Post Your Black Friday Stories/Hauls/Pics Here!
Lets see here..

I got a used fatty PS2 from gamestop for 60 bucks and it (awesomely) came with an network adapter, 40 gig hard drive and an S-Video cable :D

After that I went to a pawn shop, got a PS2 memory card for 2 bucks and found the following games:

Megaman Legends 2
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Metal Gear Solid (non GH)
Marvel vs Capcom 2 for PS2
and Resident Evil 2

All for 25 bucks, NEW and sealed. I am in heaven!!

OT here. is it hard to find a copy of metal gear solid 2 subsistence or 3?
doesnt MARVEL VS CAPCOM 2 sell for like $200 on ebay?
or at least $70.

MvC2 is 60 or 70 at gamestop (I think).. I found it for 5 bucks, greatest deal I ever got. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

BTW thanks guys for the info.

Everything I wanted, I picked up today.. fuck lines.

Orange Box PC 24.99
Toshiba A3 HD-DVD player $200 w/ 300 and The Bourne Identity + the 5 free form. Though, I don't actually think it's even a Black Friday deal.. Ah well. Shit upconverts sweet, though.

Well, this is my haul:

Didn't really see anything that I wanted video game wise so I focused on buying some DVDs that I have been meaning to get.
Fry's in Burbank. If I remember correctly, they had a ton.
Thanks a lot. Ended up getting one from Newegg, though, because shipping to the east coast was cheaper. fucking NYC and its lack of Fry's...
Saw a line forming at Best Buy in Savannah at noon on Thursday.

The plan was to hit TRU first to get a Zune, but I decided I'd stick with Apple. Went to Staples at about 6:05 and it was a disaster. Couldn't believe that many people wanted shit at Staples. Missed out on the laptop cooler, but scored a 2GB MSPD for $17.

Went to Best Buy about 10 until 7, and it was awesome. Store laid out well, had plenty of things I wanted, and it was a pleasant experience.

Big props to Best Buy.
I went to the same place. Glad to know there is another cag in the area :D

Best Buy was jammed pack, but check-out was run like clockwork. Tons of people in line yet I was in & out of the registers in a matter of minutes. Circuit City was the complete opposite, over an hour for the registers. Didn't bother to go to Wal-Mart in the morning. I waited until the evening and they still plenty of cheap DVDs left over.

Scored Prison Break: Seasons 1 & 2 and Bones: Season 2 at Fry's on Saturday for 14.99 each. Great weekend for shopping.
wow that Westinghouse is a lot cheaper then last years BB BF deal.

LCD monitors are sure dropping faster then expected. Makes me think a 30 some inch LCD PC monitor for under 500 bucks will be coming out way sometime next year. Now that's gonna be fucking crazy.

It's $33 cheaper and it's not the same model.

Made out pretty well last week since it was my birthday too.

-The 5 Blurays were free from Sony, but they can't even do the free promotion right since none of those were my picks!! So now I have 5 free crappy Bluray.

-One MP Starscream and movie OP are for a friend.

-$10 Bully is a great deal, so is $20 Stuntman/GRAW 2

-Getting Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence LE for free is even better from Gamestop's B2G1F on preown games (I had to pay for Growlanser LE and Grim Grimoire)

-Rock Band is a combined Birthday gift from various GCs.

I got a loaf of bread and peanut butter at Giant. That was after I went to Circuit City only to find they sold out of all the good stuff.. I knew I shouldn't have went.. at 5PM. :D

Waited outside Target at 3 AM to pick up some stuff. Most notably, Call of Duty 4 ($48) and Uncharted ($28 ; The Target had no NBA2K8 in stock so they substituted Uncharted or Heavenly Sword for it) for the PS3.

Jogged down to Best Buy and bought South Park Season 9 ($15), Sandisk MS Pro Duo 2GB ($20) and a Razer Deathadder Mouse. ($45 after 10% print out coupon)

Decent haul but was totally not worth waking up that early. A lesson learned for my first Black Friday experience. Perhaps if the deals were as good as previous years...

Will have pics up soon.

LOL, I didn't do as well as you guys but I did get a Halo 3 ed 360 +$60 GC
Lucky for me the Chattanooga's BB didn't get the memo about no price matches so I got Red Steel for $5 after reward cert and PM; CC price matched Gun @ $5 (both are xmas gifts for family members) I didn't get call of Juarez though *sniff* I wanted that for me!

Hey...
Took advantage of the buy 2 get 1 free at EB + 10% from Edge Card:
Gears of War: $37
Dead Rising: $23
Crackdown: Free

Total $60.00 :D
Just got a 360 2-3 months ago and am trying to play catch up

Also went over to Circuit City and snagged:
$9.99 Bully

I'm happy, and have some games to play over Christmas Break :bouncy:

Did all my shopping at Radio Shack.

