You CAN NOT require people to pay as gift or pay the fees. Go read the Cag rules and PP rules. Why do people keep doing this shit?

Its a private transaction. He can ask you to pay in circus peanuts if he wants. If someone doesn't like it they don't have to buy. The only time I've seen people make a big deal about that is if they are sketchy to begin with. I would also like to know where you are getting info like that. That rule would kill almost every group buy out there.

Group buys are exempt from this restriction.

They must've deleted the rule, but there used to be a rule that you couldn't be forced to send the payment as a gift.

Of course, this does not rule the option out at all, but you couldn't require them to send the payment as a gift. However, I've never encountered someone who refused to send payment as a gift in any of the transactions that I've done here. You just have to ask nicely. ;)

EDIT: Nevermind, the rule is here. It's apparently against PayPal TOS to send payment as a gift if you're purchasing something from the person. Of course, this isn't really traceable without some digging on their part, and there's now an option for "Payment Owed" under the personal payment option which may be a legitimate alternative, but I'm not quite sure.

Thanks. It's a private transaction between two "friends" in my book and not against PayPal TOS. Buyers should understand the risks though. Basically, what they posted about group buys I feel applies to all extra copies etc but that's just me.

Rules are rules I suppose even if I don't agree. My guess is someone got ripped off and complained to the mods or they are afraid Paypal will get upset with them for encouraging something which can be interpreted as against their TOS.

I have a Pixeljunk Eden code for steam if anyone is interested. I am looking for PSN codes. Basically any DLC for Assassins Creed 3, Resident Evil 6, Borderlands 2, either of the Fallouts, Dead Island, LBP 2, or cheap PSN games are preferred.
