Oklahoma

For the Norman folks:

Does anyone know if the Hollywood Video on 12th/Alameda is going out of business? I checked about a month ago and it seemed to be doing business as normal. I should really check more often I guess, as there is a treasure trove of deals waiting to be preyed upon if it ever does go out.

I haven't heard whether it is or not, since I rarely rent movies, I haven't been paying much attention to it. Actually, I haven't rented anything from HV in about 6 years. They used to send me coupons for rent up to 3 games for $0.99 each. When they quit giving me coupons, I quit renting from them.

These are the Hollywood Videos/Movie Galleries in Oklahoma that are supposed to be closed by April 29th unless they somehow become profitable.

The Hollywood at 81st/Harvard in Tulsa is already closed, as discussed earlier in this thread. I haven't been able to get any news about the Movie Gallery in Bixby.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, went by the 21st/Sheridan Big Lots yesterday and it's pretty much been wiped clean of anything good (and a lot of the bad). One copy of Psychonauts...that's was the only thing out there I saw that would be worth a trip.

Also recently went by both TRUs in Tulsa. Wastelands, both of them. Not much to see, unless you want to pick up a copy of Tony Hawk Downhill Jam for the DS. Think it was the 21st/145th location that had about 4 of them a few days ago.

21st Target

360 Project 8 Tony Hawk GH - 4.98
PS3 Orange Box - 29.98
PS3 NCAA 08 - 19.98
PS3 NBA/NHL 08 - 29.98
PS2 Singstar (two other rhythm games) - 19.98
PSP MLB 07: The Show - 7.98
PS3 Psyclone component cables - 9.98
Compressed air cans @ 6.98

If anybody finds Lair or the Simpson's game on the ps3 at the cheaper 19.98 and below price, please let me know.

I didn't pay any attention to Lair, but the Norman Target doesn't even have The Simpson's on PS3 on clearance yet. I checked the self-scanners, and it was still $49.99. There were lots of things marked with the clearance tags...I was impressed.

I'd also be interested in The Simpson's on PS3 or 360 if it's $20 or less.

In the corner, only one copy and it was greatest hits version.
The 71st Target marked down all their clearance games, but they were all in the 29.98 range (sports games, lair and orange box ps3). They managed to move their one copy of blue dragon at 41.98 it appears.

I don't know about you guys, but these best buys in tulsa are getting very bad. The 71st one had a table for clearance games, but now they are gone and haven't put games on clearance in forever. More importantly, they moved DOAX2 on the 360 from the 4.98 clearance back to the MSRP of 39.99. I don't know if the media managers have just taken the stance of no clearances on anything, or what... but it's kinda sad. It seems like they've refused to put out clearance stuff >.

Hollywood Video on Peoria and 26th-ish is closing. Everything is placed at 40%. They had Tales of Symphonia (8), Ephemeral Phantasia (12) and Smash Brothers Melee (12). Not many other good games, but they will close by the 27th. Tulsa, that is.

Simpsons and MoH on the ps3 marked down to 29.98 at the 21st target. Hopefully they will go down next week, been looking forward to starting the simpsons game. I did see the PoTC 512mb-internal media player marked from 99.99 to 29.98 at the 71st, one left. The 71st also had 3 copies of Sea Monsters on the Wii.

No 250gb external hds, zunes, Lair ps3, 2-pack portable dvd players or xbox 360 wireless adapters at either 21st or 71st on clearance. At least I got my grocery shopping done -_-''

hey guys. Just joined live in shawnee, work in the city. This thread is freakishly old lol. Do you guys post here once a month or something

It's Oklahoma. What do you expect?:) I don't think there's a whole lot of people on CAG from Oklahoma.

It's got more posts than the rest of the Southwest threads. That's got to count for something. Right? No? Oh well...:booty:

This store still open tomorrow? Any reports on it? I'd be willing to swing by and check it out.

Stopped by the new Big Lots at 91st/Mem in Tulsa last night. It's a lot nicer than the other BLs, felt a lot cleaner. :)

Saw:
1x Pychonauts $4/6
1x DEFCON $6
1x Blue Thunder SE DVD $3
5x 1GB Kingston DataTraveler USB Thumbdrive $8

Stopped by the BA 91st/Elm BL.

They have:
6x City of Heroes Collectors $10
3x City of Heroes/Villains Double Pack $10
1x City of Villains Collectors $10
Nice finds, eugaet.
Oh, I should probably have mentioned that I didn't buy them, I was just letting everyone else know they were there. I don't partake in MMOs w/ monthly fees...I have enough monthly bills, thank you very much.

Stopped by the Tulsa 101st/Mem BB/GR to pick up Wii Fit. There was one left as of noon.

The Gamestop at 71st & Aspen by Wal-Mart still has used dvds Buy 2 Get 3 Free. I saw some I wanted, but some were still a little pricey for me.

Also, Gamecrazy at 101st & Elm had a stand outside today for used games 3 for 10. Not sure if it was a memorial day sale or just putting their stuff outside. Since all I have is a gamecube, i skimmed over but it might be worth check out.

Wal-Mart on 6th Street (HWY 51) in Stillwater seems to have quite a few games on clearance in the middle of aisle between clothes and electronics. Sorry, I didn't stop to look what was available.

About to check the Norman (12th) Gamestop for the June 2nd Sale. I'll report back if I find anything noteworthy still there.

Edit: They seemed to have just about every game from the sale lists. I picked up Brave Story PSP.

