Yeah, I've tried that a couple times. I guess I"ll leave it up while I'm at church and hope it's done when I get back.  Either way, thanks for the heads up on the deal.  I did that Target one the other day for 10 movies and another one on Vudu for 5 movies. I just can't resist these free movies.

Edit: It went through! Thanks again for the heads up.  They're SD movies but free is free!

It was $27.99 for Plus back in May. If you want the DLC it's a fine price but it's just more costume colors and glasses I believe. If you don't care about that stuff it's been available cheaper at retail a few times.

 
Quick, dumb question: downloading the Plus version of Uncharted 3 + free MP is all I need to get all the base trophies, right?  I'm considering trading in my copy of the game.

I think so. There are only like 2 MP trophies, if I remember right. I think all you have to do is finish a game to get them. The rest are single player.

Actually, I just read that you can't get the co-op trophy without buying a DLC pack, I guess I should have looked it up before asking. Ah well, not a big deal, I'll just get those two trophies tonight and trade the game in tomorrow, it'll save me some hard drive space too.

I keep cheating at poker night. my son loves to watch it tho and hates when i boot claptrap ;) fun stuff tho when it isnt skipping.

 i remember long nights gambling in the casino in god hand. good times

also just beat The Last of Us on survival mode. wooo good stuff. but wow, i ran through 90% of the game with no health packs and low health, hoping to find anything anywhere. they really skimp on the supplies, it is great. like 50+ of the drawers and stashes are empty, and even when you shiv a door open it's like an arrow, half a bottle of alcohol and some upgrade points. Good times tho. I really shouldn't have been so sparse with my flamethrower ammo tho, i really only used it on the last clicker/bloater sewer path and it chewed through them all like butter.

Great Game tho and now i got all 8 difficulty trophies ;)

also just beat The Last of Us on survival mode. wooo good stuff. but wow, i ran through 90% of the game with no health packs and low health, hoping to find anything anywhere. they really skimp on the supplies, it is great. like 50+ of the drawers and stashes are empty, and even when you shiv a door open it's like an arrow, half a bottle of alcohol and some upgrade points. Good times tho. I really shouldn't have been so sparse with my flamethrower ammo tho, i really only used it on the last clicker/bloater sewer path and it chewed through them all like butter.

Great Game tho and now i got all 8 difficulty trophies ;)

what the....i so expecting to have a halloween sale on horror/scary games on PSN, but apparently they dont have such a sale this year??

i was expecting lost survivor/RE:revelations/Corpse Party 2 to go on sale, but so far no sale??? and its less than a week and a half till halloween.....

Anyone getting that Batman game for Vita? I'm curious to see if it's well received. It looks good and previews have been promising. And I love me some Metroidvania.
 
Ordered a 1tb drive for the ps3 due to my hd being full from psn+ and having to constantly delete a game in order to make room for new games being offered. Waiting to see what comes up for sale on tuesday! Should i go ahead and buy a 1yr pass now or wait till black friday?

Well it looks like GS is going to offer them for $30 which means BBY probably will too so I would wait.

They won't because it's a black Friday sale but if GS has it on sale the odds of BBY having it as well are very high since discounts on things like PS+ where there's no margin are usually sponsored by the manufacturer and multiple stores get the same or similar discount.

Me for sure. Armature is awesome and they seem to really love and take pride in what they make (dat Injustice port!). The gameplay videos make it look awesome even though the combat looks like it's a bit slowed down from its console brethren to me.
 
The fact that the Vita version comes out the same day as the main game but takes place after that game's story has me waiting at least a week on Blackgate.

I plan to buy both games at launch, provided there are some okay reviews on Blackgate. Looks good to me, but IGN had a sketchy preview on it. Its just a shame that no retailers are offering a discount when you buy both. I thought that would be a no brainer.
 
im gonna (try to) wait for ps4 til a pricedrop. maybe 1-2 years. my backlog is insane. i know i said the same of my ps2 backlog, but with trophies/etc im gonna try to keep it. altho i already have 30 off a dual shock 4, so i might have that controller for awhile, lol.

it isnt a funds issues as much as a time in the day and sizable backlog. when i went ps3 with that sony card deal i swore i would finish my ps2/gamecube backlog, but that never happened... still waiting to get a full game of dokapon kingdom with my kids/wife someday...

altho i hated buying ps2 copies of gimped ps3 games, i.e. lego batman, mercs 2, marvel ultimate alliance 2 i think were a few games i had to 'rebuy' on ps3 when i already owned ps2 versions. also i so hope ps+ lets you 'purchase' games on the website like you can now, so I would have a sizable library the day i decide to buy a ps4. i sure would hope so...

The combat is a bit annoying, I played the 3ds version hoping to god the vita version runs a bit faster. The combat was terribly sluggish, and the visuals made me realize the vita version is the version to get.

I'm getting it at launch(midnight) that's a no brainer, and I'm sure to love it. It's batman. I'd say don't let reviews scare you off. If you have interest in it, buy it, and Try to form your own opinion on it because Im willing to bet it will split gamers. Some will hate it some will like it, so it will be best to just try yourself.
 
Well. The PSN deals for the week should be up tomorrow on the PSN blog. This is their last chance to present any discounts compelling enough to get me to use $50 in PSN money.

Not very optimistic.

I would imagine this is the last update. Wouldn't make as much sense otherwise. On the original promo page in the PSN blog, none of the staff responded to any user comments. I'd say we're likely to see a "last chance to take advantage of this deal!" tagline/reminder on the PSN blog tomorrow.

I fully agree with the comment you made right before this one, as an aside.

 
Batman Blackgate looks terrible in the videos. The combat looks awful. To me the it looks like the devs were so thrilled with that rotating around corners animation that they forgot to make a game as well.

I really want to grab Batman for Vita but I think at this point I'll wait for reviews. I have a good amount to play through anyway. I want it to be good but I guess we'll see. They were talking about it on podcasts a lot but people kept saying most of the demos were from older builds (around e3). Hopefully they have polished it\made it better since then.

I actually just started playing AA yesterday and I'm not liking the POV very much at all; it's fine in combat, but walking around with Batman taking up like the left half of the screen is so disorienting and doesn't feel right at all. POV should be a bit further back and centered, not over-the-shoulder, IMO.

It looks like the problem with Blackgate is that they decided to keep the slow-motion aspect of the fighting. That works a bit with the original games, but for a sidescroller the emphasis should be on speed and tight controls. Slow-motion from that angle just ends up making the game seem horrendously laggy.

I just watched the same video and I'd say my only problem from a purely "watching it" point of view was the combat. It does seem slow. It looks like they really went after the console games cinematic approach. Hopefully those slow downs give enough weight to the punches to make it satisfying. Hard to say.

I was impressed with the outside areas though as I've only ever seen the screens of the indoors. The rest looked pretty impressive.
