Steamworld Heist isnt a true sequel to Dig, its a different game in the same universe though.

Deadfall Adventures was supposed to come out today but i guess it got delayed.

Yeah, this sale is kind of weak next to the Capcom sale that was on Xbox Live a month ago. Having said that, three dollars for Alpha 3 Max is better than five bucks for the Super NES version of Alpha 2. (Thanks, Nintendo. Really.)

Steamworld dig better on vita or 3ds. Also what has been the cheapest price ever on it anyone know

also worth buying it again if i just got it for the PC for 1 buck
Sorry for double post. I mean, besides the vita's higher resolution screen and trophy support, I believe they perform the same. The PSN version has the added advantage of cross-buy so something to keep in mind for when you pick up a PS4. No cross-save, though, but trophy lists are separate. It's a reeeeally short game so it's not a huge deal.

shit. I really want dragons dogma and okami hd. already beat okami hd when it was free on uk plus but I would prefer a physical copy. but the price is tempting. does anyone know if my uk saves for okami will work on the us digital version? looks like my backlog is gonna get worse

Is Tomb Raider legend on sale and just mispriced.. or what is going on?
I want to get the Tomb Raider Trilogy, but I see it listed separately with 2/3rds of it being under $4 each and Legend being $13.

I like when they have these big sales. Then I can see all the games I have marked as Purchased that I don't even remember buying or getting for free.

Apparently I own Tomb Raider Digital Edition, Just Cause 2, Hitman Absolution, Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry.

Good for me! It's like I just got 5 new free games.  I don't even remember some of these even being games at all, let alone being PS+ offerings.

Nothing (other than the surprise games) for me this week.  I would pay money again for Lara Croft Guardian of Light.  I loved that game.

Dark Arisen sale makes me happy.
What really bugs me.. I want to buy it for real but since I got the "Free PSN" version... I can't.
I don't like how PS+ is pretty much just a rental and want to insure I keep this awesome game.. I am half tempted to buy it physically.

It's a really dopey set-up. There are a lot of things about Sony's systems that get under my skin. Having said that, I would like to own a Playstation 3 again. It'd be great to play Capcom vs. SNK 2 again without hauling out my classic Xbox.

Does anyone have an opinion on this weeks salve of PS1/2 Classics? I have never played the Hitman games or original Tomb Raider games but for pretty much pennies I can add them to the collection. Any thoughts?

hmm is the cheapest the Capcom games ever been?
thinking of Okami HD

can't find the Sale History Google Doc for PSN - anyone got a link?

Is there still no way to purchase games you got with PS+? I'd like to get Dark Arisen.

Personally, I didn't like the Boobs Raider games on the PSOne. I own(ed?) the first game on the Saturn and it's extremely dated... everything's on a grid, making movement stiff and mechanical. I actually like what I played of the Tomb Raider reboot but I can't imagine ever going back to the original trilogy. It's like comparing a paper airplane (which many of the characters resemble) to a 747.

Unlike most other game series, Hitman improved with every iteration (and then took a different direction in absolution). So if you are interested in buying only 1, the quality order is thus:

1.)Hitman 4: Blood Money

2.)Hitman 3: Contracts

3.)Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

Silent Assassin is a bit more on the Metal Gear Solid end of the spectrum, where you are mainly infiltrating remote, heavily armed compounds and military bases to assassinate targets. Blood Money is more on the "murder sandbox" end of the spectrum where your target(s) are at public functions (opera, wedding, birthday party, Mardi Gras, etc.) and you have many, many different methods you can use to directly kill them, pin the deed on someone else, or make it look like an accident. Most of the Blood Money levels are great fun with only a few that aren't that enjoyable to replay (like the mostly linear river boat).

Contracts kinda straddles the line between the two play styles as it features some public space levels like Blood Money, but still features "infiltrate enemy stronghold type missions" like Silent Assassin, this is mainly because it features remakes of levels from the original Hitman 1 game which was only on PC. The hotel level in Contracts is fantastic though, probably one of my top 5 favorite Hitman levels, much better than the hotel/casino level in Blood Money.

