Been waiting for KoA, so really happy it's finally in for +.  But I'm feeling greedy and sad that Sine Mora is Vita only, I really liked the PS3 demo.  Sony seems to be spacing out the goodies for NA+ a lot (good months sandwiched between lesser months), but at least we eventually get the good stuff (good in my opinion, I know my game prefs aren't everyone's).  So far I'm ok with the better EU IGC games eventually coming to NA, even if it's not all of them and that it takes several months.

 
Definitely more highly thought of games this month, but still nothing that really interests me much.  At least it appears like they tried to make it a good month this time and Plus is more than worth the cost so I won't complain.  

 
at least this month  sony did not take a  100%   :joystick:  on the vita.   Hopefully next  month   we get 3 new vita  cart based games and the old 3 get  out (uncharted,wipeout and  ,,,)

 
only thing i'm jealous of eu having is dragon's dogma. the others have been pretty cheap throughout the year, and some with good returns on trade ins later. even then, fc3 is the only other one worth being jealous of, imo. nfs wasn't that good, sfxt is a fighter(which we all hated before, right?), and ac3 is typical ac. though i'm sure we'll see ac3 at some point for free, and probably even far cry 3.

makes me sad. especially since they won't put these damn games on sale. if they did more 75% off sales, they could put as many vita games as they wanted in plus. shame they wasted so many psp slots on fighters. even if a couple were good ones.

 
I guess I can get rid of my ico and shadow disc, plus a much easier set up for remote play. Cool beans. I almost bought sine mora yesterday AND I've been dying to play amalur again so this will be a great month for me.
 
Wow - it's going to be a great month for PS+! I have been wanting to get SotC, Sine Mora, Hotline Miami and maybe even Kingdoms. Awesome! Poker Night 2 is not something I'd ever buy, but for free, why not?

Still pretty inferior to the EU lineup, but I guess it's pointless to continue making this a zero-sum sort of thing. Glad I waited on H. Miami. Ico/SotC I gamefly'd but swiftly returned because of the archaic controls - still nice to own them. KoA is pretty good, just very unassuming and generic. I highly doubt any of you backloggers/hoarders here will finish it, lol. I suck at poker in real life, sooo, yeah. Sine Mora is a beaut, and really pops on vita's screen. Wish it was cross-buy, though.

 
Damn, really disappointing month for me. Sine Mora is currently in a Humble Bundle, Hotline has been as low as $2.50 on Steam, Kingdoms of Amalur has frequently been $10 on Xbox so I already have it there, couldn't care less about poker, and already bought SOTC when it was on sale recently for $5 and haven't even played it. I didn't even like it on PS2, so I guess I open my wallet for anyone. No one else thinks it's grimy that they split up a retail title so they can have two offerings?

I was really hoping for Street Fighter x Tekken on Vita especially since it comes with a DLC voucher for the PS3 version. I guess getting it to run on my US Vita would be a pain if I purchase a EU PS+ subscription?
 
Just a PSA, the save $10 on a year Plus subscription at Best Buy ends tomorrow.  Granted, it's not much of a difference than buying it from the store but you'll get the $10 savings up front and if you have credit like I do, it's even better.

 
Good update, I have KoA: Reckoning but haven't played it. Glad to see SoTC, I gave up after about 1 hour and wanna give it another try.

Certainly not trying to dissuade you from your disappointment, but I think comparing psn and steam prices any day of the week is silly. anything that's on both psn and steam has a near 100% likelihood of being cheaper at some point on steam than on psn. these free games / psn sales are probably not aimed at someone that has a command over pc gaming and the lovely steam sale logistics.

You're right about Steam prices often being lower. I wasn't really comparing the two, just pointing out where else the games have been cheap since a lot of us here do play on PS3, Xbox, and PC.

This is true, and the reason I don't own or want any consoles, but Sony is far better than MS in this regard. PSN has had great deals, like $5 MK vita off the top of my head. It's never been that cheap on steam. Only problem is they're few and far between and you need a paid subscription for the best deals. With steam and 3rd parties selling steam keys it's just a constant onslaught of good deals.

 
Good month - I was going to pick up Hotline to get me up to $50, now I can add something else in there instead.

More stuff I don't have for US PS+ this month than EU, so I'm good now.

I didn't even like it on PS2, so I guess I open my wallet for anyone. No one else thinks it's grimy that they split up a retail title so they can have two offerings?

I was really hoping for Street Fighter x Tekken on Vita especially since it comes with a DLC voucher for the PS3 version. I guess getting it to run on my US Vita would be a pain if I purchase a EU PS+ subscription?

As I've said before, I'm not so much concerned with "getting the games I want" as I am with SCEA's lack of effort. Seems they just throw whatever they can at a wall hoping it sticks.

Not a good month for me since I already have everything, though I guess I can at least play Poker Night 2 on PSN to get the Borderlands 2 stuff.

To offer some additional information on the games, Poker Night 2 has a number of unlocks for Borderlands 2 along with some themes:

Hotline Miami has a platinum for those that are interested in that. It's a fantastic game that definitely plays best on PS3 and Vita, which makes me wish the PC version offered custom control schemes.

 
Nice month for Plus members, thank god I stopped buying games from the PS Store long loooong ago.

Those unlocks for BD2 look great, thanks for the heads up Frisky.

Well in all fairness those two games are among the best reviewed PS2 games out there. Bundling them together for $40 was probably more for retailers anyway, as one $40 bundle would take up less shelve space than two separate $20 games.

Wow, now I've got ICO and SoTC free from PS+.  I never played either and wanted to play them.  Now I don't have to buy the disk.  Also been wanting KoA: reckoning for a long time.  It looks like I won't have to buy that game either. 

I have to admit, I was skeptical of PS+ but signed up a few months ago and it's a seriously good value.  I'm not even sure I need to buy games any longer..

He is probably referring to the PS+ EU update back in June, they gave the Collection as one game.

I wanted Hotline Miami and Sine Mora and probably have bought them soon if not for this so good month for me. Poker Night 2 doesn't hurt either as it slightly interested me. I didn't like SotC on the PS2 but that was ages ago so I'll give it another shot. (Same as ICO from last week which I haven't played yet).

I have Kingdoms of Amalur on disc so that one does nothing for me as the disc isn't worth enough(considering I bought it used for $8) to bother selling it and then downloading from PSN.

Im excited just for KOA. Been trying to rebuy that game on PSN for $10 but kept missing all those deals. That alone makes the month awesome for me. The rest sound great to but some arent exactly my style of game. Cant wait!

Me too. I wanted that game pretty badly. I bought the DLC on the 360 in anticipation of buying the game now that DLC is going to waste.

 
Not a bad month next month.  Already played and beat KoA and SoTC, but at least they are respectable titles everyone is getting.  Just wish they'd put the KoA DLC on sale so I can get just a little more playtime.  Decent game, but DLC cost more than what I paid for the game a year ago!
