Roaring Lucky Lunar New Year Sale starting now! Nearly 5000 discounts and the chance to win cool prizes!
Kung Hei Fat Choi! It's Lunar New Year again! Some of you may be wondering what this Lunar or Chinese New Year is about: The Traditional Chinese Calendar is based on Moon cycles and starts a few weeks after the western New Year. This festival is the most important, and joyoys time in Chinese societies. People buy new clothes, sweep their house and children get red pockets.

Every lunar year is represented by an animal. Last year, it was the ox that represents hard work, and this year is the year of the tiger, promising adventures and dynamic. These big cats are natural leaders, we certainly hope that they'll lead everybody to a happy and prosperous year.

To welcome the Tiger, Play-Asia.com will start into the New year with the Roaring Lucky Lunar New Year Sale, with thousands of brilliant bargains and a chance to win awesome prizes.

Look for the goodies left on your Christmas wish list, there's a good chance that they're now available at a lower price. We have carefully reviewed our inventory and the result is a total of around 5,000 in-stock items, we have around 2000 games, 200 console accessories, 400 toys, 200 books, 800 music CDs and around 1000 movies.

But this is not all! Like we've done with our sales in the past, you will again have the chance to win fantastic prizes such as consoles, games and store credits. So what are you waiting for?

And this is how it works:

Now Tiger will guide you to where the Sales and the Lucky Draw are. The cheerful big cat will stop by the bargained products between February 2nd and February 11th, snap up the goodies and there you go, entered into the Lucky Draw. The more you buy, the more you save and the higher your chances of winning our prizes.

The winners of the 30 main prizes will be announced in this news post during the last week of February 2010 and will also be notified by e-mail.

Yet, be aware. Some products are restocked regularly, so the tiger comes back time and time again, yet for limited versions, such as toys and music, once the tiger leaves (out of stock) he never returns. Set your priorities and plan your shopping strategies.

Prizes:

(*) The "game of your choice" is only valid for any game priced up to a maximum of US$ 70 per title. Winning choices may be limited to countries where shipping restrictions apply. Prizes cannot be redeemed as cash.

Ugh their stuff is always so expensive, even when they're on sale...the only thing i've bought recently is the FFXIII PS3 =D It's so awesome/pink

Phantasy star 0 DS was a great deal... there were only 2 left too! I bought both, one for me and one for a friend... Awesome!

has anyone played Daigasso! Band Brothers? I remember hearing great things about it and its only $30 preowned which is a pretty good deal.

This was admittedly my fault, but when I ordered it I only knew that it was a well regarded rhythm game... I was sorely disappointed, as all the tracks are just in MIDI. Deal-breaker for me.

If you're cool with that (though I'm not sure how anyone could be in 2010), the mechanics seemed solid and there was some fun multiplayer.

I was excited to get their email. However, after looking at their 'sale' prices I don't see anything worth buying. For some reason, I remember the last two years having a lot better stuff, and prices than this year's sale.

True that, but the dollar wasn't worth only 90 yen the past two years. Err maybe during the bottoming out last year it was I don't remember. It isn't the good old days of 110 yen to the dollar anymore and it never will be again :(
Interested in Captain Rainbow, but not sure if there is anyway to play it on a US wii.
I bought it for $20 when they had it as a daily deal just because I thought it would be awesome to have it :p

I decided against it. I bought Ouendan 2 a while back which is a lot of fun and easy to navigate since you really don't need to know japanese to play the game, and from what i've read, this game is a bit more difficult when it comes to navigating menus.

Thanks for your input!

Yup...won't be participating in this...
only because there really isn't anything of interest/the prices aren't quite low enough, not to mention when you add shipping to Canada.

Only if you hack it.

What's holding me back from Captain Rainbow is that, even though I want it, the language barrier makes me hesitant to pay $20 + shipping for a game I may not be able to play at all.
They couldn't even spring for the jp version of the FFXIII ps3 for their grand prize? :p
Is not like there is a huge difference between the Asian and Japanese version
Darn, was unrealistically hoping for a sale on mushihimesama futari.
You weren't the only one. I looked. Oh well.

Nothing real exciting at all, things claim as discounted are the regular price IE MW2 and others not one real decent gaming deal that I wanted.

Could someone check for me since I'm at work, but is there a discount on Toro Anniversary PS3? Or Kenzan?

I'll check when I get home I suppose.

I'll bump this deal because I love Play Asia, but I gotta say, I don't think there's anything on sale that will make me bite on something that I didn't have my heart set on already. Not that impressed.

I checked on Kenzan and it doesn't look like it's on sale, but it IS cheaper than I thought it would be. Hmmm...
