PC Skyrim: Legendary 9.99 Skyrim 5.99 Free Shipping Newegg

I sent an email to the seller as part of the dispute process and I mentioned that the key wasn't a Steam key. This was the response I got.

That is correct, the game is offline edition, not all Skyrim games require Steam.
Steam is not available in all countries. There are offline editions available for purchase, outside of USA.

Did you want the Steam edition? I stated in the listing that the game does not work online, so why did you purchase it?

He just responded again to a different letter I sent, when I asked where I could learn more about the "Offline Edition" of Skyrim

I am sorry, but I am not here to share my sources, if you do not want the game, I can request you code to be deactivated (if it hasn't been used it) and refund your payment.
If you wanted steam version, why did you buy version that does not work online? I asked you in my last email, but you did not respond.

Thanks.
So yeah, I'll be getting my money back on this one. Others who bought should do the same

I don't think he's necessarily scamming you guys: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615805-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/64024734

That thread has reports of sealed copies from Europe that will play the full game but not activate on Steam. That is likely what he is selling. Keys from those copies and the install files uploaded somewhere. Or it could be a keygen he is using, but either way if he stated it wasn't Steam I don't know why people bother with it. Not sure which one is the bigger scammer, the guy or the buyer who buys knowing it says not Steam with the full intention to dispute when they in fact get what was advertised.

Paypal doesn't cover digital goods either usually.

With all this talk of BB pricematching, I guess I'll try it myself tomorrow. I seriously doubt it'll work for me, though, the stores in my area hate PM.
Really? They don't point out the Newegg site says "UNAVAILABLE" AND "SOLD OUT" in large letters next to the price?
I guess it depends on what manager or supervisor they have look at the override. And the associate.

How do you PM with BB? Do you bring in a screenshot or what? If you have a screenshot before it was out of stock, please SHARE m8s.

It's good, the thread isn't that far gone.  Easiest way to pm is to do it on your phone, just bring up the site and show it to them.  Printouts are easy to fake, so it's ymmv as to whether or not they're accepted.
