Not sure if this was already mentioned, and for those who don't know, PS Plus members will no longer get any free PS Plus games for the Vita (nor the PS3) after March 8, 2019.

Got an email from PlayStation yesterday detailing such.

I wonder what made them decide to do the cut... I can't imagine them losing revenue from giving free PS3 and Vita games.

The article did mention that MAYBE we would get highly quality PS4 games to make up for the loss, but I'm not sure I have too much faith in that. Who gets to decide what is "quality" or not? Sales? Consumer reviews? Not so sure

It's most likely the end of development for physical Vita games and then the end of production for Vita systems in Japan.  And didn't PS3 systems production end a while ago too?  Marketing-wise, I'm guessing that it would make more sense to spend money on acquiring PS4 games to tout as Plus games rather than for systems that aren't selling.

I for one, just hope that it doesn't mean that PS3 and Vita games disappear during weekly and flash sales.  They have been diminishing, which has sacred me, but honestly, CAG made me so backlogged that who knows if I'll ever play all of the games I buy before my own end.

I'm still waiting for Mass Effect 3 DLC on PS3 to go on sale...

Is there a vita card case that holds a large amount of them? I’m only finding the 18 in 1 cases from China. I don’t need the memory card storage either. Any leads would be helpful.

https://www.amazon.com/Butterfox-Storage-Holder-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B07146988L/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1544338006&sr=8-3&keywords=3ds+game+case

I used to use this myself, but the Vita collection got larger and I decided to keep them in the cases. They do fit securely in it, as it is elastic on each slot, very snug. In the Switch slots, they fit perfect, but the 48 3DS slots have wasted room since 3DS carts are wider than Vita/Switch carts, but allows you to put 2 games per slot. If they made a variant that was all Switch slots, it would be better for Vita.

I also came across this recently. Not sure how I feel about it being foam, but if you take care of it, it should last. The highest capacity I've seen. If I ever stop displaying my Vita collection and want easy access to the games, this might be the solution I go for.

I currently use this for my Switch games (it reminded me of the old Club Nintendo 18 slot 3DS cases.) I can confirm the Vita games fit securely in this as well. Just get some blank Switch cases (I get them form my local Gamestop, they hook me up here and there,) and make your own artwork using one of the many templates online!

Hope this helps!

Any news on that physical release of The Binding of Isaac? It's getting near the endgame time for the Vita and the game still hasn't released...

Oh yeah, I completely forgot that was getting a release. I don't think I've seen any info since it was first mentioned it was a getting a physical release.

Not seen any news on it yet. They've still got a full three months before production ends, and even LRG has said they may have games produced and not put them up for sale until after March. This game could be going that same route.

Yep and a couple Jak Daxter Collector's editions have already sold for $460+ on the bay. Pretty crazy is an understatement.

That much that fast on stuff like this is often the seller on another account bidding it up that high to manipulate "last sold for" price trend history to get people to flip out about it and panic. Then when he "agrees" with him/herself to cancel the order and relist and gets no fees, and someone thinks they are getting a deal when it's relisted at $400.
Was thinking the same... I don't have a whole lot of faith in humanity but even I'd like to believe no one out there would be THAT stupid to pay that kind of money.

And without much time passing, The Longest 5 Minutes sold out before even I could get to order a copy. Hopefully the rumors that GameStop and/or NISA Store will have reserved stock for their own pre-orders of the games will turn out to be true. Penny Punching Princess is still available at present moment.: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L91T1MS

What is the other NIS game getting a physical Vita release?
@Darshminder Got it.

I'm pretty sure it's The Lost Child.
Correct! And just like with what just happened with "The Longest 5 Minutes", the Collector's Edition for "The Lost Child" sold out on pre-order in a single day back on November 7th.:
https://store.nisamerica.com/games/psvita/the-lost-child-limited-edition-ps-vita

NISA Apparently did not anticipate that level of demand for Vita games to still exist what with the crappy Switch now on the market, so they shuffled their planned CE (Collector's Edition) to SE (Standard Edition) production number ratios around and made additional quantity of the CE available for pre-order the following day, November 8th. Those additional pre-order CE's lasted all of a couple hours. Fast forward to yesterday, Monday (Who in their right mind opens pre-orders on a Monday?!) and with no announcement I could find anywhere "The Longest 5 Minutes" and "Penny Punching Princess" both magically appeared up for pre-order on Amazon with zero fanfare from NISA what-so-ever.

