.

To those still picking at the bone...best of luck and I hope you find what you want!

Be careful here because the 07 sports game I bought didn't trade in for more than $1, so it wasn't eligible for gamestops trade-in promo

Yeah, I had thought about that. I'm probably gonna keep Hoops for awhile anyways but I checked Io's guide in the Gamestop thread to make sure there was value in the trades if I was to get the bonus promo and luckily a couple of the games I picked up do and make up for the purchase. With my luck though, the trade in values with sink right before I go to trade them in.

I had been looking for a copy of Dead Rising for the longest time, and finally found one at a TRU that's a bit further away from me than the one I regularly go to.

Now I can go make fun of my friend who bought the platinum hits version for 30 bucks a couple of weeks ago. Thanks OP!

Alright, Sp00ge and Shrike already cleaned out some of the clutter from this thread but they were too nice about it. I cleaned out another 20-30 posts - anything to do with flipping discussion (on either side). It is immaterial to this TRU clearance - please keep the posts on topic about what games have been found and at what locations, etc.
 
Didn't see it mentioned on the first page or the last couple of pages but I just bought Picross for $7.98. It was labeled as $19.99 but when I scanned it, it showed up at the $7 price range. Also, Phoenix Wright: Trials And Tribulations was labeled at $29.99 but after a scan it rung up at $19.99.
 
Picross was seen by myself at TRU for clearance price... anyone who does not buy it has to have a few screws loose... GREAT GAME
 
I picked up GTA: Vice City for 8 bucks and a new PSP battery for 13 bucks, all and all a very good outing for myself. This was at the Omaha TRU, they still had a dozen GTA left and one battery remaining.

oh, and they had factory sealed copies of Super Princess Peach. I had a really hard time finding that anywhere else.

Is it OOP? Why is it so hard to find? :( I just traded my copy for a sealed Typing of the Dead(DC).