Brown Zune 30 gb /w free leather case: $99
Zune travel pack: $30
A wireless USB adapter: $30
Nyko charge and play kit for 360: $10

Best part, they had about 20 people when I got there and there was only 1 Zune avaliable. Everyone was going for stuff like GPS and bluetooth headsets while I went straight for the Zune. As I was paying, I heard tons of people asking where the Zune was.

Actually as long as they were not advertised as door busters and were good as a 2 day sale all was good on pricematching at other stores..

I did snag a copy of Call of Juarez for $10 for my brother for Xmas but I did not find Bully which I wanted.. found a copy of Red Steel laying in a random spot at CC and was walking around with it and some guy was nagging me about where it was and if there was more so I just gave that to him lol (going to either hate it if he is playing it or flip it) I did manage to find a copy of Guilty Gear (PSP) that was $5 but with mola being tight and not having a PSP yet I reluctantly put it down....
Most of my money was spent on Xmas gifts for my daughter and so far her big one was that Fisher Price Smart Cycle she is asking santa for..

Other than that no real huge deals or items that I really wanted to run out and get.. Was going to get that 3pack for $10 PS2 games TRU was selling (matrix, king kong, the plan) but it was 12:10pm and they firmly told me the sale ended at noon lol $10 was ok for those 3 but $20 was to much...

I had a horrible time with CC on black friday. i waited in line at 9:45 at night on thursday I was like the 40th person in line. When the store opened I was inside in less than a minute everyone else headed towards the HDTV's and Laptops I went for the games I got there with only one other person over there I asked the stores clerk if they had any copies of Super Mario Galaxy in she told me no. I asked why they were out? They had been only open for a 1 minute she said that they only had 2 copies in the whole store and they sold out so I questioned why they only had 2 copes in she said thats just how it is. So I ended up leaving with out Super Mario Galaxy. I came back the next day and they had 12 copies in I asked them to ring it up and they told me it was $50 that the $35 was only a 5 hour sale for Friday I said but you only had 2 copies in yesterday and they told me there was nothing they could do so I ended up leaving empty handed again. Man I dont know if I will ever shop at CC again.

But I did end up with some stuff from GW they had a 50% off sale.

Sega Saturn 2 controllers and one game (virtua cop) $15
Wipe Out (Sega Saturn) $3
Legend of Zelda: LttP (snes) $9
Donkey Kong Country (snes) $5.50
Donkey Kong Country 2 (snes) $5.50
Spy vs Spy (nes) $2.50
Earth Worm Jim (genesis) $2.
2 sports games for the SNES complete in box for $5
Tomb Raider (sega saturn) $7

So despite CC trying so hard to make my weekend a bad one I ended up with some decent deals.

I spent way too much but hey that is what blackfriday is a ll about.

well, You want some bad stories?

Here's one, the conversation I had with a Best Buy employee standing around in the crowd at the Phone and MP3 player section doing nothing, and i think maybe this guy can help me out.

Me: Hey do you guys have the new zunes?
BB EP: New what?
Me: Y'know the new zunes with the touch pad and its a bit smaller and all that?
BB: OH! no you dont want that, you should get an ipod touch, they're way better
Me: Im looking for a Zune
BB: No man get a Ipod touch, thats what you want
Me: ........Uhmm...Im pretty sure i want a zune
BB: Look do you want me to help you or not?
Me: yeah i want you to help me find what im looking for!
BB: Well let me show some of the Ipod models
Me: LISTEN TO ME! Im looking for a Zune! Not a fucking Ipod!
BB: What do you want man?

BB: No.......

I would have called him a fuck-tard. You should have followed him and say "HEY I AM TALKING TO YOU BOY!"... If you had gotten a manager, you could have gotten the guy in deep shit for refusing to help you.

I got what i wanted...although bully woulda been nice.

if you want horror stories you should have seen what i was up against.

when i was at CC i went to the Wii section to see if Red Steel was available. The isle was empty and right when i was about to leave...8 200+ pound grandmas bust in and fight over the the 3.99 steering wheel and the 2.99 wii skin. I got the shit kicked outta me. They were all shoving and pushing and yelling at each other...after getting out of that rape fest i hit the dvd bin and got elbowed anderson silva style..in the back of the head. Fought for my dvds and got in line to get my casio. Waited in there for an hour and then i see an old lady complaining to the employee that she should be first in line since she was there at 5:05. Apparently she got 3 cheap digi camcorders but didnt want to wait in line for them and bounced..when the employees got the cameras to her..she was already out and about. I was second in line while the bitchfest happend and then the employee puts me on the spot and says if its ok that she cuts infront of me. she then gives me her sob story and the rest of the line isnt buying it. she left without her cameras and i got my shit and got out. im sticking to online next time.

not many people can say they were ass raped by 8 200+ pound grandmothers.

