I know someone else already posted about getting PREY cheap, but there needs to be a thread to tally up all of the discounted prices because there are some ridiculous deals I just found and it will take a combined effort to scan all of Circuit City's games. Anyways, I have just purchased:

edit: Thank you to pcktlnt for making this list alphabetized and coding it for starforce.
To help out my fellow caggers, here is a compiled list of the games that have been listed throughout the entire forum. Do not hate on me if some of the prices may be off, I just copied/pasted. Good luck finding the games. Please, please please please please put the game title and price when you guys list. This way it would help out a lot. ^__^

A few questions were arising that I thought everyone knew. But I will help clarify here just in case.
 • All prices listed below are 50% off. That means, what you see listed below should be what you pay for that game.
 • NEVER believe the sticker price on Circuit City games. If you feel doubtful have the employee/cashier PRICE CHECK the game.
 • Your mileage may vary (YMMV). For example, we know that Sam & Max price checks for 24.99, but a fellow CAG was able to find one that had a sticker price of 19.99, so he/she was able to pick it up for 10.00. Same with someone else and a Deluxe version of Battlefield. Use your best judgment in obtaining a game not on this list.
 • If you do purchase a game, please list the game and price. This way, the list can be updated.
 • Good luck fellow CAGs.
Thank you fellow CAGs for posting your game finds and prices.
Just consider gas is still over $3 a gallon (atleast here) and your spending precious time. Might not be worth it.
too late!!! just did it. they are about two miles apart and i get about 30mpg. besides, it's all about the principle. ;)
We still got no sticky love from Pooky in the VG Trade forum.
LOL That sounds so gay.
WHOA!!! HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!!

I was just at the Madison Heights, MI store and thought I'd scored the EA Strategy Collection and F.E.A.R. Extraction Point. I take them up to the counter and the girl scans them.

They both ring up as $29.99!!! WHAT.....THE....fuck?!?!?!?

I pull the edited list I had with me with the titles I was looking for and tell her, "Wait a second. The EA box is supposed to be $2.74 and FEAR is $3.29. Look at the price stickers: neither is $30; FEAR is $25 and EA is $20."

She asked me where I'd gotten my prices from and I told her here and that I'd bought eight games two nights ago at the Dearborn store and some a couple of weekends back. (I didn't even think to point out that the $19.99 should've been 50% off, I was so caught off guard.)

She said that all she could do was match the prices to what the stickers said. Obviously, that was a non-starter and I left empty-handed. I'm just a guy with a printed Word list that I'm saying I got from this web site; why should she believe me?

I wonder WTF went wrong there? This sucks. I need more games like Angelina Jolie needs more kids, but a deal's a deal and now I'm SOL.
This might be a new CC glitch?!!??!?!

and they are trying to fix it?

ooooo
i hit up all the chicagoland CCs, a lot of stuff left actually

So far i nabbed

COH: OP
Battlefield 2 deluxe
LOTR: BFME II
GTR2 (the $2 one)
Gothic 3
Darwinia
Dark Messiah

someone in my family is gonna get a cheapass birthday present for sure!
If you hit up ALL the chicagoland stores, you spent more in gas then you did in games.

shens.
Actually on second thought, I would love a Stubbs the Zombie.

If anyone has an extra copy I would be willing to pay for it.

Where's the trading thread?
I picked mine up at circuitcity.com for $5.48 + $2 shipping since it wasn't available locally. It's been going in and out of stock on the website for the last several days.

I cant find the Guildwars : Nightfall CE anywhere near me.

Anyone know if the normal non collectors rings up similarly? or is this price awesomeness strictly for the nightfall CE?
I cant find the Guildwars : Nightfall CE anywhere near me.

I'm pretty sure Guild Wars Nightfall is EEEEEee... (screeching breaks...)

Now I'm pretty sure Guild Wars Nightfall is gone from their website...

Next time somebody is at CC could they please price match that for us?
Yes, it's listed as SUPREME COMMANDER FO THQ752919493274 on my receipt. I did have a problem on Saturday at a different store when I asked them to check the price. It was not in the system and eventually they tried to charge me the price for the original game. This was bought at the CC in Seal Beach, CA
Thanks, i picked up two of them! I recently got Supreme Commander and was looking for a deal on Forged Alliance.

Now i gotta find someone that will trade me for my extra one...hopefully for a new Command & Conquer 3

Picked up Call of Juarez, GTR2, and two games I didn't see on the list:
Race 07 ($7.50) and
Classic Game Collection ($10.00) with Monopoly, Clue, Life, and Scrabble

Thanks for the heads-up! I ran into trouble while trying to buy it earlier; I didn't realize it was going in and out of stock. I managed to place an order just now. I hope it ships out soon and I don't get a backorder notice!
I am looking for the Lord of the Rings titles, if anyone has them to spare.
You know I was thinking of opening my EA Strategies collection and taking Black and white 2 with the expansion and offering the other stuff to anyone who wants it since I already have Generals+expansion and I don't want BFME.

You were not the only one with this problem, I tired getting Battlefield 2142 and it rang up full price and that was the one game I really wanted, but I manged to get Desperate Housewives for $5.00 (its for my girlfriend). Stupid store didn't any DVDs that were advertised, and didn't even have much of the $19.99 or lower pc games, and yes I agree with everyone, this store blows.

Same store that I was at earlier in the week where Left Behind wasn't in the system so they'd only sell it for the marked $25 price and DNA rang up as $10 (was at least able to match the website's $3.01 on that one). Wonder if it could have anything to do with that being a newer store?

