Are there updates on the weekends?
Read post #6.

Dafoomie, I think it would be great if you put the FAQ at the beginning of the first post of this thread.
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/204951.asp

someone on here was looking for this a while ago... maybe not this thread but elsewhere.. but this is a great game for bomberman fans... its about 6 bucks AC..
I have the red and blue bomberman max 2 games for the gba (as well as other snes, n64, and gc bomberman titles for multiplayer goodness). Would there ever be a point to have this one in addition to those two? Does "tournament" mean anything different in gameplay, or is it just a random title?
Yes, I bought one on....May 11. (Damn I'm good -- how many orders I've placed and I found it on the first guess!) Haven't seen anyone mention it in stock since then. Do note it's listed as "Puzzle Fighters 2" for some reason, so craft your search carefully.

It's 19.99 b/c. My copy arrived disc only but in fine condition.

Here's a link:

thanks, been wanting this one for a while

There is only one Bomberman for multiplayer. Sega Saturn Bomberman. Widescreen 10 person madness.
well, I just ordered mine this week, but from my research, it's definitely the best of the series on the handhelds, and possibly overall as well. (Per gamespot, it's sort of a remake of the ps1 game, with a number of really good improvements.) On this thread recently, someone gave the GBA harvest moon a ringing endorsement over the GBC games, which got me interested. Can't find the post now though.
Maybe it was me. ;) My post earlier:
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/183627.asp

I don't think I've ever seen that in stock. I'd get it, if the GBA version didn't kick ass all over the other portable versions.
The GBA version is probably the best version in the series, and I was pretty surprised, cause I had loved Harvest Moon 64 for years. The game is basically the same layout as the PSX version, just without the loading times.

You can even order stuff from your house, through a "shop-at-home" type setup. It's real interesting. :D

it was a launch title for the GBA if i remember right (or a very early title).. but the cool thing about it is you can link 4 GBAs for multiplayer with one cart it has a story mode i don't know about blue and red max. .i haven't played them.. and if you don't have a console version (like DC, Saturn, SNES) then i like this for multiplay as you only need one cart and it has the classic gameplay.. i think its a great price for 6 bucks.
i cant belevie what just happened. I just got grandia extreme, and it turns out some guy carefully ripped off the sticker on grandia extreme and stuck it on a spider man 2 dvd. So now i paid this money for a freaking spider man 2 dvd bonus feature. I cant belevie that eb does not test its games before it sends them out. I for one will not be buying from eb games since it seems that they dont even test there games to see if they work. This is very disheartening to come from a big game chain. Tommrow customer service is getting a piece of my mouth.
You may not believe this, but there was an entire batch of Grandia Xtreme discs that came NEW from the factory with the SpiderMan 2 bonus disc. My local EB had their ENTIRE SHIPMENT of Grandia Xtreme show up on release day like this. They just sent them back for replacments. I'm surprised to see that there are still some of these floating around. I would have thought anyone in their right mind would have exchanged this for the proper product.
Thanks for the updates guys, really appreciate it, and like it! Now, here's maybe my chance to help you guys out (I'm never up early enough to check things in stock.)

In Lincoln is a store called Gamers, where they have for free old instruction manuals. I'd be willing to look and see if they had some for specific games and send them out for a very small fee (or even free depending on how cheap it is, I'd need to check). If anyone is interested, I guess just pm me or respond in the thread. I did grab a few to begin with, just in case:

-Illusion of Gaia instruction booklet and map (both beat up, but if you have cart only :) )
-Strider 2 (pretty good)
-Grandia (beat up a bit)
-Resident Evil 2 (N64, good)
-Super Punch Out (bent a bit)
and my peronal fave:
-Night Trap (Sega CD, ok)

I hope I can give back at least a bit to this community. Thanks, bone.
I'd be interested in Gaia and Grandia at least. Your account won't let me PM you, so PM me with your email & asking price, and we'll go from there. I'm somewhat interested in Super Punch Out and Strider 2 as well, so let me know.

I also have a store that sells used manuals (I was just in there today, but didn't see anything of note). They don't have anything from current systems, but they have a bunch of 8- and 16-bit games, as well as some Gameboy and N64 (although, admittedly, I am the cause of the major depletion of N64 manuals). Unfortunately, the folks that own the place (a nice old couple in their 60's or 70's) are hardcore RPG-ers, so they NEVER have any RPG manuals, but they have other assorted goodies.

If anyone is still interested, here's an updated list of some manuals I have to send out, I can also take a gander and try to find specific ones:

N64:
-Pokemon Snap
-Superman 64
-Armorines
-Bomberman 64
-Resident Evil 2

SNES:
-Killer Instinct
-Judge Dredd

Others:
-Night Trap (Sega CD)
-Donkey Kong Country (GBCx2)
-Iridion 3D (GBA)

PM me if interested. bone

Question guys, I have a Playstation game (Bushido Blade) that has a 1 cm crack on the outside of the disc, but my PS2 plays it just fine. Is there anything I should do to keep it from cracking more, like a piece of tape on the lable side or anything? Thanks for any help. bone

I wish EBgames.com kept things up even when they're out of stock like Gamestop so I can do the in store check thing.... I ordered C:SOTN used, it's pretty scratched up and only loads as an audio cd. :( So I guess I'll do the rounds at the local eb's hopeing they have it, but if they don't what do I do to send it back for another copy? Just send it back with that supplied send back sticker thing? And they'll cover shipping costs right? And what happens if they don't have another used copy of SOTN in stock? Am I better just returning it to a B&M EB than taking my chances by ordering it again when it comes back in stock?

Thanks

Just out of curiousity .. what is C:SOTN?

Sorry, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PSX.

If you have blockbusters near you, I would check out their for C:SotN if you are ok with the greatest hits version. I have seen numerous copies around the Chicagoland area at blockbusters for $6.99, which is apparently now what all new PS1 games are there.

I'll second that one took that deal in the camden nj area

Sweet, that's better than what I paid used on EB :p. I'll stop by there first. If they have it then I'll just return the defective one to EB. You can return it for a refund at B&M EB's right? Instead of an exchange? I still have the package slip that came with it and everything.

may seem like a dumb question, but im kinda new to this... uh, how exactly can I tell if the update has gone up or not... please don't hate me...

just got to a game system and watch the number like psx has 668 games in stock once the number starts to move you know the update is going on.. im giving it to 740am then im going back to bed Ebgames updates been sucking anyways late update means bad

The best way to tell if the update has happened in my opinion is just to continously refresh a page. For example the SNES games, right now theres 199 of them, when it updates it will get rid of all of them and add them back and you will know if theres an update if theres more than 199 of them. Then I usually just check all the other systems games that im interested in.

dafoomie--I'm going to send someone to bump you off in the night for not answering this question in the first post..............

;)

To answer your question: you pull up a list of used games (say PS1 RPGs), it'll say 22 in stock. Keep refreshing the page, eventually the number will go down, and then back up; when it goes up, that means the update has happened :)

735 and still no update what is going on with Ebgames some1 needs to smack them and get them back in shape to 7am updates

741 and still no update Son of a Freaking #$#$ i been here since 655 and now i got to leaven for 25 mins STupid Eb

fuck YES! I FINALLY GOT CHRONO TRIGGER!

However, Saver wouldn't work with CAG15. But I just went ahead and paid the 2 bucks, because I was so scared it would get pulled. I have no regrets.

how much did you pay

Ugh, I already have MArio RPG (though it's not in super good condition), and the "X" Collection is coming out soon. Nothing for me today, which sucks because I'm RARELY up this early.
