I'm so lost as to why this and lufia are still available... did people just give up on snes games?
They're expensive enough that they're not a great deal, considering they're cart only and likely to have either marker on them or some wear to the label at least.

I can't believe I missed Magic Sword. That was the one of the SNES games I have been looking for. Oh well, maybe next week (since I'll be out of town for a week). I've kind of liked getting up early to see what deals they put up. Like a little treasure hunt.

I've used Goo Gone to get rid of stickers on both cartridges and discs. You just have to be careful with discs because of getting the residue of the sticker on the underside of the disc. It can come off easily enough, you just have to be careful when you're cleaning that you don't scratch the disc.

That's funny that you mention Goo Gone. I was gone to mention that today. I used it last week to remove all of the stickers from the games that I've received recently. It does a great job of cleaning the games up. Now if we could just stop people from writing their names on cartridges with Sharpies. Seriously... if you're going to write your name on a game, don't trade it in. :)

I found that if you use isoproponol (rubbing) alcohol on the sharpie names it comes off. It takes a lil elbow grease, but it works.

I'll have to try the rubbing alcohol idea, now if only Blockbuster and others hadn't decided that is was a good iead to etch their names into the cartridges I'd be happier.

wd 40 works like a charm

Yeah, I've tried WD-40 also and it does work better than alcohol, but after a while, I found that my cartridge collection started to smell like an auto body shop.

Try to put 100 of the item in your cart, hit the update button, and then it'll show the total they have in stock....

I swear if this is not mentioned in the first post on the new thread, I'm going to strangle someone :)

Quite a bit of stuff left that was looked over.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/225113.asp?siteID=FKSJxY2VJAk-1jalhUvcWbuPJpkLabvCWQ

This one's back in stock and Strider and another person said that they recieved complete copies of it though it says used.

Never heard of this one, but it's cheap, done by Tecmo, and seems interesting.

This one's in and it seems like there's always somebody who want one.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/148463.asp?siteID=FKSJxY2VJAk-U28ZMoAIht5cgeCVItMAFg

$3.99 for a classic game that is still better than some of today's games IMO.

Atlus gameboy game and this is a great price for it. It's sort of a spin on Pokemon with robots and with a lot more custimization. Can get freaking annoying at times. More difficult than your average Pokemon game.

Agreed. Seems like every other page someone asks, which is fine by me as I'm all for being helpful, but that get tiring and annoying after a time.

That was me. I got my copy of Super Ghouls N' Ghosts complete. It still had that stupid EB sticker on the back, but it come with everything. The cartridge was still in the plastic bag.

Sorry about that. Couldn't remember who it was and didn't want to go wading through the deep EBgames morning update thread.
Yeah, with Goo Gone it smells a bit "citrusy" for a day or so.
Warning: never, *ever* use Goo Gone to remove stickers from a CD style case (like PSX, or Saturn). It will literally dissolve the plastic of the case and leave you with a smeared, sticky mess.

For sticker removal, I always use something xylene-based, like Undu. It leaves no residue (and no odor) behind. No idea if it will get rid of markers, though.
I've never had problem with Goo Gone on CD cases. When I get the stickers off I Windex the case and they're fine.
Same here. I find it to be alot easier to use goo Gone to remove stickers on classic PSone cases and on the one Saturn case I have. Goo Gone on PS2/this gen's cases is more difficult to remove the stickers/residue because the plastic sometimes moves around. It also doesn't seem to work as well for some reason, but it could be that I don't leave it long enough on the case. When I have difficulty removeing the residue from those types of cases, I just pull out a pocket knife and carefully remove the remaining residue with it. Works like a charm. For some reason it can leave streaks on this gen's cases though and somehow manages to get sometimes under the plastic whichi s just a pain in the ass because then you have to dry it and wait for it to stop smelling citrusy and be very careful as to not screw up the box art and make it sticky.

What other things should be stated in the next topic?

- How to find out how many games are in stock.
- What time the update happens
- Codes for lowering cost on pre-played games and pre-played shipping trick.

Etc.

How to remove the EBgames stickers?
Specific games that tend to be sought after (just like dafoomie's post), etc.

Edit: Are you going to be making one then? I thought we were just going to wait/have dafoomie make one. If not I wouldn't mind to make the first post of the next EBgames thread. I'm normally here in the morning, albeit later in day mostly after the update has happened, but I'm fairly good with adding stuff. Besides, we have slidecage for the early updates most of the time anyway. :D.

Another Warning: Using organic solvents (like Xylene, Toluene, Acetone...etc.) is dangerous on any plastic. If the polymer has too great an affintiy for the solvent it will soak up the solvent like a sponge (which is what is being described here I expect). I like isopropyl alcohol, it's pretty mild. It's probaby a good bet to try ANY cleaning agent on a spot that doesn't matter much. Like the top or side of a NES/SNES/GB cart (or similar spot on whatever you're cleaning). Another warning about discs, the solvent *could* cause unseen damage to the material, weaking a disc...it could possibly fly apart when it spins up...

Take it from a chemist (me :)) and just stay away from solvents whenever possible. Solvents are bad for you!
Is this game any good at all? Never played the KOF games on a GB before.
I dunno but I do recall EGM giving this and World Heroes 2 Jet decent scores and calling them good portable fighters.

For the next EBGames thread, as someone mentioned, all of the codes (not just Pre-Played) should be listed with descriptions of what they apply to/how to use them. That'd be handy. :)

I could make it, but I'd rather not step on someone else's toes. I'm pretty new here, I just love this thread and pointing out good finds to others.

I'm just giving suggestions on what we should add.

- How to find out how many games are in stock.
- What time/days EBGames stocks new additions. (Remember, no weekends!)
- Codes for lowering cost on pre-played games and pre-played shipping trick.
- Description on what codes do.
- How to remove the EBgames stickers?
- Specific games that tend to be sought after (just like dafoomie's post), etc.

does anyone know if buying a game for $20 pre-order of a game, then the game actually cost $49.99 when it does come out. Will EB honor their price or will they charge u an extra $30?

- Description on what codes do.
- How to remove the EBgames stickers? You can't. They make them out of some thermolite plastique that will explode if completely removed. Thus, they are a PITA to do so. If you're buying a game in which you can't replace the case (Madden 2005 CE, etc) you're screwed.
- Specific games that tend to be sought after (just like dafoomie's post), etc.
What I want to know is why they feel the need to place them on the collector's sleeves and completely ruin it.

I've never had a problem with removing a sticker from any kind of case, cd, dvd, or just a plain Genesis plastic one, but I'm no chemist either so it may be wise to listen to him. In any event I find it to be a lot easier to leave the sticker entirely intact and apply a few drops to it, let it soak a few minutes and the sticker should come right off. Then I just apply a few drops to a cleaning cloth and wipe off any residue. Just apply a drop at a time and see how far it saturates before adding another drop, this makes it less messy and wastes less.

I ordered the Eyetoy: Play disc a few days ago from EB. When it arrived today, it not only was the big box with the camera also included, but it was even brand new and still sealed! Not bad for $5.99 AC.
