CAGiversary!
Rumored in the April issue these announcements :
5. Hellgate London
4. Crimson Skies 2
3. Duke Nukem Forever
2. KOTOR III
1. World of WarCraft: Azeroth Adventures
Duke Nukem Forever...? Geez... Let it die. (no pun intended)
Never!

I could definetly go for a third helping of KOTOR, just because I didn't care for the second one

And WoW would be cool if we could use our PC subscriptions/user names, so we don't get billed twice.

Crimson Skies 2... I like the idea.

So here's for wishful thinking.
April issue? Could it be a joke?
:whistle2:o Okay, I withdraw my previous statement. I'm thinking that this is probably a joke now that I know this is from an April issue.

This is hardly shocking news, for most. CS2 and KOTOR3 are givens to come out at some point. We've all known they were coming eventually.

DNF will have to be ported to everything in existence to make back its development costs, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it ever coming out.

HL I think has been rumored by the developers to be apt for console ports.

The only real surprise is WOW, but then again, that has been rumored for a long time now, and this sounds more like the Everquest title for the PS2 (even having Adventures in the title). Which, actually, leads me to believe the entire list is bogus.

I found this interesting tid bit while surfing through digg. The following quote is taken from Xbox-Scene News.

>> From the "press release" about the "5 biggest secret games" being developed for the Xbox360 - full details will be in the April issue of the US Official Xbox Magazine:

Agents Scully and Mulder are no match for the Xbox 360's "X-files" report. Only Official Xbox Magazine can declassify the five biggest games coming out for the console that "the man" doesn't want you to know about:

* 5: Hellgate: London- This action-RPG, in which a gate to Hell has ripped open in London in 2028, is filled with massive skill customization, paper-doll character tweakage and disturbingly addictive dungeon-crawling treasure hunts. The game is possibly being kept under wraps to let it bask in the Windows limelight for awhile.

* 4: Crimson Skies 2- The original, underdog Xbox game Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge is just popular enough to give a sequel the green light. Xbox 360 doesn't want you to know about the new game yet as a matter of timing; they need to keep some bullets in their chamber for next year.

* 3: Duke Nukem Forever- The 10-years-in-the-making sequel to the 1996 industry- defining hit Duke Nukem 3D can finally meet its goals now that technology is available that will help the game redefine first-person-shooter interactivity like its predecessor. Game developer 3D Realms is probably keeping it hush hush until they pin down a release date for the PC version.

* 2: Star wars: Knights Of The Old Republic III- Developer Bioware dropped the hammer on the rest of the RPG world when it made the original Knights of the Old Republic. The game is arguably one of the best Star wars video games and warrants a third installment in its series of follow-ups. Official Xbox Magazine has a sneaking suspicion that they are working on III, but aren't letting the cat out of the bag yet as not to derail hype for other current projects.

* 1: World of Warcraft: Azeroth Adventures- Eight million PC gamers paid $50 to own the original World of Warcraft, plus another $15/month to play it. Now, the Xbox 360 version is expected to be its own animal, not a pared down version of the PC game. It seems Microsoft will keep dumping cash on Blizzard's (the developer) doorstep until they agree to create a custom-built-for-360 version of the game. Rumor has it that it will debut for the 2008 holiday season

Personally, I could give two shits about WoW.

Also, the fact that Duke Nukem Forever has been in production for 10 years does nothing for me... how long were Doom 3 and Prey in production??? right... and IMO those two titles were only meh.

Hellgate: London though.... :hot:

That WoW thing won't happen anytime soon. They don't even have a console division anymore (hence why we'll never see Starcraft:Ghost).

WoW on 360 was rumored in other places like EGM and the 'net. I agree it won't be out anytime soon, if at all...

Duke nukem will never happen. They have spent to much time, and money on it. Its been scrapped a long time ago. Yet someone, somewhere in the internets is keeping the dream alive.

The April Fools thing would seem at least possible here (pretty weak joke if it is, by the way), but why would they joke about Hellgate: London? "HA HA! Remember that one time that magazine joked about Hellgate: London coming out for the 360!? Boy, that sure put one over on us! That was hilarious!"

Yeah. Not exactly "fight Sheng Long in Street Fighter II."
April issue = April Fools?
There was a April Fools thing in the beginning of the mag....about GRAW2 with bunnies or sometihng.

I can actually see Duke Nukem being released. I believe the game would sell well enough to warrant the game being released. The game has a cult following....although, maybe we'll get Duke Nukem on XBLA ;)

What I do't like about the April Fools joke is that this stuff is in "The Mole" section. This is supposed to be the section for shit that's heard around the corner and may or may not be true.

If you really wanted to "fool" us, they should do a whole 2 to 4 page review about a game that doesn't exisist rather than just making up blurbs.
