Enemy Within adds a LOT to the game. I wouldn't have been able to maintain interest in the vanilla version, and think EW is definitely worth the $15.

im on the fence on whether that is really worth it, the new content seems pretty interesting, and there is a ton, but im assuming the game itself is mostly the same.

im on the fence on whether that is really worth it, the new content seems pretty interesting, and there is a ton, but im assuming the game itself is mostly the same.

The genetics mods, new skills, and other tweaks add a ton to the way the combat plays, IMO. Additionally the Exalt stuff gives you a few additional types of random encounters, which really do a lot to add variety to the combat scenarios which are quite repetitive in base, plus an additional set of story encounters and a massive Exalt invasion of your XCOM base. I'm not sure if it would be worth picking up EW if you have already played EU and don't feel a strong need to go back, but I think it's definitely a game-changer if you're interested in it at all, and would absolutely recommend getting EW if you haven't played EU at all yet.

xcom enemy within is totally worth $14. I'm gonna trade in my copy at bestbuy for 15ish just so i can keep the case but still have it on my ps3 always. Such a great game, all trophies but the beat on super hard. I loved the original as ps+ freebie also. Support them so they will make more. Also guess I'm gonna bite on $20 for ragnarok odd ace cuz i can trade in retail for 22 amazon and then play co op with myself. lol. i dont know sony, all my money! probly bite on txk and steamworld dig also. shut up and take my money.

I couldn't get into it on ps3 at all, but I enjoyed it on the Vita. But like I said it only took 2-3 hours tops.

lol, I only looked up 2 levels I think, most were not hard at all. And if you use the analog to look around before you start each level, you can see the trophy squares you gotta get (or whatever they're called). If you miss them and go back for them, it's glitched on people supposedly, but most say you have to finish the level out if you go back to get them and it works out fine. I didn't get them on the first set of levels, but went back and got them and it went fine.

i had my kids play the first levels of thomas was afraid til it got too hard, i only heard some of the voices but thought it was hilarious for colored tetris pieces. Is he serious? That is even more awesome.

also RoF title screens and intro fmvs keep changing on me. This is also awesome.

i played through enemy within and thought it was awesome. I must have been lucky cuz i didn't hit many bugs or freezes. Those mechs were freaking awesome. I ended up with 3 mechs all specd different and 3 gene soldiers all were psi. Doesn't get much more awesome. for a nerd.