No clue, I do know Hitman Contracts is NOW Console exclusive... no PC retailer sells it digitally.
Though you can find a boxed copy.
That was the case for quite awhile, but a little less than a year ago they finally straightened it out and now it is out on steam and other places.

Dammit and I bought the whole collection last year and it wasn't there.

Ah yeah you're right. How do the HD versions hold up?
I have the physical HD collection, and the Hitman games hold up really well. Still had as much fun with what I played of them as I did back on the ps2.

The Tomb Raider ps1 classics are another story. I'm a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series and played them all on ps1 and loved them, but, going back to them now, they're really dated with uber frustrating controls. I'd totally recommend the psp ports of Legend and Anniversary, though. Both of those are great (and Anniversary is a remake of TR1, anyway).

I am ticked off they released the tomb raider anthology as three separate games instead of as a set, then charge just as much as buying a physical if you buy all three (legends is $13, the other two are $4, I can get it for $20 on Amazon)

There almost certainly never will be. You'd need to design the webstore to have this weird third state... not just own/don't own (so 'buy button' or 'greyed out').... but then 'sort of own but can still buy'. So you'd need to show owned, but still have a buy button, and if they put it in their cart warn people extra they already 'own' it... yuck. And no matter what you did you'd have people complaining they accidentally bought it even though they already 'owned' it... it's a customer service nightmare.

I totally understand why people would want it, but it's definitely a 'power user' type feature that would require reworking the webstore for the .01% of people that would make use of it and making the basic interface more complex than I think most webstores would feel comfortable with.

If I do get Just Cause 2, should I get the Ultimate Edition? Probably not, considering it's just extra weapons.

Does anyone know if the Third Strike DLC Pack is actually on sale for $7? I probably will pass nonetheless, considering I already own it on PS2 and Dreamcast. Blergh, no Custom Soundtrack.

Can judge for yourself. http://justcause.wikia.com/wiki/Downloadable_content

Rico's gun is my favorite pistol, the explosive weapons are fun to play around with, and the air propulsion gun (basically a gravity gun that can only push) is quite fun to mess around with.

.01? o_O

I'm surprised more people don't see this as an issue. We can still "purchase" the games when our PS+ lapses though right?

Yes, you can.

While I obviously made up that percentage, I'd argue it's a ridiculously small percentage of people. I'd bet most people aren't even following the weekly sales, let alone complaining they can't buy stuff they can already play for free. We're among the dedicated here on this forum. And even then it only comes up for particularly good sales on ps+ games. It's just way too rare of a situation for Sony to redesign and add buying complexity to all of their stores for. Putting alternate, special case 'buy' buttons on items people can already play for free is just never going to happen, you never want to confuse buyers like that (even if it would be simple for us power users).

Does anybody know if the PS1 games on sale  (Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Gex Enter the Gecko, Pandemonium, Tomb Raiders)  still hold up today? I always wanted to play these games as a kid, but never got a chance due to lack of income. I'm tempted but don't want buy and play them for a few minutes if they are really bad.

Generally speaking, PS1 titles that are 3D like these, look like garbage today. Those that are 2D hold up better. Look up some YouTube videos of these games, and watch them on your TV if possible; that should help you make up your mind.

it sucks. i actually liked remember me and got the platinum, but i still want to own it.thanks for the answer

For those of you who missed it when it was free from PS+, Hyrdophobia Prophecy is on sale on Steam for only 49 cents.

Clearly a game EVERYBODY should have in their library.

I think the game play and the mechanics of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver still hold up today. That is a great game.

It does work on the vita. I had to search a bit to find that it does, so I plan on picking it up later today. You need to transfer it from the PS3 to the Vita in order for it to work. So if you don't have a PS3 you may be out of luck.

I think just having the items revert to the standard buy button when you're no longer PS+ (maybe with a + symbol to symbolize that you got it with Plus) and letting you actually buy them at that point would satisfy a lot of those people.
