You mean tank controls aren't in anymore? I would say the same for Gex though Gex likely controls better....Tomb Raider had horrible controls even back then. They didn't start getting refined until Tomb Raider 2.

Lol...Tomb Raider goes way beyond tank controls. I can still deal with the old Resident Evil tank controls...but early Tomb Raider (at least the first 4 ps1 games from what I remember) has that whole grid-based "spend 15 seconds lining up every jump, make one mistake and spend 10 minutes doing the whole jump/platforming sequence over again" thing going on. I loved the games back in the ps1 days...was one of my favorite series...but I got TR 1-4 to play on my psp/vita, and I found them pretty infuriating. I still love the newer Tomb Raider games, though.

I never played the originals when they came out, but that sounds like my experience of Tomb Raider Anniversary.

 
Tomb Raider Anniversary is damn great. I enjoyed it enough that I'm thinking of picking up the PSP version for $3.xx since it looks pretty faithful to its console counterpart. Still tempted by the oldies though. What I think I'll do is pass on the first - Anniversary is a remake/tribute - and Last Revelation since I have the superior version on Dreamcast. So I'll pick up Anniversary, 2, and 3. Or maybe I'll get them all anyway because I can't resist a good sale.

Ya...Anniversary is probably my favorite Tomb Raider game. And, yes, from what I remember, the psp version is a faithful port and is great.

I'm new to the Vita. So my question might of been answered before years back when the Vita released. But in order for me to play PSP titles that's on PSN. I would have to download them using the PS3 accessing the PSN Store and then transfer the game/s to the Vita using the provided USB cord? Is this correct? Or does this work on some of the PSP games?

So, I may have missed this, but is Soul Legacy transferable from the PS3 to the Vita, or is it not able to be played on the Vita at all?

If not I guess I can wait to play it on the Dreamcast?

There was a store update a few days ago; it may need to install first if you're getting that error upon opening the store. I believe it's under Network -> Download Management.

I'm fairly certain you can already buy games if your sub is up -- this issue only affects current subscribers that can't buy the game they can currently play for free.

Just to be clear, you can buy most PSP games right on your vita's store.

You can also buy them on the webstore and then either on the 'receipt' page or your download list, 'push' them to your vita.

And there are some extra games not on the vita store that can be transferred from ps3.

And then some are not available at all, presumably rotting in licensing hell (or temporarily taken down due to being an 'exploit' game for custom firmware, but those go back up after awhile once the exploit is patched).

I already have the update installed. I was about to complete the purchase but when i was signing into PayPal to add funds i got an error, and i haven't been able to access my cart ever since. I tried the Webstore on my computer, and while it lets me access my cart it doesn't let me add anything to it, i just get another error.

I'm also having errors with it as well, and I did apply the recent update.

I have both PSN credit and my credit card, and get an error message when I have tried adding something to my cart on both the web portal and my PS3.

 
Yeah, there must be some issue with the store tonight. It takes a while for the store to even load on my PS3 / web browser, and once it does I can't add anything to my cart. Hopefully it's a super awesome Flash Sale to make up for the annoyance, but it's probably something more akin to jackanapes trying to DDOS the PSN or something.

 
Mmmm I remember passing on Okami HD last time it was on a sale and I still regret it, but part of me still hopes it comes to plus. For $7 I assume everyone here will say "Yay" to just buying it. Oh how I wish it could be played on the vita :drool:

I played most of it on PS2 and loved it. I always almost buy it... then realize I'll only ever play it on vita so save my money. My only issue with the game is that it feels like is overly long. i think i thought i beat the game like 2 times before realizing it wasn't over yet.

What's the verdict on tomb raider ps4? Wait for a better Black Friday price than $18? Or not buy altogether since its a playstation plus candidate? Just asking my CAG peoples cause I've got love and respect for all of you.

Unless you want to play it now I'd wait. I can see the game either being PS+ or $10 on sale for retail whether it's a black Friday deal or a GameFly sale.

Does anyone want to try out a Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX tournament? We can play it online via Ad-Hoc Party (you'll need a PS3 with a wired connection, and your PSP/Vita will connect to it wirelessly). From what I've read, it's round-robin and supports up to eight players. The CPU reportedly fills out for any remaining slots. I suck at Street Fighter, so here are some free wins.

We can also play Dramatic Battle, which is when you 2v1 the CPU.

@rippn is right. If you're not going to play it now just wait. I can see it hitting this price on disc (or lower) soon if it hasn't already before. Especially through Gamefly.

It's a great game. Fun. Gorgeous on PS4. Decent story that only kinda gets silly towards the end. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I initially made comparisons to Uncharted but it does enough to differentiate itself. Gunplay and combat is better to me. Ironically, Uncharted probably has it beat in the "tomb raiding" department, lol. Not a lot of puzzles if you're expecting that based on its lineage.
 
So, I'm not really big on fighting games. Never been any good at them. Especially Street Fighter. Haven't really played one of those since the SNES. Don't really care for any of them, and probably wouldn't ever feel like playing them if I had them.

Easily my favorite Street Fighter. If I had only one to recommend this would be it. Accessible but complex enough to satisfy diehard SF enthusiasts. If I didn't already own the UMD I'd probably bite, too.

Capcom Vs. SNK 2 is also reeallllly freaking good. I have that on PS2 & Gamecube.

It would have been great if Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara was playable on Vita. I mean hard would it have been to port it over.
