Recently I dropped my DS and the top screen split off from the bottom. Everything stayed remarkably intact, the screen was just hanging.
I figured it wouldn't be a problem to come up from underneath, rejigger the bracket and place the screen back in place.
Everything worked perfectly. However, when I closed everything back up, the D-pad started acting funky. Up and down work fine, but left and right only work about one in 10 times.
Has anyone ever encountered this? I imagine it's a pretty easy fix, but I'm not sure what the simplest way to approach it is.
