so i guess im going for the platinum in okami after all. im already 50 hours deep, why quit now right? pretty much all i have left is getting the last 40 or so stray beads and the last couple treasures, then beating the last final of the game.

It's very rare that I pull out my vita at work or with my non-gaming family/friends and say, "look. at. this. shit". Haha, I've done it several times now with Tearaway. Oh, and if you have kids, they will love it. /rant

If it has that kind of lasting impression, I don't mind paying retail for a short experience. I want to finally finish Guacamelee, but once I beat that, I may purchase it off PSN. It's 10% off there anyhow. Might as well go ahead and hit $60 then and get the $10 back too.

I found myself agreeing 100% and nodding with everything you said until that. Are these your personal scores for the games, because they sure ain't the review avg. I don't necessarily agree with the critic reviews, but its 9's and 8's across the board for the most part on all three.

I'm with you on your take of the series though. They decided it was a good idea to go with a "cooler", edgier Jak and checkpoints from hell in the second game and I hated it with a passion. Only reason I went through the collection is because I was playing them with my son.

I redeemed one last night and one today, last night I had to try many times, but today it went through first try.

For people saying to wait for a promo, isn't there a risk that some scammer might randomly try codes and end up using your code? Too many people are trying to scam using PSN or XBL, I just don't trust them.
 
Opinions on the Ys series?  I'm interested in Memories of Celcetta after seeing some gameplay from Seven and noticing that they appear to be similar.  I know the originals are different and have a unique battle system.  Is this unique battle system good?  And, if I were to start the series, what games should I pick up on sale?

just double checking but im assuming the $10 back is cumulative right? I.E. i could get the Y's games now then find something to fill out the rest of the limit by tues?

 
I have a question, to qualify for the $10 from purchasing $60, do they have to be all in one transaction? Like I bought $17 worth of stuff on the PSN like 2-3 weeks ago, just now I bought $50 worths. So will I get the $10 back? Thanks.

Still can't get any codes to redeem on PS3 PS Store, but got my other PS+ code to finally go through on my Vita.  I'm good til May 2016, got I'll be 30 years old by the time it expires.

Also just realized that my entire download history is probably completely rearranged now that I've put on these new 2 years of Plus.  God I hate that!

What if I spend $60.01, will I have to return a penny to get the deal?

And since 1 Amy=$2.99, if I spend 20 Amys, will I still qualify even though I'm 20 pennies short? Is there an Amy avatar just in case I need it, or am I just screwed?

I tried to purchase Worms 2: Armageddon on the web store and it keeps showing the regular sale price instead of the discounted PS+ price of $4.50 but it is still showing discounts for everything else on the site. I logged in and out several times to no avail and I even fired up the PS3 and I'm still having the same problem. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. There's something like a 1 in 3615 chance someone might guess a given PSN code.

Has anyone tried Saint Seiya Brave Soldiers? I'm tempted to spend my credit from the last $10 for every $50 spent, during this $10 for every $60 spent deal. I was also probably going to add Soul Calibur 2 HD to push it over.

Crap, you will need to spend another 59.99 now, it has to be multiples of 60.

 
I took advanced stat n probability in college. Frisky is right, 50/50. 

 also I am older and have more kids then everyone in here. ;)

PSN uses a 12 digit alpha numeric code system so there are 36^12 different unique codes at any given time. Odds are defined as the number of favorable outcomes compared to the number of unfavorable outcomes. I most certainly can tell you you that the ODDS of somebody guessing your code is not 50/50. I realize that Frisky was being very tongue and cheek, but still couldn't read that without saying something.

I really loved math in college. I was and always will be a math dork. I would walk in late for advanced calc exams and get done 1st and walk out like a boss and 100%+ that shia. I miss taking exams cuz it made me feel boss, it's just like a foreign crazy language, like a puzzle game you have to work out. I was just joking with that 50/50. 

n yeah i got lots of kids, but im really not that old, just started too young, lol. I just turned 30 this year. Kids are a great excuse to still be playing vid games at my age, etc. I would feel a lil odd if I was out spending $100 on skylanders if I couldnt blame it on my kids. and like other cags have said, it sucks when my lil one breaks the portal of power, or a ds3 controller, or whatever, but then that's an easy excuse to have to buy more crap. Also I can always blame games like Hannah Montana, Afrika, Sims3, even Beyond by saying my kids were playing it, lol. Also Im at the point where my kids are babysitting my other kids. Iv got a 14y/o and she babysits my 1y/o and 3y/o, so its all cool. plus they have sleepovers with all their friends, so im just waiting til they turn 16-18 and I can be the creepy mean dad that yells at them for running around the house in their underwear while im trying to drink my beer and watch the game.  idk zone.

n tyler, more dependents is good when april 1st comes around. i got a cool 8k this year. i know i need to just redo my tax exemption and pay stub taxes etc, but still it feels like free money so i dont complain.

so if we redeem the year of ps+ when they have the +3 month promo, we get the 3 months also. i guess ill hold my ps+ cards i got on bf til they burn a hole in my pocket or they have a good promo deal like +3 months. Thanks all
