I need to learn not to buy games during PSN sales because they are often free before I get to them (SotC).  Either way, I'm looking forward to playing Amalur.  I've almost bought it several times.  

 
For some reason, Urban Trial Freestyle is not showing up for $5 in the store on Vita, but it priced correctly when I went through the Sony Entertainment Store on my phone. Just a heads-up.
 
I sold my ICO/SOTC set on ebay for 13 earlier this week, figured had Ico in IGC and would wait for SOTC to go on sale again but getting it in IGC is fine by me too.

Dangs it I shouldn't have bought Shadow/Ico (still sealed) and got KOA back in when BB had it for $15 but with the 100% bonus at BB gone, gotta keep it I guess. Either way Hotline Miami does make me glad :D

All three games seem to regularly go for $15-$20 at least, so $9.99 seems like a good price to me.

 
Metacritic isn't showing any review scores for Rain. Doesn't it come out Tuesday? I wanted to read some reviews before pre-ordering since I usually never buy digital titles at launch. Do you think some reviews will be out tomorrow?

I just finished playing the Beyond TS demo and enjoyed it. I'm thinking of going to GS tonight to pre-order that. I just need to find another game besides SR4 to do the trade 2 promo. And since I liked the demo so much I think I'll finally open and play Heavy Rain :) Hopefully I can beat it in 2 weeks.

i already platinumed KOA and sold it long ago, but if theres a sale on the DLC i'll check that out i guess. pretty good game. you just gotta ignore like 90% of the sidequests that are total filler bullshit.

also i really need to get around to getting Siren sometime.

Also, I remember hearing that Fatal Frame was bugged on the PSN? Is that true and have they fixed it?

They haven't been on sale since they're fairly new additions. They did pull whichever game was bugged and released a patched version in place of it, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

 
Breakfuss - I'm always an asshole and keep the case ;) Did that with my kh1.5 also this week and got more then i paid and kept the artbook/case. I want a regular case anyway for that game and will buy when on sale. ill post a pic of my ps+/digital shelf someday.

also awesome 'gainaxing' of your avatar pic ;)

Dangs I always trade whole thing, never thought of keeping the case. BTW how much did KH1.5 give you? I asked at the BB, but the trade in value did not come up :\

For some reason it's listed as "No Sign" in their system, so unless you had an employee scan it for you, they never would have found it.

They were (insanely) giving $40 for it last week, whoever input the values must have thought it was originally a $60 game. As of yesterday they're giving $25.

Oh good, I might pick up Darksiders II at that price so I can sell off my disc copy.

I went ahead and picked up Assassin's Creed 1 on the PS3. I'm halfway through on the PC but I never seem to want to sit and play a game at my computer anymore. Next gen 1 platform 1 ecosystem. Too many stores and places to play games. I'm tired of it.

a bit late to the party here but I wanted to say that I really like the October ps+ update. Great games all around, I was waiting for a sale on Hotline Miami but free is better, was hoping for Kingdoms of Amalur ever since europe got it, so that's nice. Poker Night 2 and Shadow of the Colossus I already have and I heard Sine Mora is good so I'll give it a try, even though shoot'em ups aren't my thing.

That said we've got a great month with KoA, SotC, and hotline miami.
 
The reason why there hasn't been any Rain reviews is the embargo.

I played it for review but can't talk about it much because of the same reason as well.

I would say though that it will likely be talked about in the likes of Journey, Unfinished Swan and Gone Home.

 
Another lame week of discounts.  I miss the $5 games.  Unless they come out with some sort of mega sale in the next couple weeks, no way I'm getting anywhere near $50 this time.

If that was the case, then all indications point to it as being a very good game. So I don't understand why the embargo? 99% of the time when there's an embargo placed on a game until the release day, that game is bad. The latest in recent memory is Aliens: Colonial Marines.

There are obviously exceptions, but I agree that it's almost never a good sign when a game is still "embargoed" this close to its release. Seems cowardly on the developer's/publisher's part. Even shadier when you consider all the pre-order nonsense they throw out to blindly reel people in.

That was Trine 2 recently on sale. Wait for a Atlus sale cause thats when I got Trine 1 for $5. I can see Trine going on sale before Okami HD. I hope I'm wrong since I also want to pick up Okami HD.

Man I need to stop buying games. I already have KOA when it dropped to $20. I'll probably trade it in at GS if it's not too big of a download. I got SotC when it was on sale for $5. I'm not too mad about the update. Actually I'm happy as hell. We get Hotline Miami, Sine Mora and Poker Night 2. I heard nothing but good things about all these games.

Off topic, but did anyone see that Killzone: Shadows Fall is going to be a 50GB download on the PS4?? Not that I needed any other reason to buy physical whenever possible, but those considering going all digital are gonna fill your hard drive(s) mighty quick.

 
I knew about KH1.5 not showing up in the search, so I was a jerk and had them scan the upc off the box and then told them i wanted to keep box/artbook/case. They were cool with it. Ouch for KoA Reckoning being 13.xx gig, but still rather it be huge file and free and accessible. I am a lazy bastard and switching disks from cod/gta is too much for my fat ass. lol
