Regular week sale looks lame, but looks Atlus' biweekly sale finally decided to add some of their recent releases, as I am seeing both Raidou Kuzunoha games for $4 each, along with Persona 2, 3, and 4 for the PS1/PS2.

you didn't specify vita to begin with, and you posted at least 8 hours before the store is fully updated. There's no way to be sure of all sales until at least 2pm PST (finalized when the blog updates, they almost always hit 2pm).

Buy 1 get 1 free Corpse Parties seems like a decent deal. I'd get them at this price if I didn't already own them.

Dunno, but I already grabbed it. Regretting picking up DS1 at 9.99 when it came out, kinda, but at the same time I hope the initial sales helped them push out the rest.

I spent regular price on P4 and SMT: Nocturne. But do I regret it? Not for these two RPG gems.

 
I got happy for a second thinking i could get Red dead and Max Payne 3 for 9.99. and then i read that that bundle was actually 29.99. You can get either of those games around 10 bucks online. Crappy deals this week. Sony has really been slacking of late with their deals.

The crimsonland ps+ price is like $5 lower than I hoped for though. Buying tonight.

Debating if I should sell my Devil Summoners and go digital on them. On the plus side, I get to play them on my ps3 rather than on my ps2. Which... actually doesn't really effect me.

 
Anyone know a thing about Ethan Meteor Hunter? Or "That Trivia Game'?

Why do i feel like I remember reading an article on Ethan about how it underperformed and really hurt the developer. Hmm... need to research.

Highlights of the sale...I Am Alive From Dust....just because of the title.

Apparently I own the bundle of NBA Jam/NFL Blitz even though I of course bought them separately.  Nice of Sony to figure that out for me.

I have a nice idea for a sale if they want this 2 for 1 thing.  Buy one get one free but choose any two from a list of several games.

Y'know, like the stores do.

It's a solid idea but it would require building an entire interface for the sale - for 4 different platforms (vita, ps3, ps4, web). Then you'd need to qa all four. Then release concurrent OS patches. And then have the sale. Ultimately, it's easily argued that all that coding/qa time is better spent on other features.

It's the kind of feature some guy in sales or marketing would come up with, but would never, ever get greenlit since too many more important things need to get done. It's not that it's a 'big' or 'complex' feature... it would actually be relatively easy to do. But it still diverts resources from other projects, and that's why it'd likely never get past committee.

Heck, it can be difficult to get mission critical projects past committee sometimes in the companies I've worked for.

Bundles are already supported by the stores, it's a much easier sale for them to orchestrate.

I thought all the old stuff got wiped out at once and replaced with the new stuff under the new PS+ program that started at the beginning of July and now offers 2 games each month for PS3, PS Vita, and PS4.

One of the guys who keep up with the PS+ changes better than I, please correct me if I'm wrong.

 
I'm going to buy the Raidou Kuzunoka games so I can pretend to have SMT fan cred even though the only SMT games I've played are Persona 3 and 4.

Persona 3 and 4 and the later titles are pretty much only SMT titles in name. Except that the first two Persona titles didn't use the SMT title. It was only added on Persona 3 and 4 to increase sales and attention but it seems to have dropped off on the later titles in the series. (Golden, Arena, Ultimax etc.) Gotta have that "Brand Recognition". :D/

I can't wait for Farsight to finish up S3 of Pinball Arcade so I can just get the season bundle instead of paying $5 for each as they gradually get released.

You're right. You'll notice that no one else responded to him because that guy is notorious for asking the most inane questions that take more time to type than finding the answer himself. Don't feed the pigeons.

 
Managed to get a good run in the main survival mode in Crimsonland and I have a score in the Top 20 worldwide for now.

Persona 3 and 4, DDS, Raidou, etc only have the SMT prefix outside of Japan.

I'm liking this game so far. It's not a pretty game with a slick presentation or anything like that, but it's fun and chaotic enough to keep me playing.

Im gonna compete with u, frisky. I'm doing all the quests first. Crimsonland started out as a freeware game back in 2003 btw.

Picking up both Devil Summoner games.

Will pick up the rest of the SMT games I don't already own once they hit that price as well.

Persona = Social Links, Press Turn System (turn based), Demon Fusing, random dungeons

Devil Summoner = Demon Fusing, Action Combat (youtube the easiest way to see what I mean)

Digital Devil Saga = No Demon Fusing, Press Turn System (turn based), fixed dungeons

Nocturne = Demon Fusing, Press Turn System (turn based), fixed dungeons with puzzles

All share strong similarities in demons, spell lists, general combat mechanics.

I play them all on the hardest setting; I'd say Nocturne is by far the hardest. Especially some bosses, and especially one early one that is essentially a brick wall that reads "do not go any further unless you understand the press turn system and elemental weaknesses". He's also probably my favorite sub-boss ever.

Umm what? Im unaware of any new program that started this month. Does this mean that all the other PS+ games that i didn't jump on are now just flat out gone? That would really suck. I usually just checked the 'expiring soon' page then grabbed what was going away if it wasn't something i was super interested in. Did i just miss out on anything i havent downloaded yet then?

Thats really crappy. I checked the free games in the tab at the front of the page for this thread and it still lists a lot of games. Is there any way to access these with a search from the menu now, or is it just gone? If theyre gone they really should have thrown them up in the expiring soon tab

No joke they r wimps for cowtowing to Apples policy of thinking it was unfair to release this on Psn as a bundle from the get-go because it might upset the all mighty IOS crowd because PSN users got it at a discount. What pansies

Nice!  I was waiting for Persona 4 to go on sale.  I imagine it will probably be 50% off sometime in the future, but this price is a good sweet spot form me.

The change is that the games are only available for the month, so if you don't add them to your download list in that timeframe they are gone.

 
Devil Summoner 1/2 are high wants...I have 2 on PS2 already though....I'm cheap so i'll just buy 1. Very cool to see 2 discounted so early considering it came out last month I believe.

Apple's policy just gave them a lame excuse to remove the season pass on all platforms... I think it's Farsight greed more than 'fairness'. Why offer a season pass from day one when they can get $5 per table from diehard/impatient/naive buyers. I still haven't decided whether I'll even give them $30 at the end of season 3 or just be happy with my S1/S2... not impressed with the S3 table selection... if they'd offered the season pass at the start I probably would have made the blind buy.

You can get Ground Zeroes on ps4/xbone for $10 used at Gamestop (U.S.) or $5 after redeeming a $5 off coupon using pur points. As for peace walker, it is on the ps3 hd collection disc with mgs 2 and 3. But it's up to you.

I personally bought the hd collection for mgs 3 a while back and to screw around with the other games on disc and I'll be getting mgs 4 from Gamestop today.

I'm not impressed with the pricing, but I enjoyed both games. $20 is the most I would pay. If you don't like one of them it's going to feel like a waste. Might want to read up on the criticisms of both games and decide if you are okay with that.

Ground Zeroes is short and has little value if you simply play games to beat them. Peace Walker is a bit quirky and some fans of the series didn't like the things it does differently.

They were all listed in the Expiring Soon section before they were taken down.

 
Sooo those FATAL FRAME games... think those are ever going back up in price?

I use my PS3 about as much as I use the VCR I have hooked up in my spare room (Hint: not very often), and I see that FF 1&2 are STILL "on sale" from when I didn't get around to snagging them months ago.
