PS3 Sound Question, Help!

Miada

CAGiversary!
Hopefully someone here can help me with this. Recently I've moved my PS3 to the other side of my TV to make room for my PS4. It's still hooked up to the one HDTV I have. I have my PS3 hooked up via HDMI with an optical port from a soundbar to the TV. Everything works fine except I've noticed in the past few weeks that if I launch a game, physical or digital, the sound does not work. The sound works fine with Blu-Rays and when I'm on the XMB, but once I launch into a game, it goes away. To get it to come back, I have to switch my input back to TV, and then back to HDMI. I've tried messing with the audio output settings, but nothing has worked. Does anyone know a resolution to this? It just started happening around the same time I moved everything over, and I haven't changed any settings that I'm aware of, so I have no idea why it's doing this. Thank you!