Literally, no announcement e-mails, no tweets on Twitter, not a peep out of the NISA Prinnies. But someone spotted the new pre-orders on Amazon, tweeted them out to the collective Vita hoard on Twitter and next thing you knew there was a fury of tweets during a ten minute period from every Vita enthusiast and his cousin that these two games had suddenly appeared on Amazon for pre-order. I was sadly in the middle of doing something in the house and finally after a while got freed up to revue my pathetic finances, and by the time I had juggled my finances and determined I could indeed buy the two games, The Longest 5 Minutes had already sold out. <sigh> :whistle2:(

I knew The Lost Child sold out on NISA, but this is the first time I heard about The Longest Five Minutes even being available. I'm not sure I've seen this many games sell so quickly on NISA before... The demand seems to be pretty high!!!

Seems odd that The Longest 5 Minutes would sell out so fast at Amazon while Penny Punching Princess remains in stock. You would think they would get a similar print run for each title. There can't possibly be something in The Longest 5 Minutes that is that much more appetizing than Penny Punching Princess, can there be? Its because of this I believe that Amazon will list more copies of The Longest 5 Minutes before launch.

I personally don't like PPP on switch the calculator is pretty bad with the big screen for reaching I feel the vita is just right.

pff.. sony is really leaving money on the table from discontinuing vita cart production.
I can't imagine they are making that much profit on all these micro print run niche games. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out they are barely breaking even on the physical production side of things.

Yeah. Some of LRG's lower print runs had to pay a fee to break their "minimum order quantity" which I'm guessing translates to "breakeven point". I don't know what that is (Sony usually doesn't publicize that info) but I'm guessing it's probably 1.5k-2k.

I am very glad I got orders in for both yesterday. I saw this as I was about to leave work.

sad that i missed lost child. didn't even realize that had went up. guess i'll keep an eye on ebay. put one in for ppp just in case i decide i do want it. missed longest 5 minutes, but i'm kinda iffy on if i really need it after actually playing it.

Uggg I missed these.....honestly the games just look kind of aight, but these are pretty much the last physicals we will get. Ugg....please post if lost child comes back.

The problem is with them selling on Amazon without a per account order limit. It doesn't charge your CC until shipment, so they can wait to find out if more get printed. Damn scalpers - hopefully most of them cancel their orders.

On a side note, I received my Iffy store order. The MeiQ CE also came with the mousepad, which I was not expecting. Just wanted to let people know that haven’t received theirs yet!

That was the whole reason we ordered these things. I just wish the lumps were a little more centered.

any interest in any of these sealed Vita games:

Touch My Katamari

Freedoim Wars

LittleBigPlanet

Exist Archive

Playstation All Stars Battle Royale

Little Deviants

Sly Cooper Thieves in Time

Now they're Tweeitng about this? How many hours have passed already? Over a day for PPP! And still not said anything about TL5M.

Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star - Noble Phantasm Edition (Vita) is down to $14.99 new at Gamestop. Amazon may eventually match it.

They matched it but it sold out fast. Wasn't able to buy it in time. For some reason when I ordered it through GameStop I got free no hurry shipping. Same thing happened when I ordered god of war and L.A. Noire separately on Black Friday. Is this a thing or a glitch?

This isn't specifically a game case, but I've used a Butterfox carrying case for my slim Vita for several years, it's a well-made, sturdy nylon case with two compartments, one for the Vita and one for 10 games plus extra. Quality is excellent:

I mentioned this because I just saw a Butterfox game case for DS/3DS games that also seems to work for Vita games (see one of the reviews by a customer who used it for Vita games), and holds 68:

Yes, that seems to be the only option. I won't be traveling with all of these games... I may just put in a large order of the plastic, vita-specific cases on eBay from China.

I have a bunch of tiny plastic snap cases, each one holds a single Vita cartridge. I use them on all my games that are actively being used to protect the cartridge. They slip easily into the pockets of the Butterfox case and provide extra protection. Bought them from Amazon a long time ago, don't see them there anymore. But they should be on eBay or AliExpress.

Four stores in my area have it in stock, and I'm trying really hard to justify not buying it again (I have the PS4 Noble Phantasm, and a regular Vita copy).

The Switch version is also under $20 new at GS, and includes all of the DLC from the PSV/PS4 versions btw.

Rather seems to be a repeat of their Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale, but still not bad prices.
