Play Borderlands GOTY content with regular disc?

I sold my GOTY borderlands a while ago, but with BL2 coming up soon I've been wanting to hop back in. I have the content installed so how does the GOTY version work? Can I get a copy of the original 360 game and play the content still?

You shouldn't have any issues with a regular Borderlands disc since all the content is already installed.

Yeah I checked on my 360 and they are all installed and they are under the game Borderlands, not GOTY or anything. Plus I realized that they sold the DLC packs as discs too that worked with the regular game. I assume these are the same exact thing.

Yep it will work fine. I have the 1st 2 DLCs from the disc release and the last 2 from a GOTY Disc and have had no problems using a Vanilla disc
