just tried it... no ps4 games showing up. still just ps3. I dont think i can view them unless i register a ps4 maybe? So my original question stands.. will those games be free next week too or are they a launch week only thing? Id be pissed if i hook it up next weekend and resogun and contrast and stuff are gone
I found them all under here on the web store under New PS4 Games or Full Games or All PS4 Games.

4J said a while ago that the PS4/Xbox 360/PS4/Vita/Xbox One versions are all based on the same codebase with the ability to toggle on/off certain features (draw distance, world size, etc) based on the specs of the console it's on.

No, they said all "consoles", which left the question of if they meant the Vita too. That has now been answered.

I always took that as including Vita, which is also a console. Why would they port the Android/iOS version over rather than just port the PS3 version over?

I'm still waiting to see somebody post whether it allows account switching like the PS4; sure, it's region-locked now, but that probably won't always be the case. OTOH if it's limited to one account like the Vita, well, that's no fun at all. Also if it's not locked to one account, then maybe the Vita will follow its example sometime soon.
U.S. retail copies will work under a JP account, so it doesn't appear to be region locked? Of course that means very little if you can't access your US digital games because of the one account limitation.

If anybody here wants to send me PSN friend requests (CrashSpyro) feel free to do so, just mention CAG in your message so I know that you're not a random Youtube person, assuming they still do it that way on PS4.

I could of sworn I read a tweet saying "consoles" and not listing them out like that. I stand corrected!

Real World Dilemma! I want to get either NBA2K14 or NFS on PS4 but don't want to shell out $60 for either. I have a little over $60 in my wallet funds but don't think I want either game digitally either. Ugh.

AWD might be your best bet. I don't think either game is worth $60. That said, NBA2K14 looks and plays great. I have yet to play NFS but I've heard good things about it.

Yeah they aren't worth $60 but then again it's uber rare I spend full price for any games these days. I just kind of want a "showpiece" game for the holidays to show the family. I guess I'll suck it up buy one or the other play it for a bit and then re-sell it. Probably the best way to go.

Finally tackling my backlog, played through Unfinished Swan (meh), Journey out "artsied" it by quite a bit. Almost forgot to pick up CoJ: Gunslinger, that's pretty lame if there is the only item on sale for tomorrow's update.

I just picked up Beyond Good and Evil HD. I've never played the game before, or been particularly interested in it, but all the raving here made me cave.

Wait, is "out artsied it" a good thing or a bad thing?
Good thing, if they are going to make a "game" which is less about gameplay and more about the experience then the experience has to be more worthwhile. Throughout Journey you are often in awe, or fear, or melancholy, etc, but by the end of Unfinished Swan all I felt was "yep, stuff happened in that..." It probably didn't help matters that the first section of the game where
everything is white and you have to navigate by throwing black balls of paint EVERYWHERE
lasted about 15 minutes longer than it should have.

I turned on my ps3 today and I had no friends. I couldn't add anyone and it kept saying error.

It only was on my profile, when I signed in as my wife's profile friends were all there.

I looked online and found out this is a recent issue, I stressed out a bit but found an easy fix.

I deleted all my received and sent messages, signed out, deleted my password and typed it back in and signed in.

Everything was fixed. Hopefully this doesn't happen again and hopefully I helped someone out.

also got CoJ gunslinger, so awesome for $3.xx. Anyone wanna sell me on rayman 3 hd, mad riders or babel rising for $2.50 each or skip them all?

Unfinished Swan to me was a neat game version of a children's book. I enjoyed the way the mechanics evolved over the course of the game.

I enjoyed every bit I played of Unfinished Swan, but if I played it from start to finish, I probably would have had some fatigue.  I basically played it in 30 minute chunks over the course of a month, and I was always taken aback by its charm and, as Frisky put it, its "children's book" vibe.  That's probably why I also enjoyed Brothers so much.

Around, didn't want 3 games though or to spend $120 on the buy 2 get 1 free.
Understood. Technically, Target would let you return games and keep each for $40. I find it dubious, although I happened to return all three of the ones I purchased (due to getting them on Amazon using credit) and the cashier was surprised that I didn't want to swap them out or keep one. I suppose Target doesn't really care and expects that to happen.

