So I already owned Pinball Arcade and I bought the Season 1 Bundle and downloaded all the tables. Then I let each table update individually, but then the Vita has to update the entire game again to get the changes to take effect. I did that but I still only have access to the first four tables. None of the others will load. What did I do wrong?

Also you will need a bracket to mount the HD I believe. The 12GB PS3 doesn't come with bracket I don't think. Amazon has them for pretty cheap.

Jimbo is right. Here's the official instructions and HDD specifications from Sony on how to replace that 12 GB PS3 hard drive.

Personally, I would go with the most affordable WD drive. Good luck!

It might just be worth it to back up your saves to the cloud, assuming you have PS+, and doing a fresh download of the game and tables.

 
I wish I knew Danganaopa had 'social link' type nonsense.    There's eventually supposed to be murder mysteries to solve but I've spent the last 2 hours of game time dealing with intro / teen drama and I'm about to delete the damn thing even though I spent $20 on it.    I know people love love love their P4G, etc, but it's so not for me.   I've never even played a Professor Layton type game (which it's compared to) so I don't even know if I'll like the eventual gameplay.   I know SMT combat (which I love) wasn't enough to get me through P4G, so I'm concerned.

That said... for anyone who likes Professor Layton and P4G social stuff.... Danganropa (vita) is still on sale for a couple days and is probably right up your alley based on all the praise I've read about it.

 
Quick question:

What time zone does PSN use? Will today "end" at midnight Pacific time or at 9:00 PM Pacific time/midnight Eastern?

Just wondering because I don't wanna miss August's free PS+ games and I'm about to set up my PS4.

They don't update the monthly games till the first Tuesday sometime in the afternoon or evening Eastern time.  So you should be good.  I think the PAX sales end tomorrow afternoon though but not 100% sure on that.  I grabbed The Wolf Among Us season pass today just to be sure.

If you have PS+ account already you can just log into the site and grab everything now though.

The store almost always completes updating at 2pm PST (5pm EST) on Tuesdays. However, 'complete' is key. Sales and ps+ offerings may go down/up earlier in the morning. Get all your stuff done on Monday to be safe, and then log on at 2pm to get Septembers stuff.

Yeah, but the social links give skills (don't actually know what the skills do yet, though) and would be required for the plat. The sleeping through might still happen though.

PAX sale runs through 9/1, so you have all day Monday to buy. Like most of PSN content, the update will happen on Tuesday for new sale stuff.

 
Guys just a reminder to download the free games for August before they expire today. Totally forgot about this until a friend reminded me.

I bought Legend of Dragoon on the flash sale a little while back.  Since then I have purchased a Vita and would like to play it on that but the only options I am seeing are PS3 and PSP.  Is there any way to get this game on the Vita or is it limited to those two systems?

Download it on your PS3 but don't install it. Connect your Vita to the PS3 and transfer the uninstalled file.

I'm watching this SCEJA pre-TGS press conference and there are some interesting things being announced:

-Vita is getting themes that offer a variety of backgrounds for each of your pages plus custom background music.

-Vita is getting the Live From PlayStation app to let you watch PS4 streams on your Vita.

-New Hot Shots Golf game for PS4, which lets you make new courses with friends.

-The Tomorrow Children will be getting an alpha test in October for PS+ and will be starting sign-ups with PS+ users, at least for Japan, on 9/17.

-They announced for PS4 a new Earth Defense Force, a new Bladestorm, Disgaea 5, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Yakuza 0, God Eater 2: Rage Burst (PS4/Vita), One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, a new Mobile Suit Gundam, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, a new Ys (PS4/Vita), Persona 5, and Dragon Quest Heroes (Musou). At least that's it for things I could name.

-PS4 will be getting dynamic themes with FW 2.0 with custom music and even different art for the game list and the home row up top.

Here's confirmation that PS4/Vita themes will be coming to NA PSN.

No problem! The easiest way to secure all the ps+ offerings is to just do it on the PC's web store.