Ok, I am done. I would like to find Ship, Galatic Civ II, and LOTR II, but I am happy.

American Conquest Anthology
Call of Quarez
Company of Heroes: Opposing Front
Dark Messiah: Might and Magic CE
Darwinia (3 of them for trade)
Desperate Housewives
Dungeon Siege II
EA Strategy Collection
Galatic Civ: Ultimate Edition
Half Life 2: $10
Heroes of Might and Magic V
Left Behind (free)
LOTR II: Rise of the Witch King
Maelstrom
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened
Sid Myeres Railroad

Thanks,
matthew

Not if you carpool!

I just got back from my local (Niles, OH) Circuit City. I picked up:

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
Elder Scrolls IV Shivering Isles (Store had plenty more)
Dirt (racing) (One left)
Ghost Recon AWF 2 (A few more left)
STALKER (Two more left)
Need for Speed Carbon
Darwinia
Overlord (One more left)
Black & White 2: Battle of the Gods
Guild Wars: Nightfall CE

(edit) I'd be willing to trade some of these, or pick up some of the remaining games at the local Circuit City if anyone's interested. Is there a trading thread for this sale?

ok, there IS a trading thread , but Pookey is being lazy and not sticking it for the cag who made the thread in the first place. So when I get a chance I am making moving my list to back to my own trade list.
Anyone who picked up THE SHIP. Is anyone playing this online? Are there servers open still?
When I last played my copy a few months ago there still were. I'm sure it's not dead yet.

There were a lot left at my CC, but sadly not really what I wanted. I have some additions too.

Anyway, I wanted SW Empire at War and LOTR Battle for ME 2 (and expansions).

Did find LOTS of Titan Quest, one Nightfall CE, Dark Messiah (LE and Reg) CC Collection, Doom 3, etc.

Oh, FEAR, Prey (reg) and the Battlefield games.

Additions:
Adventures in Odyssey 2 pack (big box) $7.50
Curious George Educational Title $7.50
Multi- title educational software with Magic School Bus and Roller Typing $9.99

I just grabbed Battle for Middle Earth over lunch. Only FEAR expansion packs at my local CC, oh well.

Thanks for the heads up, guys!

My local CC was a bit of a poor hunting ground, though I did check a couple not on the list, without any success:

Galactic Civilizations II - Deluxe (Includes expansion pack) - $24.99
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - $24.99
I picked mine up at circuitcity.com for $5.48 + $2 shipping since it wasn't available locally. It's been going in and out of stock on the website for the last several days.
Yeah I went ahead and ordered it via CC's website. Hahah, funny thing is that ETA isn't until 02/29/08...strange thing is, there are only 28 days in February.

Lord do I hate CC...

LoL, you bought fucking maelstrom, Jericho, and silverfall instead of Company of Heroes, Rise of Legends, and Stalker? You probably have the worst taste of anyone I've ever seen.

I already own CoH and Rise of Nations, and I just didn't feel like droping another $10 on Stalker after I had already hit up the Target clearence too

A bunch of games and Valentines day = Empty wallet

I was able to snag:

2x Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (one for me and one for my brother)

Went to two different stores to get both copies, one rang up no problem for $10, the other one rang up out of the system and they did a look-up on it for $10.

2x Darwinia

1x Company of Heroes: Opposing Front

1x Overlord

Most of the stores I've gone to have a good number of copies of this game and its supposed to be pretty good.

Overall I'd say it was a good haul. I wanted to get Rise of Legends but I haven't seen that at any store near me for over a year.
What?!?! They've still got that Leap Year thing going on? I thought Congress did away with it.
No, Congress fucked up the whole Daylight Savings Time thing.

Leap years are necessary or the calendar would screw up and civilization would fall and dogs and cats would be living together because the Earth's orbit is 365.25 days long. Having Feb. 29 every four years balances the books.

But then we'd eventually be able to celebrate Christmas in the middle of Summer. Why should those Aussies have all the fun?

I don't think we would be able to.

Maybe our great-great-great-great-great-great-(Emperor's New Groove)...........great-grand children would.

FYI for SF CAGers: the downtown Circuit City only has the following

Rainbow Six: Vegas
Sword of the Stars
Medal of Honor Allied Assault
DOOM 3
Armed and Dangerous
Quake 4 (x2)
Hmmm...
Has anyone seen the original Supreme Commander at CC?
And if so, how much???
I saw one copy at the store I got my second copy of Forged Alliance at and it was marked $29.99 and surprisingly enough it rang up as $29.99, I think thats a first for any PC game I've brought to a register at CC.

I wanted to get both of the games assuming that there is some semblance of a story, but I doubt I'm missing much. Maybe to the original Sup Com will end up on clearance at Target soon.
I will say to those looking for ones you can't find, try BB pricematch. I have successfully done it 5 times.

2X Fear - $10 each
Titan Quest- $10
Battle for middle earth 2-$6
Expansion for middle earth 2- $6

They also had the EA pack with BFME 1, generals and expansion, black and white 2 + expansion all for $20/$10 with PM.
your BB is very generous. My BB will never PM a clearance or really anything without a weekly ad. they wont call a store for availablitiy, and it must be in stock at CC or fry's or whatever store you are trying to PM.

nicely done tho if you can find it.

I just got a PC last week, didnt really get it for gaming, but i might have to pick up a couple. i have no idea which games i would want tho, and doubt there will be much left since this sale is a month old now
