Problem with the Sims 2!

The download is 82% done, but something is holding it up. The file TSdata/Res/Sound/Build.package cannot be copied or something, and it says "Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?" What should I do? I've retried multiple times.

bad disc? Which version ? There is like a bazillion of them!

I have the original 2 dvd SE version that came out during launch.
