PlayStation Home on the PS3 Offers Free PSOne Games After PS4 Tour

Three PSOne games are being given away for free on PlayStation Home, in the area called the PlayStation 4 Experience.

The three classic games available are: Twisted Metal, Warhawk, and Destruction Derby. The promotion is on the PS3, and requires a virtual tour of the PS4 to gain access to the games.

Once accessed, gamers will interact with an oversized PS Vita, and go on a "Quest for Greatness," scavenger hunt where 13 special cards are hidden in various virtual objects.

According to Polygon, the whole process takes about 10 minutes or so as the hunt requires simple puzzle solving and movie references. During the game, PS4 title trailers for Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and DriveClub are played.

Sony is also releasing a PS4 and PS Vita "Ultimate Bundle," and details surfaced online Friday as the holiday season is inching closer.

"We're really excited for Vita as we move into Christmas," Sony senior product manager of Sony Ben Law said to MCV. "We've got a great campaign with key messaging around new releases like Tearaway, the ever-growing game catalogue and the Remote Play service."

bah, tried it out. got 2 of 3 codes and even though TM is what i wanted its not worth the effort right now.

Then don't do it. It really is that easy. But you know what isn't going to help? Complaining about it for absolutely no reason at all whatsoever just for the sake of complaining to a bunch of strangers on the internet.

 
While I appreciate Sony doing this promo, it angers me more than makes me glad. They're giving away games that have been free before, games I already have, from preordering or buying limited editions of PS3 games. They're essentially nullifying the purpose of buying limited editions for bonus content when they later just give it away anyway.
 
Thanks OP, wife is having fun with twisted metal, and destruction derby was the first game I ever played on my PSOne. Haven't tried Hawk yet.

 
I've been wanting to finish Warhawk and Twisted Metal since 1996, since I just had that blue demo disk that had their demos on it.  Now is my chance.  Danks

I spent 10 minutes getting the 3 games, and played each one for less than 10 seconds since they're awful now.  Some things don't age well.  

 
Loved destruction derby, was actually going to buy it.  Will see if it holds up to memory, but will keep my expectations low.

 
So I got all 3 codes.  When I enter any in the redeem codes screen of the store I get an "An error has occurred" message.  Am I doing something wrong here?
