Okay, I know my PS2 outputs progressive scan/480p video.
I have a set of component cables I've been using, even without using the 480p.
How do I use the progressive scan? For my DVD player and cable box, I have the video run through to my HD input on my TV, and the DVD player and cable box output in such a fashion that everything is visible on the HD input, even if the content isn't progressive scan [Dora the Explorer on the cable box, old TV shows from the dvd player.]
How does it work with thePS2? Do I have to plug it in, turn it on, select Progressive scan, then it's visible? If so, that seems somewhat stupid--you're always having to change inputs on your tv, or from your PS2. If that's what it takes, I'll just plug it back into the the regular RCA jacks because that's a pain.
Am I missing something? I know there aren't a whole lot of progressive scan pS2 games, but I'd like to take advantage of those that are, and I'd like to have the Ps2 making only one connection to the TV.