Does anyone know how much credit vintage stock gives for games and cds, mainly cds? I'm looking to sell some cds and I'm curious what's the best way to go. Obviously with cds gamestop and the likes are out, so that takes me down to vintage stock, ebay and amazon. I've only been to the vintage stock on 71st and Aspen like once though so I was wanting to know other people's input.

I would also suggest Hastings, but looks like Muskogee might be the closest one from Tulsa. Might be worth a call. Might not be worth the gas...

Was going to suggest Hastings as well. They usually always run deals on CD Trades as well.

Hrm. Thanks guys. I go to OU and since there is a Hastings down there, I guess I'll wait until September and see what they'll offer. They're most likely not going to lose value in three months. And if it's just a buck apiece, I might just keep them.

Does anybody know how many MGS4 bundles the Walmarts in Tulsa will be getting and if they will be selling them at midnight?

Anyone able to help an Okie CAG out?

I'm looking for both Nintendogs Labrador and Dachshund, or alternately another Chihuahua, all new/sealed. These are clearanced at KMart for $5. I've already checked the Tulsa KMarts (51st/Harvard and 21st/HW169), the Sand Springs location, and...the one in Clinton (it was on the way back from vacation).

I'm interested in buying or possibly working out a trade.

Big Lots @ 91st/Mem in Tulsa has a carpload of DVDs...I calculated upwards of 500.

Ones I recall (multiple copies of all, $3-4 each):
Steamboy (Director's Cut)
Blue Thunder SE
The Mind of a Married Man: Season 1
Starship Troopers 2 SE
The Squid and the Whale SE
Superbit titles:
- Johnny Mnemonic
- ...

...and...I have a bad memory. Dammit. There were about 2-3 other Superbit titles, plus a lot more Special Editions.

Also...please read my prior post! I really want another copy of Nintendogs!

Target @ 21st/Yale:

Donkey Kong Barrel Blast Wii $25
MX vs ATV Untamed PS3 $30
Dancing w/ the Stars Wii $15
Parappa the Rapper PSP $15
Various strat guides for $5 (Perfect Dark Zero, Jade Empire...)

Sears @ 21st/Yale:

Virtua Tennis 3 PS3 $5 (clearance bin)
Various PS3 2007 sports games $5 (clearance bin)
Burnout Revenge 360 $7 (locked case)
Tetris Evolution 360 $14 (locked case)

Still looking for extra copies of Nintendogs Lab and/or Dachshund (see post above).

Dang, I was at that sears yesterday. I should have picked up a copy of Virtua Tennis. While I was there I picked up a PS3/PS2 Memory Card adapter for $4.99 (normally $18.99). I picked up one but I'm pretty sure they had a couple left.

Sorry, can't help you with Nintendodogs.
Anyone have any luck finding Heavenly Sword for $15 at the Tulsa targets?
Not yet. The lowest I saw last week was $30...2 copies at the 71st/HW75 Target. I haven't seen any at either the 21st/Yale or 71st/HW169 locations...although I'm not exactly looking for it, so if it was still locked in the case, I would've missed it. Maybe the HW75 location'll finally bump it down this week?
are there still any $5 x360 games at Sears?
Haven't been in a few weeks, but there were at the time. You might want to check both KMarts. The 360 games that are tagged clearance there'll ring up cheaper than marked in most cases. Some will ring up 'price req'. The 'price req' ones they may refuse to sell to you, will sell to you for the tagged price, will sell to you for 10% of the original price, or for $1 each. Depends on the cashier/manager you're dealing with. My experience at the 51st/Harvard location is either 10% off the original or $1.

The 71st/HW169 and I44 Best Buys have a lot of Nyko Perfect Shots (Wiimote accessory) in stock. The I44 Best Buy also had about 10 Wiis on the floor near the car audio department. This was around 3:30 this afternoon.

Anybody in Tulsa found a copy of Eye of Judgment at walmart? I'd really like to pick one up for $29.99. I checked the walmart on 81stish and Lewis, but there were no copies left.

Edit: If anyone cares I found a copy at the 111th and Memorial walmart. There are about 3 or 4 copies left.

Sockey, you might try calling up the Cimmaron or Owasso gamestop and see if they have any used copies. They were only 26.99 or 29.99 there (and you can get 20% off with a card/coupon). That is how I got mine, and it was complete. Our wal-marts don't really prioritize game price drops like some others.

The Circuit City on 41st had some too. Although not as cheap as the $10 shipped buy.com deal.

hey sockey the walmart on elm way down elm in broken arrow has like 10 copies of eoj and the walmart in coweta off highway 51 has a few. : )

FYI the Blockbuster on 31st and Harvard is having a small game clearence. Nothing huge but a few $5 and $10 360 and PS3 games. Few old sports games and even Flatout for the 360.

Hey guys, I'm in OKC, and I just joined this forum. Are there any immediate deals I should look out for? I just got a Dark Sector strategy guide for 1 cent at Best Buy, and so far, that's my first CAG deal!

Best Buy off 44 and 41st in Tulsa had some half off games. Few decent ones, NHL 2k8, NCAA College B-Ball 2k8, few 360 game few PS3, PSP, DS. Also saw GTA 4 Special Edition for $70.

Yeah, the Best Buy on 71st had a nice big table with clearance games. Nothing too great. Lots of sports games and a ton on Ninja Gaiden wall scrolls (99 cents; regularly $14.99). I did pick of Stranglehold (Xbox 360) for $14.99.

Anybody in Tulsa been to the CCs lately and happen to see a copy of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn in the 16.96 bin? :bouncy::bouncy:

EDIT: Found a copy here. Store in N. Texas had FFXII and a few other copies of FE.
