I've seen this and i'll admit that I haven't actually tried it. The vast majority of comments indicate that you can get it to work but it will be problematic and you still have to use a DS4 controller to do some things even in basic apps like Netflix, so I haven't made it a priority to bang my head against the wall trying to fool with it. Regardless of what extent it may work, it's still silly for Sony (or any other manufacturer) to miss or Ignore basic and obvious features that could have easily been anticipated. Perhaps the PS3 remotes didn't sell well enough so they assumed no one cared about remotes, but they are actively steering me (and seemingly others) away from using their console for certain things in favor of other consoles or devices.

 
Heroine Flash Sale is up right now. I think I overpaid for Mirror's Edge (d'oh!), not too concerned about Scott Pilgrim Ultimate. Resident Evil worth it if you don't own a Dreamcast.

Gonna get Skullgirls.

I'm really glad I was too cheap for Mirror's Edge at $5 awhile back.  Of course, now i'm debating waiting until it's free on PS Plus or GWG...

BloodRayne Betrayal has a escape sequence towards the end that takes 10-20 tries, if this kind of thing annoys you then probably $2.5 will only bring you frustration.

 
Can anyone recommend the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection?  Less than a $1 a game seems like a good idea...

And I paid just under $5 for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game "Complete Edition"; of course, it wasn't complete for long, as they now sell the online add-on (+ additional character) for $4.99.  Oddly, it shows I can purchase the "Ultimate Edition" bundle.  Has the Online Multiplayer + Wallace Pack ever been on sale?

The controls have not aged well, but I spent $9.99 on it and I definitely do not regret my purchase. It is good for nostalgia and playing with friends.

It has a couple poorly thought out and frustrating platforming sections in an otherwise stellar game.

It has the exploration of a metroidvania game but almost no combat and not a whole lot of unlocking new things. I liked it but most people didn't. It's VERY heavy on exploration.

 
I have a stupid question. I just don't play my PS3 enough to know. I thought I. He last that only the user that owned a game could play it on the console. Meaning, if my wife got a game on her account, I couldn't play it. Did that change at some point? I thought the last time I tried, I could play one of the two games she got for the outage, whereas I couldn't before... Anyone know the answer to this? TIA

I don't know if it was just a weird game or what, but there's no limitation preventing accounts on a PS3 from playing games owned by other accounts on that same console.

 
golden axe. how does this hold up as a retro side scrolling fighter?

nemesis.   controls will probably drive me bonkers. enough to not want to play it for 1.50?

beyond good and evil HD. never beat it on ps2 for 3.50 this should be my chance to get through it no?

If you haven't played the recent Mortal Kombat 9, that's really the one you should try. It's currently on sale for just under $10, or if you have a gaming PC, Newegg has Steam copies for $5 this weekend. It has a kickass story mode - I know that's a weird thing to say about a fighting game - and tag co-op. Both of the versions I mentioned are the Komplete version, so you get the DLC characters, and on PlayStation, Kratos from God of War as an extra character.

I will most definitely be buying the Korra game for ps4, so you can always wait til I give my thoughts.  BTW, does anyone know what the 3ds game is about?

I hope so, after the flash sale stuff I'll likely have spent enough that the Halloween sale will put me over the $100.

I want that Korra game to be good so badly but there's so many reasons to be concerned.

All I know is that it's supposed to be turn based strategy. That could be a really cool mix but like I said above I'm really worried that these games are going to just shatter all out hopes. The developer of the 3DS version doesn't seem to do anything other than licensed shovel ware. Activision basically went dark on these shortly after announcing them and even the trailer they released with the date is basically a recut of what little they showed a couple months ago. Not that anyone even realized that the games were coming out now. Does not bode well and I want these to be good and do well so we get more Korra.

I'm not sure either. I think it's about 50/50. Sarcasm masking pessimism probably as I try to decide on some of the borderline flash sale games knowing I'll only get to $100 with a great Halloween sale.
 
Edit, nv, misread a post... thought you were talking about the ps4 game, but you were talking about the 3ds one.

As a person who never played the original version, I thought it was great and well presented as a modern title.

It did not seem old or dated. It lived up to the hype that I had heard.

Which is the only real reason to be optimistic. A low budget licensed game game isn't something they've done before though. I'm not really worried about the combat since that's Platinum's bread and butter but what's going to surround it? The little gameplay in the trailers they've put out all seems to be closed off arena combat. At a $15 price point you have to wonder if they have the budget to build anything around that.

Ugh, I'm actually considering purchasing Time and Eternity and Neptunia just to make sure I get over the $100 mark for the promo.  Really wish it was a lower mark and that we knew what would be dropping on the Halloween sale.
