Ok someone please help me understand this.... I haven't been able to install Freedom Cry since the sale went live. I call Sony and after some bulls&@!, they refund me but can't help that I'll miss the sale price. Fine. Then I try to get a replacement ds4 because the damn left grip is tearing. They say I can they can help with that I would just need to pay to ship it to them. I've never dealt with their customer service but that seems a little low to me or is that the norm?

I just did the DS4 replacement and yes, there is no advanced exchange, and yes you have to pay shipping to returns location.

USPS priority mail was $6.65 and i feel sony owes me this money outright as the DS4 clearly had design flaws on the first batch with the left analog stick issues. And yes its crappy customer service. You basically have buy another controller if you want to use your PS4 while you ship the defective Ds4 to them.

I see it as a huge scam.

What makes it worse, the rep admitted that they are aware of the design flaw and the new one no longer had those problems! So wtf should customers have any added expense because of faulty manufacturing? Let alone ,I bought their extended warranty. What ever, it just really irks me.

It's about as likely as anything else. There's no way to know if any specific game is guaranteed to go on sale unless the dev/pub spills the beans early.

Well it's like when you make a deal with the devil. Sure there's an ironic cost to it but as long as everything's going good it could be worse. Only ever had a couple problems with the actual service over the last 8-10 years of having it so it was tolerable that it was ridiculously over priced and the customer service was abysmal. In the last year though we've had billing problems every single month and frequent service outages.

For some reason, Fatal Frame 1 & 2 keep going on sale, but I don't think 3 ever has. But I guess never say never...

And, ya, Slender is probably too new for a sale...but it's only $10 anyway and probably worth it...

I've never had Comcast, but I've been pretty happy with Charter for the most part. The bandwidth has been higher and latency lower than any other ISP I've used in the past, and that's with one of their cheapest plans. I seem to get downtime (for an hour or more) every few weeks though, and that's really annoying, but that's my only complaint with their internet service.

Their TV service is a fucking travesty, though. 0/10, would not recommend... unless you like your cable guide to be filled with ads and unfilterable channels you don't own. And then you'll get random "messages" coming in, telling you to apply for one of their many cable guy jobs... yeah, let me get right on that.

A huge scam? Really? Listen, I had to send my controller back too due to the left stick drifting issue.

However, while I paid shipping there, that money goes to the post office. Sony has to replace the device and ships it back on their dime. This is costing Sony a fortune. How exactly are they 'scamming' me? It's not like they made some agreement with the post office to kick back some of the shipping I paid to them.

Unless you're suggesting they intentionally had a manfufacturing error because impatient people might buy a second controller because they're too impatient to wait a couple days for their controller back? Because if you're suggesting that, that's just crazy. Like, super duper la la crazy.

Yeah, it seems to be the TV service that falls under the most hatred with Charter. A lot hard to fuck up internet service I suppose. If Comcast wasn't winning their fight against net neutrality, and using this merger to squash it even further, I would probably make an attempt to cut the cord.

My city has repeatedly threatened Charter and fined them. Hasn't helped.

 
$7 isn't a lot of money but I can't believe the shipping wasn't free. What kind of shit is that, lolol. The two times I've sent something to Sony they were prompt and it wasn't at a cost to me. And these were much larger items. Their customer service is usually top-notch but clearly that's not a good look to charge people to fix a defective product. Even if the cost is negligible.

Makes it less likely I'll send mine back even though the triggers are driving me nuts. If you happened to buy yours from Amazon some folks have reported getting a partial refund after complaining. I don't think they'll replace it, though. Just a headsup.

I went online and submitted a claim for my Dualshock 4 trigger issue and Sony sent me a shipping box/label for free. I submitted it under the PS4 repair section, so I probably did it wrong, but they didn't have a selection for PS4 accessory repair (they only had PS3 accessories listed). I did provide a correct description in the comments, but i'm guessing that it may have been ignored or is not even read until they receive the item. They took a little over a week to ship me an empty box and I am now shipping it to them, so we'll see if they try to charge me for the shipping somehow or if they return it unrepaired. I'll try to report back.

 
sign up and try the crew beta if you are thinking of buying the game, I played the PC beta for a few hours a few weeks ago and it convinced me to skip the game - buggy and full of microtransactions

Yeah, please update us. I may do that if it worked for you. I wondered if it was worth the trouble but then consider having to deal with it the entire life of the console. Probably best to handle it now while it's under warranty.
 
PlayStation Home was announced to shut down by March 31, 2015 today. Players who log on in the coming months will get unspecified free stuff. Hopefully that means more PSone games. I'm still mad they ran out of Resident Evil 1 keys.
 
Burnout Crash from the last sale is surprisingly a lot of fun for the 2.49 I spent.

Maybe I'll return to Home if I get free stuff.  I like free stuff.

I bought PS4 at launch and the right R2 button started to stick. 5 mins of chat with Amazon and they gave me a credit that was slightly more then the cost of a new controller. Ordered a second controller from them with the credit. The original still sticks at times but I use it with my PS3.

Never heard of Futuridium but I looked it up... it looks like a modern Zaxxon, which means I'll eventually have to get it. Debating on the price though.

Shadow Of Mordor will be mine... in a couple of months once I have funds.

Sherlock Holmes will be mine. Once it drops to $10 or $15. I still have to finish other ones.

Buying Natural Doctrine vita.

Those Namco collections look great, but I wish I could mix and match. My highest wants are all spread across them.

1) Pacman, Galaga, Bosconian

2) Xevious

3) Galaxian, dig dug (?)

4/5 ) only medium wants

 
What are the chances Daylight becoming free with ps+? For ps4 i mean.

I know Outlast got the instant game collection treatment.
