PS3/360 Wolfenstein $15.99 and 007 Bloodstone $19.99 shipped (Newegg)

I'll go out on a limb and ask, How's Bloodstone?

News of this games are hard to come by, anyone out there with a solid personal review?

I think Wolfenstein is worth the money, I picked it up on a Target clearance a few months ago and had a good 15-20 hours of fun with it.

Wolfenstein is amusing enough to be worth $15, but if you are an achievement/trophy whore then stay away, coz 50% are for online, which is dead.

If you played Bourne Conspiracy and liked it and if you like james bond, I think blood stone is a worthy purchase. It's like Bourne combined with Splinter Cell conviction but the length is ~5-6 hrs (I think I beat the single player in 2-3 sittings). It's decently "polished" using the Bond license. Biggest gripes are the length and sometimes the graphics aren't great.

that's not a bad price for wolfenstein....already bought the game from gamefly some time back....as far as 007 bloodstone now we're tallking.....at least it's about $20 but i can wait for it to go lower.

Which version of Bloodstone is better 360 or PS 3 ? Any difference?
I am fan of James bond and want to buy it but am not sure which version.

Still hoping I can find Blood Stone for $10 at some point. I loved the first bond on PS3 partly because I got the "special" package with a free t shirt for $10 from the Best Buy sale a couple years back. Fun game for $10, but hearing how short Blood Stone is, I cant see paying more than $10 for it now. Call me spoiled... :)

Bond looks pretty promising. Giant Bomb's review did bring up one odd problem with the game's design:
Like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Blood Stone has an alternate vision mode that shows you your next waypoint, scannable intel items, and the location and current status of any nearby enemies. Seeing your enemies through walls and knowing if they're alert or not is a key piece of info that makes it worth keeping this vision mode on almost all the time. The catch is that the screen gets a layer of static over it when you're in this mode, which can be a little annoying. Also, the in-game conceit for this ability is Bond's cell phone, so whenever you have it enabled, Bond holds his gun in one hand and lazily gazes at his cell phone in the other. It's like he's checking into Foursquare or staring at his Twitter feed in the middle of a firefight or something. It's hardly game-breaking, but it's definitely goofy.
Bloodstone is a pretty OK game. It never goes past being OK. And eventually, stuff like the driving sequences just get old.

It's nice seeing Daniel Craig though, HES MY HERO.

Bloodstone is not worth the DVD it is burned on.

if you're a fan of james bond, it's great and enjoyable.

if not, i would think there's better choices of it's type out there.

best parts- it does feel like a bond experience. music, story, voice-acting are all bond-like so you feel like it's a movie fill-in since they didn't release one last year due to MGM's financial troubles.

worst parts- oddly enough the driving sequences, to me, are the worst part. weird since the developers are behind the project gotham racing series and blur. and the graphics are bleh. some nice details here and there but overall, graphics are muddy.

i do wish i was able to grab it at this deal though. i grabbed it when best buy had it for $24.99 a couple weeks ago using a $5 reward certificate. that's now $5 i could've used on something else at best buy.

ps- if you're a trophy hunter/whore/whatever it's called, you may wanna steer clear from this game. online is fairly dead and there's online trophies that seem difficult and time-consuming.
do i enjoy trophies? to a certain extent, yes (as you can see at my signature card). but i also like using my time for other things, not online grinding/boosting for trophies.

Well put together and coherent, along with many other people who answered! thanks, will wait for the $10 mark or just a passing rental. Cheers

I loved Wolfenstein, that was a fun platinum. Great campaign as well.

I love Bond games and I hated Blood Stone. The entire thing felt soulless and designed by committee and ended with a cliche that would have seemed dumb by pre-Casino Royale reboot standards, and is even dumber now. The gameplay itself just lacked the charm or quality of better third person shooters or the better Bond games.

Wolfenstein, however, was one of my pleasant surprises. It was great fun SP-wise, though I really think the mechanics of the game could have and should have been designed for health bar and medkits rather than regen health. The boss battles seem to be made by people more comfortable with the former than the latter anyway. That said, quality shooting action.

Is it as good as the PS2 James Bond games were? I loved those especially Everything or Nothing, and Nightfire. Also is the online community for Bloodstone still active?

honestly... no.
that's not to say it's a HORRIBLE game (i've played worse) but i wouldn't say it's as good as the games you've listed.
comparable to everything or nothing (since both are third person shooters), i'd give the nod to EoN.

online community is VERY small. i would think you wouldn't have a trouble finding a game for each of the game modes online. problem is, those probably will be the ONLY games online.
and from my experience, it seems like most people just boost in the game for the online trophies. that would explain why i got kicked out so often when trying to join a random game.

Online trophies were a huge grind. Only one worse I've experienced so far is Red Dead Redemption. Still havent gotten to level 50.

Single player in Wolfenstein was actually a lot of fun. Expect to buy it just for that because the multiplayer is probably a ghost town at this point.

Think I am going to wait for a sub $15 for Bloodstone. I really enjoyed 007 QoS.