Couldn't decide whether to go to CC or BB for Black Friday. Ended up braving the crowd at CC because they had more games and DVDs I wanted. BB had a laptop that I needed for work (the Doorbuster Sony one) but I thought fat chance I'll stand in that line for only like 10 of em. Found out later that some dude was standing at our BB line from late Wednesday night! Crazy.

We get to CC at around 4:30 AM BF and the line was already almost 200 people long. I get in line and wait and decide where to go first. The store wasn't laid out too well, and no matter where you turned you got stuck in a crowd. Opening comes around and everyone scatters like cattle. The cheapie laptop sells in record time, so does the Samsung 50'' TV. I make a sprint to go grab Call of Juarez. None. Notice an open case along the way to the Wii games and notice a copy of Super Mario Galaxy left. I snag it right away! Funny because the people that sprint past me grab the last copies of Red Steel. Boy will they be disappointed later. I figure of the 2 choices Galaxy was the better one. I had a fun time the rest of the time looking for all the DVDs I wanted (it's the only time of year I buy DVDs). Most people were looking in bins but I managed to snag some of the more hard to find movies in the actual movie aisles. Spent about $150. Here's most of my haul:

Super Mario Galaxy (great game) $34
Bee Gees Greatest (love them for some reason) $5.99
High School Musical 2 CD (for the little one) $6.99
Knocked Up (unrated and with the free coasters) $8.99
Surf's Up (with extra CC dvd exclusive) $8.99
Night at the Museum $8.99
Holiday (for the gf) $5.99
Stomp the Yard $5.99
Borat $5.99
Rocky Balboa $5.99
The Illusionist $5.99
Smokin Aces $5.99
The Pursuit of Happyness $5.99
Gridiron Gang (with extra CC dvd exclusive) $5.99
Assault on Precinth 13 $3.99
Employee of the Month $3.99
Crank $3.99
Miami Vice $3.99
Scary Movie 4 $2.99

I went straight home at around 8 AM. But somehow or another we ended up at BB at around 12 PM. It was still somewhat busy. Wasn't expecting anything at all left and I was almost right. I wanted the Sony laptop but of course I knew it was gone. But....as soon as I step in the door some guy from Geek Squad jumps up on the counter and yells, "Folks, we have an extra 2 HP laptops left on the BF special! Anyone interested?" I instantly put my hands up for one and he calls me over to ring up. I didn't even see this HP laptop in the BB BF ad (all the way in the back)...I was too focused on the Sony. The BB rep said that this was their 2nd or 3rd best bundle buy for the day. The rep said he prefered the HP over the Sony anyway since it looks a lot nicer and comes with a remote that runs your DVD player and stores in the Express slot. But both run about the same hardware wise. I got lucky! I ended up getting the HP laptop bundle for $549.99. I couldn't get just the computer since the HP laptop already had antivirus and restore programs installed on them (restore wasn't included in the bundle but was given to free me anyway). The good thing though is that I got the upgraded HP dv6607nr computer instead of the HP dv6407nr computer that came with the bundle. Original price on the HP laptop was $699 when it was rung up (not $649 like the ad said). Not half bad! Here's my haul, I did great considering it was after 12 PM and my bundle was orginally priced at over $1000:

HP DV6607nr laptop bundle (the Epson all in 1 printer is sweet) $549.99
2GB PNY DDR2 laptop memory $54.99
Black & Decker Dustbuster (last sale one) $8.99

Too bad no Gun for Xbox 360 were left. I spent more than I wanted but ended up with a great deal day! Yay for being a CAG!!!! Actually....my gf calls me a CA everything.....

There was a crowd of over 1500 people at best buy and thats just the line to the cash register, trying to find that guy and get him to come along with a manager would have been more than a miracle, He absolutley refused to help me at all find what I wanted! instead tried to sell me something else.

Well it was a useless attempt anyway, I found out the New zune 80's were Delayed till the first week of december, everything else is a pre-order

Hey question for you all anyone buy some of the BF games from bestbuys website and end up having the purchases refunded but still get the product because that just happened to me and my purchase.

I picked up 2 42 inch Olevia LCD HDTVs from OD for 699AR... I thought it was a great deal, but being that I had no problem picking the 2nd one up for my parents at 8PM on Black Friday, I must have been in the minority:)
