Hello,

What are the benefits of having a PSP when dealing with a PS3?

I did some searching, but most of the info seemed outdated. I found someone willing to take my Wii crap off my hands for $300, so I think I will pick up a PS3 slim and get in on some of the PS3 exclusives finally.

If the PSP is actually useful or important to the PS3, I will keep it. Otherwise, I think I will sell it off to pick up a few games.

Thanks in advance

Streaming video from PS3 to PSP can be handy. I sometimes watch a couple episodes of House in bed, stream it from PS3. Nice because PSP doesn't do DivX, but PS3 does, and you don't have to store video on PSP.

Remote play with some games. Pixel junk monsters is the only one I have played. I read that you could use it as the rearview mirror on GT5, but not sure about that.

I also used to take PSP to work with me on Thursdays so that I could start downloading PS3 demos on PS3 (at home) from work.

Having said that I don't use the connectivity that much anymore. Not a reason to get a PSP, but a nice added bonus. IMHO.
