Snagged the last one. Been waiting for this one for a while now, and i'm glad I got home from school early enough to pick it up.

Now if I can just get a copy of Gunstar Heroes i'll be happy.

Edit: Oh hell, looking back a few pages I see that Gunstar WAS in fact up today. Maybe next time I guess.
Same here. GH was one of my fav treasure games. I'd kill to have it bakc, or at least maim :)
So here's a question. I'm going to naively assume that you're all getting these games to play them or collect them, and not to sell or trade them.

What precentage of games come in a condition that you're happy with, and what percentage do you dispose of (take back to EB B&M etc)?

I usually just watch the morning update, and not order anything. I'm curious to see if it's worth it, or if you just get a bunch of scratched up disk only games.
I would deem less than 5% of the games I have received from EB damaged enough to be return-worthy. Add another 5% on top of that for incomplete items (when buying used). So 10% or so.
Damn you people, yiou got me to break my solomn vow not to buy any more VGs till next month. Oh well $10 for 5 excellent (okay 3 excellent and 2 mediocre but extremly cheap) Genny games.

BTW I'd like to point out:
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/118557.asp

An excellent platformer, one f the best if not for the lack of a save or password feature.
Man, how much does Dynamite Headdy look like Jynx from Mario RPG?
The discs of stuff that i've gotten have almost always came in really good shape. I usualy only order things that say it will be complete, on the times that i've gotten stuff that say "may include.." its been about a 50/50 chance. The only bad thing i've ever gotten from eb out of the dozens items ordered is pokemon pinball which is sticky and dosnt have a battery case, since I only payed like 1$ for it though I don't really care. The one thing you can expect however is an ass load of stickers on everything.
You just want to draw dancing private parts. Admit it.

I got my $1.50 Gekido today, sadly its disc but I can live with it like that. I don't think its worth exchanging B&M or anything. 0n a positive note, this game is everything I expected. Just good ol' arcade beat'em up action. The soundtrack is great, but I think its what adds to the games load time. I only played a level or 2 but its really fun. Apparently the first level takes place in an exploding barrel factory cause thats the only reason I figure theres so many.

Quick questions, does a PS1 multitap also work with PS2 games? I want to get the cheapo PS1 multitap for this and I'm curious.

No. From what I've seen, a PS1 multitap only works with PS1 games (either on a PSX or a PS2). For PS2 games, you need a PS2 multitap.

Personally, I buy the games to add to my collection, with the hope that some day I'll eventually have the time to play them. I never buy games strictly with the intention of trading them in somewhere for more than I paid. I never buy any game that I don't actually want, I never buy multiples, and I never buy to sell on ebay. If there's only one or two of a hard-to-find item in stock, and I don't really want it, I leave it for some other lucky collector. As much as the morning update is an every-man-for-himself mad dash, there's no reason not to be civil.

As far as the condition of games, I never buy an "instructions may not be included" game unless I absolutely don't care if I get anything but the disc. So far, my luck has been about 50/50 on this. There are plenty of PS1 RPG's that I have passed up for this reason alone, so I rely on B&M stores and private sellers for older titles that I must have the box/art/instructions.

My failure rate on games (getting non-working titles) is about 3-5%. I've had some bad luck lately getting non-working items, but my local EB is very good about taking them back, and they have always had a replacement in stock (my local EB is one of the largest volume used game dealers in the country).

I look forward to the EB morning update every day. I'm fortunate to leave in the Eastern time zone, so I only have to get up a half hour earlier than normal to get the updates. I've gotten alot, and missed alot, and had a few things snagged from my cart, but I enjoy coming here every morning, whether I walk away with a purchase or not.

I got a non working MGS 1 without the case from ebgames.com, brought it back to eb and got the original discs in mint condition with a new box, lucky me.

I never get the original boxes from the online store, but lately the games have worked at least

I'm the same way - I get to the office shortly before 7AM anyway, so it's easy for me to at least check for the games I'm looking for. I've gotten some really great deals (my complete copies of Dragon Warrior VII and Carnage Heart arrived this afternoon, both in excellent condition) and had a lot of stuff snatched out of my cart (Persona twice this week alone), but the Morning Mad Scramble for Games is always kinda fun regardless of whether or not I score anything I wanted. I know the stuff I miss out on is likely going to some other CAGer who's posted a deal that I've benefitted from in the past.

I ordered Super Ghouls and Ghosts for the GBA last week when it popped up and was expecting it to be cart only (the description states "does not include box and instructions" for all the used GBA games). To my surprise, it came complete with box, manual, various other inserts, and the cartridge was still in the little plastic bag. It looks brand new to me.

On the bad side, I have an order that supposedly shipped on 6-2. The USPS tracking info has either stated that the shipper has notified them of the shipment or tracking service has not been purchased for this item. EB customer service told me that if it doesn't show up by tomorrow (Thurs) I need to contact them. At least the tracking service will be on my side with this one.

I have a similar problem. I ordered Deathrow back when several CAGs were gushing about it and USPS site says they were notified to expect the package for shipping on 6-7. All but the very latest order has come in from EB and no Deathrow.

The sad part is...I would have missed it had I not been bored and decided to see what I had purchased lately. I clicked the order and thought 'hey, I don't remember that arriving.'

This will be the second lost order from EB in the last 3 weeks. Hope they don't think I'm trying to scam them when I call and ask for a replacement.

Very interesting. Deathrow is one of the games that was supposed to be in the package that hasn't updated any tracking info.

Does anyone actually want to buy Lunar and Suikoden? I mean, there is that chance that you might not get the original packaging and whatnot.
I'm pretty proud, this was my first experience getting to have a new Lunar in my cart.
I don't think they really have those. It only shows up during the update (before the numbers sort of stabilize). I can't believe there are a ton of people who wait on the update only for Lunar. It is only listed for a few seconds (refresh once or twice when you see it listed), and it's not possible to buy it that quickly.

In other news, everyone must have slept in this morning.
I'm pretty proud, this was my first experience getting to have a new Lunar in my cart.
Nice baptism . . . by extension, is the ultimate CAG rite of passage having a game (you really, really want and have searched the update weeks for) pulled from your cart in the last throes of checkout????

Most of the EB links just stopped working for me. Instead of going to the page for a linked game, I'm getting the main EB page now.

Man, a LOT came in stock today all around. Snagged Iridion 2 for 4.99 b/c, nothing else caught my eye, EXCEPT a PS1 game called Jigsaw Madness. They had it for 4.99 new before the update (I was bored and browsing), and it looked identical to an old SNES game called Pieces, and they had a few copies, so I was going to buy it with any games at the updated, but all the copies disappeared at the update, I'm assuming it's a Lunar stock type issue again.

It's already gone, but I did get a chance to pick up a copy of Street Fighter Alpha 3 for GBA for $12.99 before discount. Just figured I would let everyone know that it did pop up for a minute just in case you might have been looking for it. Also, picked up Magic Pengel finally as well. Thanks original poster!

Got Disaster Report, but alas no Ring of Red. I really wish you could add games to your wishlist when they're are out of stock, or at least be able to see if they are at a B&M store.

Blaze Dragons $3.99 b/c

Think old school LucasArts Indiana Jones adventure games style, but with Monty Python humor infused!! You play as a burnt out dinosaur in this comical cartoony adventure.
Back in stock! 6 left.
Looks like fun. Thanks OP(s).
