Okay? I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean since other outlets have already confirmed that both systems were running at 720. My point was that there was no discernible difference in resolution at the time of review, yet several outlets (most notably IGN) claimed the PS4 version "looked sharper". Polygon said differently, and yet again, everyone accused them of being Microsoft shills. It's embarrassing.

Although, now, Polygon is claiming to have only used Multiplayer in their graphical comparisons. Which makes absolutely no sense because ps4 was running at 1080 for that. I don't know.

I'll wrap up my football rant with this... When a game changing quarterback like Rodgers goes down the impact of all those injuries to the team become magnified because great quarterbacks provide cover for weaknesses in their roster. The Bears seem to have the opposite problem though... Cutler is actually better for his team when he is not on the field.



I will admit, he's tops in the motivational hugs department.

Cutler is an easy QB to game plan for...  he is stationary, tries to force throws, and will start throwing a hissy fit at his linemen when he gets hit... after holding the ball for 5.6 seconds.  I am SURE that the lineman get together and agree to "whiff" on blocks 2 or 3 times a game just to get him drilled.

The hardest part of the game for the defense is figuring out how NOT to hurt him.  And he does throw sort of hard...  so maybe your DB will drop a pick....

FYI there is PS3 demo for Flower, even though there is no Vita demo. I thought there was no demo until I looked at the PS3 listing. I queued the demo up.

I'm not worrying about what could happen, I'm just not bothering to get a PS4 just yet. I have plenty to last me on my PS3 until there is a price drop on the PS4 and all the launch issues are worked out. Not saying this approach is for everyone. It's just what makes me feel comfortable.

I hear ya, in all honesty I should have my head examined for buying one too as I have a lot of PS3 and XBOX360 content to get through but I'm attempting to only go with one console this gen. I didn't even pre-order any games as I'll probably for now just check out the PS4's plus offerings. I'm also going to literally try buying 1 game at a time to avoid a backlog.

 
I don't understand the Oddworld series of games. I think I tried one of them once. I believe it was the 2D one. I don't have anything against them but this is another remake? It seems like they just remaking the games they made. Not that everyone else doesn't do that too. I think I just missed out on these titles the 1st go around. Every game is somewhat different right? Like a 2D one, a 1st person one, etc. etc.

Something like that, yeah. New N Tasty (originally Abe's Oddysee) has my nostalgia glasses all fogged up with joy. It was really a wonderful, wonderful game. Every other Oddworld game could burn in a fire and I wouldn't care all that much, but that one is an old time favorite of mine.

Psh, I already have a PS4 backlog thanks to Plus and Target's buy 2 get 1 sale. I've made peace with the fact that my backlog will probably never go away. I kind of like it because whatever type of game I'm in the mood for, I probably have a title in the backlog that will scratch that itch. Did I use the word backlog too much in this post?

The only one I've played yet is Munch's Oddysee HD, and I really liked it.

I think I've tricked myself into thinking I have less of a backlog this gen because when most games went cheap I sold off the physical games and bought them digitally, even making a profit in most cases. You know the old out of site out of mind trick? Plus just adds to that insanity. I say I'll buy one game at a time to keep down on the backlog but how do I know I'm not already doomed once the PS4 Plus sales start hitting? I'm not sure I'll ever be backlog free but one can dream. I think of of a utopia where I move from game to game without the extra baggage.

I did however specifically avoid the Target sale :) Go me. There may be hope after all!

Anyone remember the days of saving up all of your money to buy that $30 game?  And then playing it for 6 months because you only had 3 games to play?

If I'm not mistaken doesn't the PS4 version include the DLC? Hopefully that is the reason for the inflated price. Fingers crossed that isn't the new norm; I don't feel comfortable paying more than $15 for a downloadable game in most cases.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Was anyone else able to download Flower for the Vita since the store updated on Tuesday? I didn't have any trouble downloading it last night, so I just think it's odd that they say on both the Blogcast and the blog that Flower for PS4 and Vita won't be available until the 15. Maybe if you originally bought the game on PS3 (like I did), you can get it for Vita "early?"

I'm still astonished that I ever used to replay games. I must have played through Ratchet and Clank almost a dozen times, at least. The days of no backlog...

The Steam version does as well and also costs $20, so that would make sense.

IGN gave a pretty positive review for it and it piqued my interest, but it's $12 and presumably has no replay value. I'm gonna wait for a deep discount or for it to be added to Plus. Also, this is already out on the store. I'm assuming the Blogcast is talking about the Vita version?

 
I have no reason to buy another Vita but it's so awesome I want to. Maybe it's the OLED. I really hope they bring the Vita TV to the US as I've heard that the one from japan is region locked so no importing. Another thing I don't need but want, although with a Vita and Vita TV it would be a pretty sweet travel 1, 2 punch instead of lugging around a PS3 as I've done recently.

I think somebody done fucked up because the page for the PS3 game says "Released November 19, 2013" but you can still add to cart and presumably buy it.

Don't they usually do the same for the Vita version too? Because that appears more like your traditional pre-release page. Or can't you pre-order Vita games via the web store?
