What are the odds that the Mass Effect Trilogy ever hits PS Plus? I'm new to the service, so not sure what to expect. I want it, but I also have a decent backlog such that I can wait for a few months.
If you were holding out like I was and the PS+ leak turns out to be true, then it looks like I successfully invoked the "hold out" curse, yesterday. After waiting for almost a year, I finally pulled the trigger on the physical version over Black Friday. It arrives tomorrow...the exact day that the game will be announced as free.

Mass Effect and Biomutant are pretty great gets, but that third game has HUGE F2P MTX OMG energy, just from that picture.

Is God of War 3 remastered worth buying? I really liked the 2018 God of War and am enjoying Ragnarok. Tempted to buy it but considering it is a 12 year old game I am not sure if it will hold up.

It holds up, but it's also a very different kind of game compared to the two which followed. I'd watch some gameplay first.

I'm streaming Need for Speed Unbound if you want to see that in action.

Edit: Here's the archive. It's a surprisingly better game than I was expecting with Criterion not being what they used to be back when they last made a Need for Speed game. It does a smart thing by separating the story mode from the freeroam/multiplayer race mode that is more like a Burnout Paradise or Forza Horizon game. The story mode takes out the need for upgrading your cars to progress, as you get a good car to start and they're all basically the same stats-wise. Freeroam is where you start with a baseline car and use money from collectibles and PVP races to upgrade them or buy better cars. The PVP races are done pretty well since you get notifications for when somebody on the server is queueing up for a race and don't have to drive to the start point. PVP races are just three races with tournament points awarded based on finish place and they still work pretty well for even just three racers up to an eight car max, though I do wish they had AI racers that could fill out the field.

The art style for the characters is well done and it's much easier to see them pre-race and while driving than it ever was for the FH games that also had a lot of cosmetics for the drivers. The controls can take a bit to get used to them since the cars are heavier than the way that Forza Horizon's cars control, especially with its drift and boost mechanics that are pretty well done.

There goes my hopes for a sale on Tunic.
I wouldn’t give up hope yet—in years past, there’s normally been a Game Awards related sale that goes live around the same time as the event. If something happens like that again this year, you may see it get a discount then. That being said, if we don’t see anything by the end of next week, then you can probably give up hope for 2022.

Can you play Little Big Planet 3 on PS5? When I click on it from the End of Year sale on PlayStation's website it just says "Unavailable for Purchase"

Did biomutant get a free upgrade to ps5? If not, even better. Also that DKO game reminded me of the game DokeV and I wonder when that game’s even comin out

I have this urge to buy it, not sure why lol
It seems pretty good so far. They have separate story and freeroam modes with the latter being in the vein of a Burnout Paradise or Forza Horizon. Controls pretty well and runs fine so far. Only issue I have is that puddles and water-filled areas don't have any splashing or control differences to normal roads.

Good month imo

This makes me want to drag the PS5 out just to play BioMutant finally. What doesn't make sense is I have the CE also sitting in storage waiting to be played on Xbox. Usually my reasoning is sound but I have no words. . .

I’m having a blast with it so far. If you have either EA Play on PS or GamePass (via EA Play) on Xbox, you can play the trial for 10 hours. Hoping to stretch that while waiting for a sale.
I swooped a discounted digital copy last night. Haven't played it yet but from what i am seeing so far, people are really liking it.

Very fun game if you're into weird mashups and leaderboard chasing games.

Man, Sony's subscription management sucks. I upgraded to the premium tier to try it out for the last month of my sub and there was absolutely no way to downgrade it to the middle tier to get the BF deal. My only option was to let it just renew at the $90 premium BF price or leave it downgraded and let it renew at $100.

Did you call them up? Email them? Ask them on twitter? This seems ridiculous.

Warframe has cross platform play now. I don't believe cross saves are live yet, but they've said it's in the works.

This is why I dislike subscription services and more so "pay for discount" services.  Wish there were more third party stores, like Steam, where price competition could take place.

Yeah I would never subscribe to anything for movies or tv so that makes sense I am unaware. You can't downgrade game pass or nintendo family back to individual can you?

If you don’t know why would you even bring it up?
Far as I know no game subs allow downgrades but I'm not against the idea I could be wrong. I should have specified gaming subs initially but thought it was implied since PS + in all flavors is a gaming service.

You got anything of value to add or just being a crab?

Keeping an open mind on this, but not gonna lie, I still don’t know if I’m sold on Bella Ramsey as Ellie. When I first heard about the adaptation, my first thought for Ellie was Kaitlyn Dever. Having looked it up just now, she’s nearly 26 so it’s probably too much to age her down for the first season—but if the second season was covering the second game, I think she could have easily fit for that role. Too bad the adaptation didn’t come earlier though, as Dever closer to the same time period as when she did Short Term 12 would have been PERFECT for the season one role.

Guess we'll know soon enough whether the casting was good or not.
