Edit by Io - The most recent (1/26) drops are in the very beginning of the second post, so look there first!

------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT -- Feb 4th
Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

Don't forget to post your trade wishes and wants in the Official TRU Trading Thread: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121672

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

Picked up Gurumin for 9.99 at best buy last week. Every psp game I own is real difficult and just wanted something to relax and play. Its worth ten bucks and I've put maybe 10 hours into it without getting bored.
it always amazes me to see people post things like "I tried to have them check the price of XYZ and they wouldn't".

I would raise all hell if anyone tried to do that to me. I would do it nicely, but I certainly wouldn't leave that store until they price checked it for me.

And before leaving I would be sure to have a nice talk with the manager letting them know how their staff is preventing the sale of their merchandise.
:applause:

I struck out at the Albany, NY TRU -- they had a couple copies of Zack & Wiki, but not much else. The Clifton Park store had 2 copies of Contra, so I grabbed the ticket and got the hell out; left one behind in case anyone wants it.

Your store still has tickets? No way! I remember those days....ahhh good times, good times :)

Has anybody else had luck with RE4? One of my stores didn't even have a whiff of it, but another store had a tag in the glass case for $34.99 and no copies to be found. Sigh...

One of my TRU's still have tickets. Oddly enough they have more CAG offerings available then my TRU that doesn't. Really since I've started CAG'n again in June I haven't had much luck at TRU my only good fine was FF7:DoC. I check once a week....
I went today to get a price check on the Planet Puzzle League DS I saw the other day. It was gone. I asked the employee if he could check the price for me but he told me he could not check the price if the game is not in stock. I cannot confirm it but I suspect Planet Puzzle League dropped I really wanted that game.:(

I picked up Zack and Wiki $7.98. I spotted Picross DS price marked $9.98.
I picked a copy of PPL the other day at my TRU. It was part of the promo ($7.98 to be exact) and there were two copies left. Let me know if you want one and I'll swing by and check to see if they still have some.

I stopped by the TRU here and they had a table full of Wii games on clearance, but most were the crappy ones like Dave Mirra, Tomagotchi, Golden Compass, etc. They did have a stack of Zack and Wiki so I grabbed one and dug through the rest looking for RE4. There weren't any to be found, so I went to the counter to check in the glass case.

You'd think that these places would figure out that games are much easier to find if you put them in alphabetical order. Well, not this TRU. I scanned the case forever until I spotted the familiar "4" in the very bottom corner (I guess R is now the last letter of the alphabet). I got the clerk over and he grabbed Umbrella Chronicles and said it wasn't on clearance. After telling him which one I really wanted (and showing him where it was in HIS case) he was very shocked to see it ring up $9.98. They had a bunch sitting there without the orange clearance stickers on them.

I was glad to walk out with Zack and Wiki and RE4 for $16 and change.

Another note about their "organizing" of games. The Wii section is complete chaos. The first section is called something like hot titles or something and they are in complete random order. The next 2 sections are the rest of the games and start alphabetically, but they soon go out of order and searching them is a complete headache. It looks like someone went in and moved the games around, but the dividers with the prices on them are there as well. It took me forever to find Williams Pinball, which was logically placed in the "G" section. Way to go!

I managed to pick up Splinter Cell DA for the PS3 for a friend for $5 and also a copy of Contra 4 DS for me. There were quite a few Contra 4's left, so if anyone is in Frisco, TX you should hit that one up.

Lighten up, Francis! They keep the M-rated titles separate from the others. At least that's the policy at my TRU and I suspect it's company-wide.

A nearby TRU still had Jeanne D'arc and Parappa, so I grabbed those. While I was at it, I picked up Final Fantasy Tactics and Patapon since they're having that B1G1halfoff sale and FFT dropped in price. With the sale + 20% off clearance, it came out to a little more than $45 to double my PSP collection, and I also got use some leftover credit from the Mario Galaxy gift card. Sweet. Didn't really check out the other platforms as I completely forgot about the 20% off sale. I'll have to take a look again next time I'm back there; that TRU was nicer than the other ones near me.

This is the case at many TRUs. When you go to a TRU bring your eyes and some patientce. You have to scan the floor, not only the game area but beyond in some TRUs. Also scan the case behind the counter, scan it two and three times with your eyes. Even if you ask "hey i'm looking for -insert title-" Do the eye work yourself.

On many visits to TRU lately I have found things that have been said to be "out of stock". Just take your time with the list you come with.

You may go 0 for 12, or do ok and pick up your first or second most wanted title and more from the clearance. If you have kids/nephews/friends/ fellow CAGs think of them too :)

Happy hunting :)

I've been wondering what case this is - my store is an older one with tickets; does it have this case? The best I can think of is the room they keep the high price games in, near the exit. Sorta hard to look in there though. I might go by there and ask about some games tomorrow, but I doubt they're back there.

wow still tickets?