Click 'Games' up top, then 'Playstation Plus' on sidebar, then 'Free Games' on sidebar. Add all to cart, check out. *

Then, on the 'receipt page' after you buy, you can even 'push' games to your consoles/vita. **

Sometimes it'll only let you add 1 version of the game if it's cross buy (since the purchase unlocks all of them) and you'll get an error message about 'eligibility' if you try to add other versions. Sometimes it lets you buy all the cross buy versions separately. Not sure why. I always, always buy the vita version since it will track the pickup as a vita purchase and I love my vita.

**Push notes

This works particularly well with the PS4 in standby, since it'll pretty much instantly receive the push and start downloading/installing and be ready for you to play when you get home. It works well for me on Vita too. I don't use it as much with my ps3, but I think if your ps3 is off it waits till the late night patch check before noticing the push.

ps -- very glad I helped you out on this because I actually forgot to claim a few games this month due to traveling. Whew.

Sorry you had such a bad time with it, but thank you for sharing. This sounds like the type of game I would *love* and I would have never even given it a glance based on the name. Different strokes and all. Cheers.

 
The TGS was actually pretty awesome for me. Lots of stuff to look forward to -- that Dragon's Quest game looked awesome, Disgaea 5, Ys, and lots of other cool stuff. Hope most comes over here.

I picked up Transistor last night due to all the wonderful reviews on here. That said, I'd say both have a decent chance of eventually showing up in ps+ in a year or so. But I wouldn't let that keep you from buying one or both now if you want to play them. It's not the end of the world to directly support a developer that makes games you want.

They'll likely both wind up as PS+ games in the future, but if you see yourself playing them anytime in the near future I wouldn't hesitate to pick one or both of them up.

That's insane. You and news articles mention that it's for Vita, but how would they enforce that? Couldn't PSP owners get in on it as well? It'd be a smart move for Vita for sure.

Edit: Okay, so it's probably not going to be how it sounds like in initial reports. In Japan, there's an app called UMD Passport: you put the UMD into your PSP, link it to your PSN account, and you can buy the digital version at a discounted price. My guess is this new announcement is just those digital copies being free now, so you still need to have those UMDs to link to your account. So, nothing quite amazing and unlikely to be outside of Japan.

I sure hope not (assuming that means we wouldn't get something else instead). I'd much rather Sony spend money on giving me a few newer games than 250 PSP games.

didnt they do the same thing when PSN first came out (maybe it was the psp go) I remember they said send in your UMDS and and gett the digital ones for free

Not necessarily. I was on the Beta, and were able to do just fine solo or when my friends weren't available. Bungie know what they are doing. If they made this game non-user friendly, there's no way they are going to recoup that half a BILLION dollar. So I think you're going to be alright playing by yourself.

This. I made several friends during the Alpha/Beta just by talking and communicating and working well in a team. Then they invite you back later and you meet their friends. Same as I did for Battlefield, CS, and pretty much all other online games. Eventually you'll have a wide network of people you enjoy playing with and when a new game comes out that you want you're sure to have some of them buying it too.

That said, now that I can no longer play with a mic (can only play if son asleep, therefore...) I don't think I'm a particularly good teammate other than I'm used to squad based tactics and will follow a mic leader even if I can't respond.

It used to have a small fee attached, now you can upgrade (sidegrade?) to the digital version for free. It's a nice 'plus' probably meant to encourage Japanese gamers to upgrade to vita. Some US journalists mis-translated that into 250 free games.

Is there actually a discount for Drakenguard 3?  It says 20% discount and I see it on psn weekly deal all the time but the price is 39.99 which is the retail price.  Am I missing something?

I'm using the web store and it still won't work for me. Every time I hit confirm purchase it says an error has occurred and to try again later which I've done a couple times earlier this week.
 
you need to post more info on how you are paying, if its with credit/debit card it sounds like your bank/CC is stopping the charge - address mismatch or fraud detection.  Thats why I keep my PSN account stocked with $100 in eshop credit, never have to worry about that.

if you are paying with PSN credit dunno
