Cheapy can you use your Play-Asia contacts to confirm that AC6 is going to work on US 360's. There's still some doubt in my mind as the page does seem to give conflicting information.

Anyway, does anyone know how import-friendly Slide Adventure: Mag Kid is? I can't find any sort of translation guide but this is a great price to try it out for.

What about the page is conflicting? It says it works on US and Japan consoles. It looks like you can only get Japanese language on a Japanese console, though.
It will not work on Euro/PAL consoles.

The wording around the language part seemed a little ambiguous -- as if you could only get English on a Japanese console, although that makes no sense. I pulled the trigger and ordered away; with some affiliate funds I'd been sitting on for months, it cost me under $5 to buy. :D The demo for AC6 had me completely floored by how beautiful it was, I can't wait to try the full version.

If you guys get AC6 that functions the same as the US version for this price, I'll be jealous. $50 AC was the best price I could find through the holidays until this deal. The game is gorgeous (even on SD) but so far the SP gameplay is very similar to AC4. The main reason I bought it now was for online, though, so I'll see how that is once I get a little more experience in SP.
 
The Mii Editor cart apparently comes with a bluetooth dongle for your comp. and allows functionality with the wiimote. I wonder if you could run a power point presentation with the wiimote? That will definitley up the nerd factor of my next presenation.

They are legit, but they are the Japanese versions, so you may be missing out on the text unless you know the language. All GBA games are region free, so they will play on your system.

Yea, I had AC6 and F.E.A.R. files in the cart and went to checkout and the price for AC6 shows up 49.90 so I guess I'm out on this one unless the $24 price comes back.

It's 2 games in one. Decent amount of playing time, not terribly long, but definitely not short either. Even though it got mediocre reviews, I thought it was pretty fun and worth buying.

Yeah, it really depends on what system you're buying for...to me, it seems like the PSP selection is very nice. The Salamander and Twinbee games are tempting, but the Japanese version of Goku Makai-mura Kai is something that I've had my eye on for-stinking-ever. Ordered that *as soon as* I found out about the sale. This is the first time that game has received any kind of discount, and it's the perfect price to get me to jump.

I still am partially thinking about the Salamander and Twinbee games, but since they're the Asian version as opposed to the Japanese version, I'm not quite as interested. I know, I know...it's a pretty stupid distinction, but it's just my preference. But any port in a storm sometimes, I suppose...
 
I just got a psp and I was wondering what the Salamander and Twinbee Portable games are like. If I only get one is there one that would be a better buy? Are there any other good deals in the psp section that I might be over looking? I know a little about import ds and advance games but nothing about psp games. Thanks in advance.

Salamander's better imo, never liked the Twinbee series, that shoot the bell powerup system just never clicked with me, there's also the Parodius Collection

Parodius is the better of the 3 for me. Salamander and Twin Bee are not as unique. You also get Chatting Parodius and Sexy Parodius which are real gems in terms of Japanese quirkiness.

I finally picked up Initial D Street Stage for PSP. It is the Asian so it has an English Manual. Unique game and a great port of the Japan arcade game and will NEVER be released in the US
 
Yeah, this sale kicks butt IMO. Most of the PS2 stuff I wanted got sold out quickly, but I did order Gekisha Boy 2 (Polaroid Pete 2) pre-owned before it sold out. Hopefully, we'll see Gekisha Boy 3 on PS3 with cartoon Britney Spears shaving her own head while the main character tries to take her photo. If you're familiar with this series, you will know what I'm talking about...

Oh, and the playasia site is down right now...:(

Different regions have different markets. Warhawk is mainly targeted towards the European and American markets, thus, the price will remain high because the sales have a tendency to be high. But in the Asian markets, where shooters like that do poorly, prices have a tedency to drop faster or end up on clear.

Common business sense.

That is a great price. A lot of us passed on it because the Xbox 360 version is superior, but if you only have a PS3 or whatever, you can't go wrong. Yeah, it may slip below $20 in the US at some point, but how long do you feel like waiting?

Sorry for the delay in responding...I wasn't watching the thread that closely.

The version of the game I bought is not the original one. Japan got the original, *and* they got a reworked version that offers more difficulty, different enemy placement, more arcadey feel, fewer continues, etc. This is the one that I bought, and it's important to distinguish this version from the original. The original's Japanese name is Goku Makai-mura, and the reworked version's Japanese name is Goku Makai-mura Kai. The "Kai" is the important, distinguishing part.

Kai was never released in the US, and *will never* be released here. It's a budget re-release which isn't uncommon in Japan. It's got extra content in the Kai verison of the game, but *also* contains the entire original game, Goku Makai-mura. You can freely choose whichever one you wish to play.

I bought Ultimate Ghosts n' Goblins when it came out here in the US. It was the sole reason I bought my PSP, and I never regretted it. I L-O-V-E this game. Thus, I want to experience all of the Capcom love that I can, as this game is nothing short of a gift to old school gamers like me. I grew up playing, and loving, stuff like this, so naturally, I want to experience as much of it as I possibly can.

Bonus: this version of the game comes with a full-color instruction book, and a pretty darned cool cover, even going so far as to show a screen shot of *white* Arremers (devils) on the back cover. The game requires the PSP to be at or above firmware 3.40.

Unfortunately, the sale stock that P/A had is gone, and the price has returned to its pre-sale amount of $32.90, along with a week waiting period. To me, that means that it's out of stock, but they can get more if needed. I'd recommend it highly if you love this stuff. I held out for the Japanese verison over the Asian version, but that's just because I wanted that version due to my own silliness. If you don't have a region preference, Asian region games are *always* cheaper than Japanese region games, and probably offer the exact same thing.

Wow. Didn't know I had that much to say about it. Yike.
