PreOwned Wii U games missing anything?

I know with PS4 games I've got to be careful, but 3DS was always fine to get pre-owned.  But I'm not sure about the Wii U and we're getting that from Santa this year.  Are we going to be missing any DLC codes if we get pre-owned or are we safe?

Technically, I think the only thing you're missing out on are the codes for a free game from Mario Kart 8, but it's too late for that for ANYONE (new or used)

Aslong as you're not wanting the club nintendo codes. That can be 50/50 depending on if it's been used.

Unless the game is pretty old, you are not saving too much money buying used.

Well I hate badly damaged disks. I will buy used disc from goodwill for 7 or less only if they are I'm good shape. I usually wait buy one get 40 percent off or buy 2 get one free. I'm just learning price match but I'm good on games right now.
