I searched and couldnt find any other thread with it and thought that some people might want to jump in on this. I myself am on the fence with buying it as there is a new one coming out this year. Will there be a decent community still on mw3 after cod2012 comes out?

New one doesn't come out for 8 months. I'm sure if you play it you'll get your money's worth. Most servers stay pretty live but cod is a popular game that jumps ship almost as much as sports games. However, I think 8 solid months of online play should get your $40 bucks back.

I played PS3 Black Ops last night at 2 AM MST and there were 200,000 people playing. Not too bad. So you should be fine with the online community in the newer MW3. I recently sold my MW3 because I just did not like the maps in it.

Theres still fun to be had playing MW2 so if you get MW3 now there will be people playing long after 2012 comes out.
