Some of you may know that I recently bought a used copy of Keio Flying Squadron from eStarland. I received it in very poor condition, the disc was scratched up, the manual's cover was detatched from the staples, had rental stickers on it, and was folded in half. I chalked this up as an abberation, since eStarland almost always sends their games in excellent condition.
I sent them an RMA request and mailed the item back. They sent me an email stating that they will not accept the return, since they don't believe that this was the same item they sent out. I can understand why they would think so, but its not so farfetched that one of their employees was lazy about inspecting the item, which is what probably happened.
I politely expressed my disappointment, and kindly asked if there were a way to resolve the situation. I also stated that I would file a complaint with my credit card company if they refused to replace or refund the item, which was absolutely not in the condition advertised.
If this were a cheap item, I probably wouldn't have even bothered returning it. But, I paid $85+shipping for this, I'm not about to eat that cost because a lazy employee failed to do more than open the case when inspecting the item.
Has anyone else had any recent problems with eStarland? They've been excellent in every possible way until my last couple of orders. I was going to make a fairly large purchase with them in the next couple of weeks, not anymore.
EDIT:
Problem resolved, finally. I have no current complaints.
