The list is up on the blog. I got Rainbow Moon already for $6 for both the PS3 and Vita. I played it to death. Still haven't did everything but I had a lot of fun with it. I'm excited to play Dust. I saw the gameplay a months ago. I was hoping for something more recent than Batman but all well.

Arkham Asylum is the only game in the series I haven't played so I'm really looking forward to playing it. I do find it a little weird that we got Arkham City for free first.

I'm in the same boat, though Dust is sitting on my 360 unplayed so this will be the version I end up playing. Really the only game new to my library is Pix the Cat.

 
Well we have drive club I guess. I can't see paying $50 for it when horizon 2 is out, but maybe it'll scratch my racing itch.

I know next month will be rough on the wallet so trying to work on my backlog for now I guess...as much as I want to play shadow of Mordor, I can't really justify paying $60 for it when it'll show up at GameStop soon enough.
 
wowzers...  this is 2 months in a row that are sort of yeckk...  

AAA titles don't count if they are 3+ years old...  (Batman)

Rainbow Moon will be fun though.

Seriously, good games, but almost all of them I have on one system or another, or I'd already taken for granted (Drive Club). I'll need to look up Rainbow Moon and Pix the Cat.
 
I'm relatively happy with October's offering, actually, even if I've played 4 of the games already.

I did almost buy the D&D game recently though.

 
I don't really want to complain about free(isn) games, but wow...October sucks.  I wonder if they did that on purpose as to not distract sales away from some of the big games coming out soon. Arkham is a great game, but so old.  We've already had Arkham City as a freebee, seems strange to go backwards instead of giving us Origins.   Spelunky, old.  Dust, old, and already free with GWG a few months ago.  Of course, I don't have a PS4 yet, so I'm not really factoring those towards my assessment.

Hopefully Driveclub feels like a full game and not just a giant paywall ad.
 
Good month of you don't have the stuff already. Spelunky for PS4 is a coup for Sony. It's a big twitch game and this will expose a lot of people (maybe) to PS4's streaming.

But let's be honest. I don't give a crap about this months lineup. I'm just stoked that it means we're one month closer to Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Woo woo!

I love co-op but this is probably the one game you don't want to co-op unless it's with someone already very familiar with the game. Everything kills you - falling off a ledge kills you, arrows hitting walls and falling on your head kills you, taking too long to find the exit kills you. Try the game in single-player and you might end up liking it a lot.
 
Guess it's just costume quest next week for me in October. Hopefully Child of Light is free next month or goes on sale for a decent price between now and black Friday.

 
Wait so if Spelunky is cross-buy does that mean it will also be free for PS3? If so then I guess ill take my complaints back and say that this month will be ok.

Good October Plus offerings for those who don't have these games already.  But Batman: AA, a 3-year old game?  Come on!  That was disappointing, especially when Batman: AC was free on Plus this past April.  For shame!

Dust, Mystara, Drive Club, Spelunky and Rainbow Moon???  Not bad at all.

Sweet, I have none of the PS+ October games. Haven't gotten around to Arkham City, so Asylum slides in front of it in the ol' backlog. It pays (/saves) to be years behind on games!

 
Dodged a bullet on D&D. Seriously considered buying it during the Capcom sale, but I remembered the old pattern: throw a sale, *then* give it away.

Except for Arkham Asylum, I approve of this month overall.

 
Pretty excited about Dust and Rainbow Moon. I already own Mystara, I'll never play Batman again, don't care about Spelunky and I'll try out Pix the Cat, but keeping my expectations low.

You mean a 5-year old game. Batman AA is a great game but not good at all for a PS Plus 2014 lineup.

$3.74 can hardly be considered a bullet. The game has enormous replay value if you're into this type of game. Giving it away on PS+ means we're unlikely to see more of these Capcom remasters, unless you consider that a good thing. I would personally like to see more.

I followed the old pattern for Killzone: Mercenary thinking it'd be a shoo-in for PS+ but I would have gladly paid the $10 if I knew it wouldn't see a discount since.

Satisfied with this month's offerings.  All games that I wouldn't buy myself but I'll take for free.

wow what i was told way WAY OFF.

once again pure crap for me (since i already paid full price for rainbow moon) if i did not have rainbow moon it would been a good month

games i was told my be sale games.. o well

3rd month in a row did not download a single game.. Glad i didnt buy 2 more years of psn.

I bought Dust for cheap back in the 2012(?) Christmas XBLA sale.  I never got around to it, at least I'll be playing a slightly superior version with a better controller now.

 
Slidecage's sources being completely wrong is the really surprising part of this news.

Looking forward to this month's PS+ lineup. I have played Dust: An Elysian Tail already, but got sidetracked partway through so I'll happily give it another shot. I'd have gotten Spelunky anyway via Cross Buy, so I'm excited to get some practice in to hopefully beat it one of these days. I'll probably just pre-order Driveclub off of PSN to take advantage of the discount anyway, so that won't be that useful. Pix the Cat looks like it's a Pac-Man CE clone, so that could be cool.

Already have Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, and Rainbow Moon on PS3/Vita, so those are less useful for me but still some good games for those that haven't checked them out yet.

 
There is no reason to preorder Driveclub, right?  $49.99 is the msrp for PS+ users, and it doesn't look like there any preorder bonuses or extras.  The Destiny digital debacle (cross-play buy didn't get enabled for ~18 hours) makes me leery of ever pre-ordering any PSN game, and I'd like to try out the "free" PS+ version before I decide whether to buy the full version or not.  Plus I got into the PS4 crew beta so will be nice to compare it.

 
First month in a long time I am not really excited for PS+.  I have a lot of these in some form.  That is fine my backlog needs the rest and getting Darksiders II on GWG makes this month great regardless.

I'm pretty happy with the offerings for October even though I already have or played some of the games.

Bought and finished Batman:AA back when it came out.  Sold the disc.  Ended up getting a free Steam copy during last year's CAG Secret Santa in the Steam thread.

Already have Mystara and Spelunky.  Glad my one friend will have Mystara now so we can play co-op.

Really looking forward to Rainbow Moon...plus I'll grab the PS4 games for when I actually buy one (which probably won't be until Uncharted 4 hits).

If it was on sale that high, I don't know of it. I just know it's been on sale for $5.24 and $3.74. Can't imagine people would pay more, frankly. A game could be the best in the world but not many would play something with old graphics.

For everyone new to the game, remember that trolls can only be killed with fire! So use an oil flask or fireball to save yourself a headache.

Spelunky for PS4 has some new features, which includes the ability to upload replays to the leaderboards and being able to see friends' ghosts appear during Daily Challenge runs. The composer is going to release a free EP of remixed songs from himself and others on his Bandcamp page, like the Mega Man composer.

When I bought it on 10/22/13 it was $5.24 and I believe it was cheaper during recent sales.

And who doesn't know that it takes fire or acid to kill a troll?

Just when I thought Sony couldn't possibly do any worse with PS+ freebies, they go and do something like this... and totally redeem themselves!
 
Nice month of freebies.  I already have half of the games, but the others look pretty good too.  Big improvement over last month imo.
