With long, leftover credit, I picked up CvS: 2 and am now considering whether or not to do the same for SF Alpha 3: Max as well. I wish MvC: Origins was included among what Capcom has on sale this week too.

MUD is effectively an arcade racer. You level up your characters, race, do tricks. It doesn't try to be realistic, it tries to be fun.

MotoGP is a sim. It gets good reviews from enthusiasts.

Sim and arcade racers are so different, that alone should tell you which one you want.

It's pretty good, even more so for the added benefit of being portable. I still think it's a shame that they didn't give similar treatment to any of the other X titles, or that it and Powered Up were never ported for home console use.

The voice work for the pirate character was really bad I thought.  You guys really aren't missing all that much by not getting these Resogun human skins.

 
I think I need some input. I'm looking at picking up a bunch of games that are in the flash sale. Cel Damage for sure, Moto GP 3, MUD, and both WRCs. All the Vita versions of course. I know Cel Damage is digital only but the others are available on carts outside of the U.S. I have the WRC 3 cart already so I know what I'm getting there. I think it's worth a double dip to have digital too - especially at that price. I'm wondering if WRC 4 is worth a pickup for $16 though, generally I don't buy anything over $15 digitally but I make the occasional exception when it's something I don't think will drop lower - I feel like the WRCs fall in that category. Should I wait for the next sale and hope for less? I'm in no rush to play it of course, but due to the niche nature of the game I don't know if it'll go on sale again and for less. Also looking for thoughts opinions on MUD and Moto GP 3. Also, are any of these worth the double dip to get the PS3 versions as well (I know Cel Damage is cross buy so besides that one of course..)?

I had no idea about the Resogun skins, shame I haven't played in a while. There's a season pass for the game? That has to be new. I remember seeing the new DLC a while back but no season pass. Glad to hear they have more content coming. That game was a blast. One of the best shmups I've played in the past couple of years (and I've played a LOT of them).

Titan Attacks is pretty good as a Space Invaders clone since it offers a few twists in terms of enemies and the entire upgrade system that makes it a little better than the original Space Invaders. The only real issue I have with it is that it is a straightforward arcade game, so it's basically just a matter of repetition to learn strategies to get further with each run into it. It doesn't really change anything between runs. For the style of game it is, the sale price is great for the time it'll require to beat/master it.

The season pass for Resogun appeared at the same time as the first add-on pack, so it's been there for a while.

I've been thinking of getting a $20 PSN Card and buying CvS2, Okami, and Quantum Conundrum. Also noticed that the GTA games are still on sale. Can someone make a suggestion on whether Vice City or Vice City Stories is the better choice? I've played both games in the past and I always thought Vice City OG was the best game in the series from what I played, but I had part of the stories ending spoiled by a friend.

Maverick Hunter is a great buy that expands upon the original game greatly. They included most of the Easter eggs from the original, I don't remember there being a difficulty select in the original game which they added here, you get to play as Vile who plays totally different from X once you beat the game, an OVA is included also once you beat it, and the 3D models were pretty nice from what I remember.

 
I grabbed Motorstorm Apocalypse and Zombie Driver HD.  I would have grabbed Split/Second but I guess I already own it from PS+ which is always nice to find out.. haha

Wow I just played some races in Motorstorm Apocalypse and it's pretty fun.Even if I've crashed into hundreds of walls because I can't see when everything starts exploding.

Is purchasing PSN points on Gamestops website pretty quick? I have some credit to burn and want to pick up a couple of games during the flash sale.

3D doesn't work on the disc version. It updated to the latest patch 1.01, but I don't see any option on the menu to enable it.

(it's definitely not my TV. I tried the Motorstorm demo and it let me choose between 2d or 3d).

I say no personally. I love that we got it free for ps+, but kinda hate the polygonal models after playing with the sprites.

When they're in stock, yes. Usually get them instantly. But I had some credit to burn the other week and they've been sold out of every denomination, lol. Had to go in-store.

AFAIK There is no disc version of the 3d License, it's the add-on to support 3D.

Basically, if you love RR and have a 3D TV (or might purchase one) it's a good pickup... otherwise, probably safe to pass.

Wait, does this add-on need a disk to function? Not getting a 3D TV anytime soon but if there's no difference between disk and download and it isn't just an add-on, I could justify purchasing it.

It looks like what's on sale is a standalone title... or a 7 GB add-on, which is unlikely.

Kicking off at 12am PT / 5am ET / 8am GMT on Friday, September 26 and running through the weekend to 12am PT / 5am ET / 9am GMT on Monday, September 29, you'll be able to play a heap of titles online without being an active PS Plus subscriber.

Recent titles the company is citing as being available include Destiny,Madden NFL 15, The Last of Us Remastered, Watch Dogs, FIFA 15 and Diablo III, though naturally any title will be available

Debating on Motorstorm Apocalypse digital or wait for the disc version to drop in price.  Played the original Motorstorm, didn't like it.  Enjoyed Motorstorm: Arctic Edge more though.  I was planning to get Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, but this sale has me reconsidering.

Might also get Zombie Driver HD and Cel Damage HD.  I heard Cel Damage HD was a little different than the one released in North America.  Heard it was based on Cel Damage Overdrive from Europe, which one of the differences was that one shot kills was removed in favor of a health bar. 

I have the original Cel Damage on Gamecube.  Might get it anyway just for the crossbuy.

At first glance, you seem to have answered your own question of which one to choose between Vice City and Vice City: Stories. Since both games are ports, (with one being a port of a port) the better choice could be the one that you enjoyed or in this case preferred the most.

No way dude. I bought more Vita-compatible games this weekend than ever before. Do you not like racing games? Need for Speed and Sonic Racing are really great handheld versions. Ridge Racer and WRC 3 have a lot of free DLC content. Cel Damage HD is cross-buy three ways. Modnation is a solid cart racer for only tree-fitty.

And there's the Capcom and Square sales too. I dropped $40 this weekend on Vita games.

I was warned to wait for the PC version of Sonic Transformed, so I did. I DID purchase NFS Most Wanted and it seems all right... I don't like the open world design but the races admittedly can be very intense. Ridge Racer was universally panned, and the rally games weren't much better received by critics, so I skipped them.

Right now my dilemma is whether or not I should buy Capcom vs. SNK 2. I own it for the original Xbox but not the PS2. If I ever get a PS3 again it would be nice to have that as one of my first titles.

The Ridge Racer criticism is overblown. Games with DRM, required Internet connections, or lots of paid DLC like Street Fighter x Tekken are just going to get shit on, but the games are usually pretty good, and Ridge Racer definitely falls into this camp. The actual gameplay is solid and inline with previous RR games, but yeah, the game does only come with five cars and three courses and you have to pay for the rest. They did try to make amends by releasing a ton of music for free - 80 tracks! - so that pushed me over the fence to get the game.

I'd recommend CvS2 because PS2 games rarely go on sale on PSN. If you have an arcade stick or fighter pad from previous PS consoles, you can likely get it working on PS3 via cheap USB adapter on eBay (I use my SF Anniversary controller originally for PS2). One day, your Xbox won't be hooked up or will stop working so you won't have to replace this game. And who knows, maybe future PS systems will be able to play PS2 games like how every PS system now has PS1 compatibility, so for $5, you bought a lifetime copy of the game.

Have they provided a list of supported apps (like Netflix, Amazon, etc.)? Also, i'm wondering about remote control support for this. Is the Dualshock going to be the only was of controlling it? If so, Sony is once again missing the point of some of their device functionality in the living room. There's no remote for the PS4 and so my family uses the Xbox One for Netflix, etc.