Ok yes you might need to look if you can at what they have behind the pick-up desk. Or go when they are not busy and find an employee to look for what you need back there

hey jbroush99... where in western, WI are you? I stopped at the TRU in Madison, WI and they didnt have crap.. looking for a copy of Zack and Wiki.. just wondering how far west you are and if its worth the drive.. thanks in advance!

I got the second to last copy of Beautiful Katamari which was still marked as 39.99, and DDR Universe for 17.28. I'm debating taking back DDR, since I can't find a compatible mat that doesn't cost less than $40.

At my TRU they had a bunch of cases of Disgaea for the PSP behind the case but when I asked them to check the price the lady found that they were all display cases :bomb: They also had a bunch of other older psp that I usually only see used at Gamestops but I figured they were all display cases as well so I didn't bother asking her to check them. Why don't they just toss out those cases?

They just put a bunch out so they can put the real game behind the case. I guess when they sell out of the game, they probably dont realize it and just throw back the display case up on the shelf.

This was at the Onalaska store. They had 5-6 copies of Zack and Wiki left.

I realize that they separate the M-rated titles, but they aren't in alphabetical order. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had to tell the clerk where the game was in their case.

cool,. little for far w/ gas prices for it but thanks again

Shoot, what's from the latest round of drops this week? I just noticed that the OP was changed to indicate new drops, but there's nothing in the second post for 7/23.

Was able to pick up Zak & Wiki (still had a good 8 left), as well as the Mario Kart I've been looking for at TRU in Valley Stream, NY.
Ok everybody, Just giving everyone a heads up, no clearance drops for next week at my store.
I may cry :'(

Been striking out so hard at TRU....thanks for letting everybody know ahead of time

I price checked these 360 games: Top Spin 2,Virtua Tennis 3 and Blue Dragon and its all 7.98 with 20%. Picked up Virtual tennis 3.

I just came back from my local TRU.

They had mislabeled RE:UC as RE4 for the Wii. I took all the copies I could find to the cashier and had him manually change each price to the sale price of RE4.

Thanks CAG!
Oh, and just to mention, it was at the TRU on Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD.
Which doesn't matter as they're OOS at that location now, right?

Please respond to my PM if you're not going to horde them all for yourself.

EDIT: Nevermind.

Sad.

Guess I'll see if there are any mislabeled copies at my locals before another FW/SDer...I mean CAG gets them.

DAMN, RE UC was ok. It wasn't the best, but you learn a little more about Wesker.

I have a feeling this person is a pathological liar.
They also stated in the Amazon SC4/Madden 09 pricing debacle thread that they placed an order days after the OP, still got the deal AND got a $50 Amazon GC "for their trouble". I said it in that thread and I'll say it in this one; post a picture/screenshot of the receipt or it didn't happen.

Richmonders:
The Quioccassin Rd. TRU is picked dry of clearance :360: and :ps3: games. Open Season for :360: is available and that's it. Elite Beat Agents :ds: is still available there.

Pics pls or GTFO.

Wow. Don't get your panties all in a bunch just because you're not lucky enough to find incompetent employees.

I'm sorry I have friends and family that would like this game so I can't sell any to you? And also, you're in Oklahoma so it shouldn't matter whether I went and got all the copies of this game or not because you yourself wouldn't have been able to get a copy from my store anyways.

Chill out man. Chill out.

Why post the deal at all? You know people are gonna argue. Most people here don't like greedy people. It would have been great if you posted because you offering them to other CAG's.

So today I picked up:

Planet Puzzle League(DS): $7.98
Master Of Illusion (DS): $7.98
Elite Beat Agents (DS): $7.98
Beautiful Katamari (360)$7.98
Zak & Wiki (Wii): $7.98

Total came out to $43.19 with tax.

I don't have a Wii yet but couldn't pass up on picking Zak & Wiki for such a low price.
Ok everybody, Just giving everyone a heads up, no clearance drops for next week at my store.
that sucks
thanks for the update

Done responding, probably shouldn't have fell into that trap anyhow. Perma-ignored. Not that you'd care. ;)

I keep forgetting about Puzzle Planet...I'll have to look for that one.

Chill out.
just scan the receipts and be done with it.

Alright eugaet I messaged you asking whether you'd like my last copy of RE:UC, but I guess you don't want it.

For anyone else, I've got an extra copy of RE:UC.

Just got back from an outing. I first hit Brandsmart since one of my customers told me last night that they were selling Wii Points cars (2000) for $5. I was so astounded to actually find some left, I picked up all six that were left as well as an Action Replay for DS also marked at the same price (they were all $4.88). After that I went to TRU with a small list and only managed Magical Starsign, Geometry Wars, and Innocent Life Harvest Moon.

I was REALLY itching to find Eternal Sonata or Overlord, even Donkey Konga but none of those were available.

And there were about 4 Twiliight Princesses for GCN at $9.98 I think, but I already have the Wii version.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to the OP and everyone that contributed ^_^
Are people still finding Virtua Tennis 3 (360) and Blue Dragon?
I just got back from TRU, there were at least 3-4 copies of Virtua Tennis 360 on the shelf. I'll check the TRU clearance trade thread to see if anyone is looking for copies.