Doh! $40 would have been nice! Oh well. I think it's probably because I've ignored a lot of physical game deals lately. After upgrading to a 750GB drive in my PS3, being a Plus member, and the great PSN digital sales I haven't bought as many physical games in general. I even sold off some stuff for their respective digital counterparts. We are in a weird place though now with game sizes and being back at the beginning of a generation. I'm probably going to have to go back to physical at least for now anyway :).

So me and you are on different pages. I much preferred Unfinished Swan because it was less "artsy" and maintained somewhat compelling gameplay. I thought the color splattering was a cool and fairly unique way to present some fairly simple puzzles, and it even expanded on that a little bit throughout the game.

Journey, when broken down to it's absolute core, is just an extremely basic and simple 3D platformer and to me offered almost no compelling gameplay. The hook to Journey was the "artsy" experience, but unfortunately it didn't hook me in at all.

You know you dont need any of those games since you have to ask. Your backlog is in the hundreds right?

Personally The Unfinished Swan and Journey were two of my favorite games last year, for very different reasons. I can definitely see how people could dislike either, but I found them refreshing and charming, and in the case of Journey one of the most beautiful games i've ever seen

I think both are certainly worth playing by everyone, but to each their own.

I really hope Awesomenauts comes out for the PS4 in the next few weeks. Was so happy to hear that it should have been out at launch, then found out it got delayed (Possibly still before EU's launch though)

That was me. And I caved less than 24 hours later. You're on your own now. SAVE YOURSELF!!!
I'm safe, but only because I bought it for 360 when it was sale for dirt cheap. Oh, and I suppose it goes without saying that I haven't played it yet.

I also didn't realize you can only charge controllers in standby mode and not when the system is completely off (yeah dumb but oh well.) I think was this was because I kept reading it could be done not realizing they were talking in standby. I tend to never leave anything in standby for some reason. Usually because I'm busy and I'm never sure exactly when I'll be turning it on again.
I was having trouble charging them in standby. At least I think I was... is the light on the controller supposed to stay on? Mine shuts off in standby when its charging.

Real World Dilemma! I want to get either NBA2K14 or NFS on PS4 but don't want to shell out $60 for either. I have a little over $60 in my wallet funds but don't think I want either game digitally either. Ugh.
Gross... don't ever mention buying a digital game for $60 again.

So, would you say you only play games for the gameplay mechanics and story doesn't matter? ;)

Anyone have Ratchet: Deadlocked installed? How long did it take to install? Mine is taking forever and seems to be stuck from time to time.

EDIT: Nvm, once it got out of the 40s, it moved along like normal.

I now have 5 free PS4 games.  No PS4 though. I wonder how many games I'll "purchase" before I get a PS4.

What fun!

Am I the only person who finds NBA2K's controls incredibly intimidating? It's gorgeous, but it's harder than playing basketball in real life, lol. I miss the days of NBA Street!

You know, the coolest thing so far about next gen has been the social/streaming stuff. I didn't think I would care, but the Twitch integration is awesome. And I'm only speaking from a viewer's perspective. I'm alerted instantly on my phone whenever someone I'm following begins to stream, and apparently the chatroom shows up on PS4.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I didn't do anything and my friends list was back in a few hours. So you probably did all of that for nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again ( I noticed it happened maybe two other times, but I don't pay a whole lot of attention). Hopefully that is something that is ironed out in the next patch.

Yeah, this has happened to me a few times as well. I just kept playing and a few hours later the friends list showed up.

So Worms 2 Armageddon is $5 normally on XBLA.  Why is it still $15 on PSN, does it have extra content that the XBLA version doesn't have?  I do see that it has a Platinum trophy which breifly made it tempting as a re-buy, but then I saw how many of the trophies were online and that makes it a pass for me.

So got to decide on BG&E HD, From Dust, and Clash of Heroes.

Wait, are you playing Call of Duty? I never would have expected that from you. You continue to surprise me.

I can't believe I can't listen to in-game sounds via a regular pair of Bluetooth headphones connected directly to my PS3. Just got a nice pair that it looks like I need some sort of dongle for the headphone jack in my stereo. Unless I'm missing something, this should be a damn core feature if I ever heard one.
