Here's a question for all the Vita savvy folks.

I'm trying to find out how to shut off the annoying blue light on the PS button. I've gone into settings, and disabled the "Light up PS button" option for all notifications, but it still lights up for everything. So in the middle of the night, it'll refresh my live area, and light up the button. I keep my Vita on my bedside table, so the blue light lights up the entire room and annoys the shit out of me to the point that I have to take it off the charging stand and either put it in a drawer or go in and acknowledge/clear the notifications. How do I get this button to just stop lighting up?

I'm having some issues with PSN purchases and wondering if anyone has experienced these problems...Noticed last week or the week before that there was a sale on Retro City Rampage and the PS3 version had a price tag. Could have sworn I had bought it so I checked my download list and noticed I did own it. Now tonight I went to load up Uncharted to play it and it gave me an error saying it expired, I think, and sends me to the store and has a price tag instead of the shopping bag. I bought the dual pack a few months ago on psn and had already played it after buying it. I looked at my download list and can't find it aside from the addons for various languages. Wtf is going on? Anyone else had this problem?

Same issue on mine. Never did find a solution. This combined with it freezing after trying to download something from psn makes me wonder why these issues haven't been fixed yet. I have that white vita from the assassins creed bundle. Is that what you have? Just curious if it is a problem with all of them or if the white one is a revision with problems of its own.
 
Mine is on standby 24/7 too. I started using a Nintendo Club cloth case for it so the light doesn't bother me anymore unlike the other issue. Using a Nintendo thing for it is weird, I know, but fix your shit Sony. Then I wouldn't have to. lol

Can you charge it while into his case? Looks like it has a little nubbin on the bottom, I can't tell if it's to plug a cord into, or a button to open the case. I actually don't have a case for my Vita, just the pouch that came with the accessory bundle they have. I like the stand because it sits nicely on my table and also charges. I'd put black electrical tape over that damn button if I wasn't always pressing it.
 
That Vault case is awesome. It was at Bestbuy for like two weeks at $9.99. Not sure is its still half off or not but its very well worth $20. Maybe Im wrong but I dont think you can charge it while its closed. That button on the bottom you may have noticed is to open the case.

I keep forgetting I have this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Metal-Aluminum-Hard-Protective-Case-Cover-For-Sony-PS-Vita-PSV-/300846703991?pt=US_Video_Game_Cases_Bags&hash=item460bdc6577 which gives the Vita some extra lift and makes it very comfy. Especially for fighters. However, I don't think I'd ever trust that thing on my Vita if I paid full price. It can be a b**** to get off and I'd be iffy about scratches. But, I was 1 of those who got a Cowboom 3G/Wifi Vita dirt cheap(under $70) before that site got big.

I've had the same issue with Retro City Rampage. Which Uncharted game are you referring to, though? And did you have a PS+ subscription that has lapsed recently? I might know a potential cause for the problem but it depends on your specifics -- I had to deal with Sony about a similar issue a few months ago.

Uncharted : Drake's Fortune. I bought the pack that had 1 & 2 bundled. Searched my history several times and neither game is in my download lost. Just the various non English language packs for both games and the dlc for Uncharted 2. My PS+ is good until 2014 but it may have triggered a subscription I had already added to it. If so, its possible that happened on the 12th, so maybe that is the issue. If so, that is pretty dumb considering PS+ had nothing to do with that purchase. I'll contact support. Fortunately, I have the order date and order number handy.

That's a little odd, and different from my own issue, but maybe there's a similar thread there. PSN has a glitch where if you buy a game bundle containing a game you've claimed for "free" on PS+, the expiration date gets messed up -- it happened for me with three separate games (Costume Quest, M:tG DotP and Virtua Fighter 5). In a nutshell, rather than eliminating the expiration date altogether as a paid purchase should, it locks the expiration date in place instead; if you extend your PS+ subscription, the messed up games still expire and vanish when the old subscription would have lapsed. Same thing has happened to a lot of people who claimed the first two free Walking Dead episodes and then bought the full bundle.

Your situation is a little different but I'm wondering if it may be related (since U1 and U2 were never PS+ freebies). Did you by chance claim the PS+ free hour trial for either one before you purchased the bundle?

Sony was responsive when I reported the problem, but their solution was to erase all three purchases from my history and refund my money, which took about ten days to process. I don't think they have the faintest clue how to squash this glitch.

Any word on PS2 classics eventually working on the Vita? I recently had an epiphany to the tune of "Why the hell am I not playing my Vita when Odin Sphere is part of the PS2 classics?!" and then I found out why...

And before anyone recommends Muramasa or Dragon's Crown: NOPE!

I am enjoying Guacamelee! immensely though, no doubt because it's the only Vita game I own--MGS3 and Xenogears don't count--and because I was accustomed to disappointment (Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Ragnarok Odyssey, Soul Sacrifice, Ninja Gaiden Sigma)

What are the odds that we'll ever see the Daily Challenge in Spelunky PS3/Vita? Is that not possible due to publishing issues or something? I really wish we had that feature. :(

That makes the PS+ cards 4 months for $13 at Best Buy. Not a bad deal if you want your subscription piecemeal (3 month card+1 month card) so you can subscribe/ resubscribe when you want.

You could buy a years worth for $39, and if you skip enough weeks in between, stretch it to a year and a half/ two years.

 
Awful week.  Limbo was just $6, now it's on sale again for $12.

As awesome as August was with sales (I spent probably $50+), September has been equally awful.  I don't recall getting many deep discounts on games either this month.  Supposedly we have better sales than EU to make up for that fact that their IGC is 10x better, but we didn't get any good sales this month.

Wasn't Limbo just $5.99 a few weeks ago? I'm pretty sure that's what I paid. Seems like an odd sale price when it was just recently so much cheaper.

EDIT: Tyler's post above confirms my thinking.
