ps3 question

recently purchased a new 160gb slim ps3 and i noticed that every time i take a disc out of the system there is a thin line of dust or grime on on opposite sides of the disc. the line runs from one side of the disc straight thru the middle and down the other side. at first i thott they were scratches but after taking a cloth to it, the line is gone.

but after i play the game for a extended time in the system again the line is there again on the disc

any clue what this is, thx

It might be dust on the outside of the ps3(near the loading slot) that gathers on the disc when it is ejected?

Try buying a Blu-ray Lens cleaner. It should probably work at cleaning off the dust.
It's basically a disc you insert onto the ps3, while it's on.

It's just dust, make sure to clean the front of the PS3 with a duster every now and then if it bothers you so much.
