I appreciate it to an extent and I agree it looks great but yeah I didn't play it back in the day. I keep wanting it to be more precise similar to Tony Hawk but this is just so rough around the edges. Losing a level due to the wonky controls on top of being chased and the time limit is just too annoying. I'm glad this was a PS+ freebie though because I think my time with it is done.

I played it for the first time on Xbox 360 and I enjoyed my time with it. Looks really good, but yes the controls got in the way several times. Even thinking about playing it on Vita (which just can't match up with a PS3 or 360 controller) does make me cringe a little bit.

Oh hell yes, fighting games are on sa— oh wait, it's just the Vita. It's cool, it's not like anyone plays fighting games on consoles. Or plays fighting games that aren't terrible.

Divekick is amazing though and everyone should play it. I also played one level in Kickbeat once, and it was kinda fun on Hard. I probably wouldn't jump on it at that price, though.

Man, that goes to show how long those four hours felt for me. I wanted to play it because they said they'd show you what was behind that magnetic wall in the hatch. God, I was stupid(er) then.

 
I used to do a podcast for Lost, so suck on that. That's back when people still listened to podcasts though.

Also, I have seen every episode at the very least, 10 times. I used to blog for thetailsection.com and docarzt.com. I like Lost. A lot.



I used to listen to one every week. I think it was called The Lost Podcast with Jay & Jack. Was that you? Or are you bitter rivals with them?
 
Lost is one of my favorite shows of all time, I still love it and intend to watch it again on dvd soon. It holds up really well upon repeated viewing. 

 
Watching a Kate episode or anything post season 3 more than once sounds like my idea of hell.



There was some damn good shit post-season 3. Like "The Constant" for instance. Or any Desmond episode. Or all of it. I still love the later seasons

Made the time to finally play through The Last of Us in a birthday-Halloween indulgence. Holy shit.

Glad I didn't buy digital because I don't see myself playing through it again, but it was definitely worth playing. I recall a review stated that it wasn't exactly a fun game because it's so stressful, and I think I agree. I played it on Hard and it really had me on the edge of my seat.

That fucking sequence playing as Ellie in the snow was almost too much. A 14 year old girl being stalked by all those men, and the way she stabs them to death... shit was fucking intense.

And the ending caught me totally off guard. I kept waiting for Joel to go back or try to make it right... but he didn't. Maybe it's more realistic, since I didn't expect it to end happily ever after, but when he shot Marlene, that was cold. Totally dark and depressing.The final conversation with Ellie just made it that much worse.

 
That first Desmond episode was awesome. I loved watching that intro over n over of him starting the music and doing his daily routine and then the cam zooming up to see the hatch opening up. They did the same thing with that blonde chic but i could care less.

ok i might have missed this, but do we know if we can get the ps4 ps+ games online like you can do with ps3/vita on the website? cuz ya know i don't have a ps4 but id still love to have a bunch of games ready to play when i get one eventually. thanks alot

and yeah last of us was awesome. i played easy/collectibles and then survivor. i would have had the plat (i guess, idk, difficulty of mp trophies) but bought used and flipped back, no online pass. This is total spoiler, but if you have beat the game check out this final scene, it is hilariously weird.

also is it just me, or cuz i played them right after eachother, both going stealthy (1 freaking human kill with melee instead of square knock out on accident and it auto saves, no shadow ranger trophy for me, grrr) but doesn't Metro last light and the Last of Us have similar title songs. My kids were like, hey they used the same music in both, lol. I have very observant kids too, lol, and wait maybe they shouldnt be watching me play Metro or TLOU. Great parent here.

Also Troy Baker and Nolan North for the win. Saints Row 4 had both also (tho could only choose one as main male voice) Those two guys rock.

Ellie is bad ass. Watching Joel go off on the soldier at the end was hardcore awesome and the torture scene, but Ellie going around in the snow and stabbystabby was just so hardcore. I wish I wasn't so frugal with my flame thrower ammo tho, I saved it all through the game on survivor and only used it for that final subway run with multi bloaters/clickers/runners and it chewed them up like butter. I had a full arsenal on that final 'level' but stealthy is still the way to go if you want to live against ranged dudes with machine guns.

Looks like they didn't address the only issue that matters. Maybe there's a backside fix and they just don't want to mention it and advertise that it wasn't working well in the first place.

Did notice, under trophies, they said "Rarity of the trophy cannot be displayed.". I guess we'll be able to see the rarity of our trophies on PS4?

I check psnprofiles.com for the rarity of the trophy. kinda misleading because it shows what % of people that have played the game have the trophy, so ps+ games the % goes way lower, but i check that out while playing a game to see what i might miss, tough trophies, etc at a glance.

Yeah I check that too. It will be interesting to see it on the PS4 as well. And yeah, PS+ totally affects rarity. 4 of my 5 rarest trophies are PS+ games (3 from Knytt Underground and 1 from Quantum Conundrum). My #1 rarest is actually from Cloudberry Kingdom. I guess a whole lot of people quite on that game.

 
Cloudberry Kingdom is great. I don't play alot of it, but I start it up and it keeps my 3 y/o entertained on that music intro auto play for a good 15 minutes. lol. more great parenting advice. Better than 9-2 caillou and thomas tank engine crap.

I got some rare ones. My top five are all 1.75 or lower. My rarest is 0.59% for MLB 12 Vita plat, which will most likely not go higher since the servers are closed and it has online trophies.

i have it and its a really great horror game with great atmosphere, but its some of the small things that annoy me.....like how its SO FREAKIN HARD TO SEE DOORS/exits in the levels.....and theres not even any tutorial/in game guide to tell you what pill do and even that you can aim for headshots with the gun

still a nice game but its got some annoying little things...

 
Everywhere I complain about this, no one cares -- but it's a big deal to me. Kingdom of Amalur, which I did buy on the PC, has a game-stopping bug of it -- more than one, but I personally encountered one. I have to go back two hours to my previous save to keep playing the game. It's not worth it.

This is not acceptable. I don't know when game-makers decided it was.

Imagine if your Blu-ray stopped playing halfway through and the distributor's reaction was "We'll patch it later. Maybe."

Obviously that is not their reaction. I would get a refund, another copy, or if it is widespread, there would be a recall or a disc replacement program.

Why do game-makers get away with such nonsense?

I know no game is bug free -- but having one that literally prevents me from progressing in the game is inexcusable.

If it's any consolation, the studio that made this game is now out of business. Red Sox are that terrible.

But yeah, games like these are just rampant with this kinda shit. I think Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the two biggest offenders. My problems with those games lie well beyond their terrible game engines, but the fact that people can play them and later claim that they're the best games of a generation is mind numbing to say the least.
